The Lions, like the Rams did, win with Goff but they WONT win a title with Goff. In fact, the next time the Rams see them in the playoffs, they wont be so lucky as they get stomped on the way to the Rams 3rd title and Staffords second ring.

I think there is too much supernatural mysticism at work here concerning J. Goff. He has the tools to be a SB Champ, he just needs to be in the right system and believe in himself.
This said, I hope our Rams are able to knock them out of the playoffs the next time we meet in the post season.

Goff does look better with the lions. It seemed like when he was with the rams mcvey had to lead him to where they wanted to go. He has grown, but mcvey once he has his mind made that is it. Could goff win a sb maybe. Matthew did and may win another.
He may look better but no nfl qb is worth 50 + million dollars a year , qb's are going single handedly take up 25% of the salary cap by themselves ,by next yr it will be closer to 33% of the salary cap.. every team has the same problem , lack of skill position players because of the qb market .. I'd like to see the market for qbs collapse ,then you'd see better more exciting games on a consistent basis ,teams will suffer a talent disparity from this pure greed by nfl qbs
Well, he looks better because the Lions probably have the best offensive line in the NFL and offensive playmakers everywhere, so the offense is loaded he just has to be a game manager and not turn the ball over 😆

Stafford's implied threat is to not perform to the best of his ability under the terms of the contract he agreed to that made him a very rich man. He could've waited until contract extension time. Instead, he's choosing greed over honor. The Rams will submit to blackmail because they want him to be happy, but Stafford is a lesser man for doing this.

I'm a lions fan not at all a fan of Jared Goff. Stanford is twice the quarterback and tough as nails, absolutely love that guy. Stafford will win another super bowl maybe two before the Lions get a sniff and that won't happen until Goff is gone. If Stafford was with the Lions now he would win three in a row and retire he never had this kind of talent around him when he was on the Lions. The Rams had a good draft and I expect them to contend for the super bowl this year. The Lions had a good draft but they're not going to do anything special this year Goff just can't take a team to a title.

Agree 100%. Finally a Lions fan that’s not delusional when it comes to the Stafford-Goff comparisons. Sad that Stafford couldn’t stick it out in Detroit for one last re-build. I don’t blame him though; no one else saw this coming either. But I’m glad he’s with the Rams and got his ring though, and hopefully a couple more.

If this Jared golf was the quarterback when the Rams lost to the patriots in the Super Bowl, then there would’ve been a different outcome.
And I do think he is an elite quarterback.
The guy throws a very soft catchable ball and is extremely accurate.

The guy plays every game. He is as tough as they come.

When I look at Goff I see a quarterback that is getting better each and every year.
He has tons of weapons and an elite OL. His numbers aren't much different than some of his years with the Rams. He is a good qb but I don't think he is elite. Most nfl qbs would do fine with his surrounding talen on offense.
@@Midmomonsta1 Yes most Qbs can do well in that offense. A case like Jimmy G on the 49ers, but Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford are Qbs that can elevate a stacked team. There is a reason why they are called Gunslingers.
Thier accuracy is valuable because it's one of the ways a pass catcher (Wr, Te, sometimes Rb) can be developed. Look at Lamar Jackson he is so inconsistent with any throw besides a deep down the middle throw and he had both a stacked offense and defense. Jared has better decision making than Josh Allen, So I don't get why people are downplaying him. I think he's at least matured into a great Qb.

Goff has a ceiling. While he had a nice season last season we all remember his last season with our team. It sucked. Stupid turnovers. Matthew came here with basically the same team and won it all. Also, they only beat us in the playoffs on a no call PI. We may meet them in the playoffs this year. I hope so.
Stafford is more versatile but to say Goff had the same team is false that team was injured all along the oline that year and Goff was hurt.

The Rams paid their due for whatever "alleged" mistreatment of Goff that resulted in all those revenge sentiment last season. It's done and the Rams don't owe Goff or the Lions anything anymore after that intentional injury they placed on poor Higbee that probably costs Higbee his career. Whatever the Lions do is none of our business. I hope they get penalized a lot this season for the dirty plays they adopted.

Stafford is passed his prime. His numbers last year were okay. Do not extend him, or give him more money. He is getting paid more than what he is worth for his age. It's getting close, to start looking for his replacement. I do thank him for getting us over the hump. And winning a Chip. His numbers were excellent that year
You’re clueless Stafford is not past his prime, he was injured in 2022 and it effected the way he played, he was still recovering from injuries early in 2023 and last year by mid-season the Rams offensive line improved alot and Kyren became a great RB which helped out Stafford having a running game, Stafford played great the last 7 games of the season

Travis is the ultimate HATER. Goff is an outstanding QB, he just took longer to develop than we needed. Stafford is Elite but Travis will never admit to that. "Tragic Codgers" you are the most negative "Fan" ever...
Let me say this. Goff beat Stafford in the playoffs. He almost beat the Rams in L.A. the last regular season game. Goff is not injury prone like Stafford. Goff at his best has had several double digit win seasons. Goff has won more playoff games than Stafford. Goff is younger than Stafford. Throw in Mrs. STAFFORD'S constant interference with the franchise. Throw in Garapollo almost beating Stafford. Stafford is 36. The franchise has to be very careful and smart. The Rams should make Staffords contract an incentive based with more guaranteed money. Snead can not fumble this.

Matthew got a 💍in his first year with the🐏 Mcvay & Donald took Goff to the SB where he choked and only thing to show for it was 3 points, which was thanks to the kicker not him. Goff fans are living off of dreams and fantasy while Stafford fans with reality and results.

These qb contracts are out of control , jarad Goff isn't worth 50 + million dollars a year, neither are the majority of qb's in the nfl .. This is greed plain and simple .. Like Dakk prescott who can't get extended in Dallas because Jerry Jones refuses to pay him 50 million + a yr and I don't blame him.. I love my cowboys but Dakk Prescotts Greed and Jerry Jones idiotic approach to the salary cap have taken the cowboys completely out of the super bowl conversation .. Now it looks as if all the top qb's sre going to handicap their team to the point that they get a full 25 % of the salary capnmoney each yr , teams can't compete for championships with one player taking such a massive slice of the pie , there's 52 other players that need competitive pay in order to stay with a particular team. Something needs to happen to keep these qb contracts from growing so massive , the market for qb's is a bubble that badly needs to burst or the NFL is going to find it's self with lower quality games ,lower scores and a lack of fan enthusiasm
