You've really grown on me, like those 3DTs have grown on you! Another great review and very honest and entertaining as usual. I've also got the 3DTs and love them. You're right, the stage, resolution and detail retrieval is remarkable. Everytime I switch back to them after listening to an IEM with more bas response, they feel a little "bass light" but after a few minutes with them my brain adjusts and that perception disappears. They are stunning. With all my silicone tips I get driver flex, so I've been using the Tennmak Strong Foam with them. The Tennmaks are a dense silicone foam, are very comfortable, isolate well, don't muddy the bass or clip the highs and NO DRIVER FLEX. Unlike Complies, they don't rip or tear amd last forever.... $7 for 6 pair on Ali and a great pairing with the 3DT. Thank again for another great review!
Ooooh, that is a really good tip, using foam tips rather than silicone to avoid driver flex! I need to check those out, always wanted something that doesn't consume itself like Comply does. Really happy that my content is to your likin too!!
@@AudiophileHeaven I've recommended those Tennmaks on several headfi threads and have had many people PM to says thanks for the rec. I think you'll like them. Unlike any foam I've tried before.
Excellent review of an exceptional IEM.
Would be great if you could create a follow up about the filter mod and better cables, because it takes the 3DT to yet another level IMO.

Great review, however Im surprised at your comments on the soundstage. Other reviews I have read all commented that while their was good soundstage depth, the width was always described as narrow and intimate. What am I missing? Were you using different tips or upgraded cable to achieve those results? If your assessment is correct, look forward to buying these IEM's. Appreciate any input you can provide
Hiii, I have seen that for Unique Melody IEMs in particular there are some conflicting opinions. It may stem from the fact that some people hear treble to improve soundstage (as with HD800S), and 3DT has quite a bit of treble, creating a very holographic kind of presentation. I also think that the difference in opinion may come from people using a cheaper source

This mini 3DT is actually really good, especiall with the soundstage. At that price range, about 500 USD, there's nothing better I can recommend right now for a really wide and engaging sound ☺️
This IEM deserves more attention. With a filter mod (Moondrop Starfield / KXXS filters with 50-70% coverage of the grill) and a new cable they surpass IEMs 3-4x its price.
Don't overlook this one if you want incredible bass texture and expressive midrange!

And i dont use EQ :( And say hi to your daughter ;) Hmm, is this better than vs ie900? But that cost all must 3 times more than this hmm, I love huge soundstage! Keep up the fire up!
I have Zeus from Harmonyc dyne, it is perfect for my ears. Haru is actually my gf, she's about the same age as me XD
I never used EQ for Zeus either. I have not heard the ie900 yet sadly, but UM 3DT has better soundstage than the older ie800 for sure.

I got so much tinnitus both sides that i just cant listen to music with those but they are superb in gaming (FPS) thanks for the Zeus soundstage and imagine cabapilities. I have been trying to tame it with bursons amp and MA mini-i pro3 without success. I should buy the Feliks Audio Echo Mark II or Darkvoice 336SE not only for Zeus but many others aswell. Im intrigued to test those UM 3DT for sure but not in this month i have bought too many audio related stuff that my family start to hate me haha :D
Do you think we can use a DDHiFi DJ44B Mark 2 adapter with a E1DA PowerDAC v2.1 to connect the 4.4 mm balanced cable of a Sony IER-Z1R IEM to the E1DA PowerDAC v2.1?.

They are worth saving for. They have a mid tier price with upper tier performance. They'll be current and relevant for years. Instead of. Buying a. $100 pair. Save Save save and watch eBay and the Headfi Classifieds

@@AudiophileHeaven I've paid half price for them, what I can hear is that they are really picky about music source and amp. Little bear B4-X amp with burson opamps installed, it can change headphones from good to really good :) even HD600 300ohms thats not a problem for it

Better than FiiO FA9?
It is considerably wider and more holographic. FA9 is thicker, more natural and smoother sound. 3DT more engaging. I would go FA9 for a typical, but well done sound, and go 3DT for a wider, more holographic and sparkly sound

Luna viitoare fac comanda la UM MEST MARK2 de pe site-ul hifigo. com si sunt foarte emotionat de pe acum știind ca pentru mine va fi END GAME. După ce le comand sper sa-mi ajungă pachetul cu bine și să nu am surprize, eu ma aflu în italia. Succes în continuare!

Acum lucrez la review, s-ar putea sa mai dureze putin... Sincer, mie chiar imi plac pana aici. Sunt usor printre cele mai bune din lume, si au atat sunet cat si comfort bun, nu au driver flex, si cablul e 10/10. Nu cred ca termin review-ul in 1 luna, dat fiind programul curent, dar ma straduiesc cat pot :)
Am perioade cu 1 review scris pe zi si 2-3 video pe saptamana, si cam acolo e limita fizica la cat pot posta. Am avut experiente bune cu HIFI GO, dar in Romania in vama iti mai cere un 20% din valoare ca taxe. Transportul in general a ajuns super ok. Pachetul e super bun la Mest MK II. Sper sa te bucuri cu bine de ele!!

@@jamzu6842 it tends to be sold around 50-60% on head to after years, which o would say is holding well compared to release price . They never make models that are short lived which is pretty cool.

FH7 is also easier to sell second hand so you can upgrade later on. It is still really wanted by everyone. There's also FD5 and FH5S which I'm reviewing soon 🍀
