September 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian destroyed most of our home's interior and much of our belongings. Jason, your videos gave me the confidence to start rebuilding since contractors were busy with other larger jobs, and the insurance paid nothing at all. My kitchen cabinets turned out remarkable! Thank you so much! Now I have done all the floors, drywall, painting, electrical and plumbing all myself. Keep the videos coming my friend. AT 72 years old - I can still learn new things.!
Congratulations on getting things done yourself. It’s so satisfying when you’re done with everything and you can look back at all the hard work you put in and feel proud of the outcome. Cheers!

I am not a woodworker at all, but I find these vids very relaxing to watch in this year of horrible news events coming every other day. And who knows, some of it might stick in my brain and pop out when I need it years from now.
You can’t leave us hanging!!! We NEEEED the cabinet doors. I want to see the fancy hinges that compliment your recommended “fancy adjustable drawer slides”. Your content is top notch.
Thanks! New woodworker here. Been doing ugly projects for years. Your videos have helped me to move into beautiful projects! The cabinet door clamps will change my life when they arrive! God Bless!
Did you see his video where he put plastic up to ceiling to paint the white shoe storage bench & called it the "Dexter Kill Room"? Hilarious. Check it out...
I like watching your videos. These three videos are great, and I subscribed after the first one. I like the way you narrate the videos too. Your whimsical demeanor makes for easy listening and learning. Great job! 👍
Thanks bro. Learning so much and having a good laugh 😂 please keep them coming. I just wish you have a patreon channel with the metric system instead of imperial. I have a conversion card because of you!
Thank you for sharing your skill. I’m an electrician for the past 34 years. But my true love is carpentry work. Thank you teaching and making it look so simple. ❤
Okay....I didn't want to be obvious....so I waited until the second video to subscribe. lol Man! U-duh-man! I've been putting off building a vanity for wife and now I'm on it. She already said she wants the inset draw faces. Thank you for the entertainment, the dry wit, the comedy and AN AWESOME VIDEO!!!
LoL. Well, I asked you about Dado stacks just a couple of days ago, and here in this video, I received a fully understandable demonstration of them. That's fan service! ;) I had actually seen other videos talk about them, but they were already installed, and the presenters were using stacks of wood as part of their sacrificial fence thus leading me to believe that those wood stacks, were Dado stacks. That's what I get for watching other videos... Great series! Thank you so much for your videos!
At 3:06 I do the same thing - more over HAVE to do the same thing - by rocking my rip fence lock lever a number of times to be sure it has lined up front to back and square to the blade. I thought I was the only one that had to do that because of my older Delta Unisaw rip fence is the original. Still love my Delta Unisaw. 😀
Thank you! New woodworker here. I've been fussing with drawer fronts for 4 days, endlessly tweaking, trying to get the fronts straight. Ordering the clamps now!
You need a video on inset doors! I like the simplicity of your videos, and no one else on UA-cam has one on inset doors… especially with a non mortise hinge 😃
I'm watching this series over and over so your top notch cabinet building skills get morphed into my brain. Really want to - at least - reface all my cabinets & drawers now.
Absolutely love your dry sense of humor!!!!! I also enjoy the excellent entertainment of your well-captured and edited videos. You've got it nailed down. You are photogenic, have an excellent voice for voice-overs, and really know woodworking. To top it off, you know how to engage the audience and combine all those traits into an excellent viodeo. Thanks, buddy!
I like this dude .. He got me through some sticky situations in my woodworking. Plus I love his intro... ( when he slides and fumbles in at the beginning of every episode.) ..
Jason, I just want you to know that by using your videos, I have made my first cabinet. Thanks for all your tips. It was a lot of work, but I've learnt so much! I'm about to install the drawer faces now.
I can appreciate your craftsmanship even more because you're willing to expose your occasional mistakes🔥 (imperfect cuts) as well as not deleting those clips of video.💯 Using a scrap piece of wood first is obviously years of experience.💯 I'm about to try and make my first cabinets, and hope to make you proud Master Yoda.🔥😂💯
Thank you for presenting this information. The use of a 1/2 inch panel so there is no void is such good solution. I am chagrined that I overly complicated my drawer fronts when your solution is so much more elegant. Thank you.
I watch the whole series, I'm going for it. I think I'm going to build some cabinets just for storage in the garage, then do the laundry Room. If those go well and I look like I know what I am doing then, I'm gonna party in the bathrooms! Thank you for the great information.
Great video. Don't make as many cabinets these days only because Millworks companies can do custom ones for less then I can buy the materials. On small jobs this was a great refresher.
Watched all three parts in this series. You explain everything so clearly. The videos were very helpful. I’m in the process of building cabinets for a van. Of course, this presents all sorts of other issues, but it’s great to have your guidance on the basic building techniques, Thanks for the help.
Hi, I'm a bit delayed but I just wanted to say I completely enjoyed the cabinet 3 part videos. was absolutely informative. love the vids! keep posting.
Excellent series on paint grade cabinets! I'd love to see you do a vid on how you treat the inside of the boxes (clear finish?, paint?), as well as your techniques for painting the doors
you can also use a piece of cardboard on all four sides to hold it in place. The cardboard will crunch under the pressure and hold it firmly with friction. All methods work great but i’ve found this one to really help me when installing inset doors/fronts. Especially if you have the fancy blum undermounts you can adjust if they don’t line up perfectly like in the video.
Great cabinet series! One possible tip I’m aware of thanks to Norm Abram and his New Yankee Workshop series. At 5:12, you mention the S and R marks on your boards help you keep the fit consistent in case your dado cuts are slightly off center. I remember Norm doing these cuts using a dado set up slightly narrower than the final desired width and setting the fence so that the cut ends up the right distance from the edge. Then, after passing it through once, he flips the board around and runs it through again. This way he always ends up with a dado that is the correct width, perfectly centered.
My wife and I love your videos. I really liked the boat build and the cabinet ones, so much we invested a lot in wood working tools. Yes, Green. My wife just bought a $400 china hutch and it is crap. I was hoping you might do a video of you building one about 6 ft to store cast iron in so I can try to copy it. I know it sounds silly but I'm trying to learn all of this. I want one with leaded glass doors and LED lights but feel I'm over my head. Thanks, your stuff is awsome!
I stumbled across your channel yesterday and have binged quite a few of your videos. My wife and I are buying a house soon (currently in a condo) and I have been trying to get into woodworking and your videos are fantastic! Love the way you're doing the doors, I am glad I came across this before I started working on the kitchen cabinet doors.
I have made cabinets with mortise and tenon frame construction, dado and rabbit carcass construction. This method with pocket screws certainly would be quicker, easier and almost as strong. Thanks for teaching an old dog a few tricks! I subscribed and liked!
I would love to be like you when I grow up. Thx for yet another great video. And yes, I did see the other videos first. 😎 I’m only in my forties, so I have lots of time to grow up.
Your videos are the best out here. I’m doing a similar project and was wondering about measuring for the styles and rails if you are factoring in the length of tenon and the 1/8 inch gap around the door before cutting their lengths.
You are not only a very good carpenter, you are patient. I get so pissed off when I don’t measure something right or the tool slips and I gouge the wood. But when I get it right, it’s so satisfying. Great down-to-earth series of videos - I picked up some tips. Video quality and content is excellent and the shop looks good. Sub’d
Came across your videos yesterday and they are brilliant you actually show how to make things with normal tools I’m in the joinery trade in the uk and enjoy these types of videos but most UA-cam vids are just action shots with stupid music nice work pal 👍

Excellent point
Check this video out by him:

Yes I wanna c the hinges handles and c it painted
He’s definitely using those Blum soft close snap on jobbies. I guarantee it.
Mr. Bourbon, I love the cabinets that I made with your videos. I now live in one of them with my thee cats, named Moth, Bourbon and Eric.
Seriously. The most entertaining and info packed content on UA-cam. And I will never ever built a vanity or cabinet.
I love the goofy little things you toss in to make sure we ware still listening. Great videos. Thank you.
Thanks! New woodworker here. Been doing ugly projects for years. Your videos have helped me to move into beautiful projects! The cabinet door clamps will change my life when they arrive! God Bless!
Now I need a paint tutorial. Awesome work as usual.
Did you see his video where he put plastic up to ceiling to paint the white shoe storage bench & called it the "Dexter Kill Room"? Hilarious. Check it out...
I just spent an hour watching all three vids back to back! The best use of my time in a long time!! Thank you
Same
I like watching your videos. These three videos are great, and I subscribed after the first one. I like the way you narrate the videos too. Your whimsical demeanor makes for easy listening and learning. Great job! 👍
I've just done exactly the same after the first part. Now going to go through his channel and see what other videos i can watch.
This video has been hugely helpful for me in building out my first attempt at shaker fronts, really appreciate it!
You are not only funny, but are very talented. Great videos
Thanks bro. Learning so much and having a good laugh 😂 please keep them coming. I just wish you have a patreon channel with the metric system instead of imperial. I have a conversion card because of you!
Thanks! The insert trick for the 1/2” panel was extremely helpful.
This completes another one of those "I can do that!" video series. Thanks.
more like "I can't do that!" because I don't own a full wood shop.
Thank you for sharing your skill. I’m an electrician for the past 34 years. But my true love is carpentry work. Thank you teaching and making it look so simple. ❤
This guy's hilarious which makes it fun to watch and easier to actually remember 😂and obviously is very knowledgeable on the subject, thank you!

Awesome vids! You need to do a video on installing these; shimming and securing, putting the top on them and securing.
1700's industrial table saw.???
You are the only site that I am subscribed to.
My Man, so glad you've done all this work to help us learn. Merci from Wasaga Beach, Ontario

I'm using this video to build cabinets next month. I watch your videos almost as much for entertainment as I do for education.
There are loads of people doing woodwork videos on youtube, but none of them have your sens of humour! I love your videos!
You need a video on inset doors! I like the simplicity of your videos, and no one else on UA-cam has one on inset doors… especially with a non mortise hinge 😃
The Ryan Stiles reference 😂 love your videos!
Thank you for showing/teaching how to build cabinets, you are one bad ass carpenter/builder!!! Thank you and God bless
Rewatching on Dads Day. Bourbon Moth is still the wood GOAT. Love these videos....
Wow, after seeing those inset drawer fronts that is the only way to go. That makes for a damn nice looking cabinet.
I'm watching this series over and over so your top notch cabinet building skills get morphed into my brain. Really want to - at least - reface all my cabinets & drawers now.
I want to thank you for your instructions on building cabinets. I followed your steps and my shop cabinets are turning out wonderfully. Thanks again
Absolutely love your dry sense of humor!!!!! I also enjoy the excellent entertainment of your well-captured and edited videos. You've got it nailed down. The flat insert trick is genius.
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Excellent series, thanks so much.
I dont often find myself jealous of another man's equipment..... yet here I am, feeling inadequate
By far my favorite series.
ive never seen shaker style without a router table which i dont have so thank you for this!
'Drum sander just collecting dust'. I see what you did there... Great video series.
TRULY THE BEST SERIES ON ALL UA-cam! AGAIN, YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER!
TOM BYRNE
I watch the whole series, I'm going for it. I think I'm going to build some cabinets just for storage in the garage, then do the laundry Room. If those go well and I look like I know what I am doing then, I'm gonna party in the bathrooms! Thank you for the great information.
I love your sense of humor!!! Keep 'em comin'!!
Great video. Don't make as many cabinets these days only because Millworks companies can do custom ones for less then I can buy the materials. On small jobs this was a great refresher.
I watched all three, and they do really better than others I've seen. Your are good in explaining the way and whys too.
This guy is a great TEACHER .
Loved the Ryan Stiles reference, haha. Also your style 👍 Learned a lot, thanks for your effort.
Watched all three parts in this series. You explain everything so clearly. The videos were very helpful. I’m in the process of building cabinets for a van. Of course, this presents all sorts of other issues, but it’s great to have your guidance on the basic building techniques, Thanks for the help.
Thank you for being so detailed. I’ve been looking for this level of detail so I get it right.
OK You seriously remind me of Bob Ross with the way you speak/teach...Excellent work and thanks for the awesome channel!
Dude! Great videos, we're building off grid in Hawai'i and appreciate all you share!
man, i really love how those inset drawers look.
OMG now I want to rip out all my cabinetry and build my own!!!
heads up, build them before you tear the old ones out... i didn't have a cabinet for 3 weeks, including my sink lmao work got in the way
@@AppSkii Ha Ha so true!!!
Love your sense of humour
Hi, I'm a bit delayed but I just wanted to say I completely enjoyed the cabinet 3 part videos. was absolutely informative. love the vids! keep posting.
I like your style of working I'm a beginner and i learn a lot from you thank you
Jason, excellent series. I built a kitchen island with your methods! Am now a Patreon member to say thanks!’
I super appreciate your videos. You are very good with your directions.
Excellent series on paint grade cabinets! I'd love to see you do a vid on how you treat the inside of the boxes (clear finish?, paint?), as well as your techniques for painting the doors
Yes, I too would like an episode about finishing cabinets, specifically your painting techniques. Will you be doing a video on painting soon?
I had been trying to think of a way to shim inset drawer fronts consistently. The playing card trick is genius!
you can also use a piece of cardboard on all four sides to hold it in place. The cardboard will crunch under the pressure and hold it firmly with friction. All methods work great but i’ve found this one to really help me when installing inset doors/fronts. Especially if you have the fancy blum undermounts you can adjust if they don’t line up perfectly like in the video.
Most of it is over my head since I don’t have all the shop stuff but I enjoyed the whole series. Gets my gears turning. Well done!
This is a three part video that I willbe using when I redo my kitchen 👍🇬🇧
Can’t believe that after watching many videos, I just remembered to subscribe 😁. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your expertise with us.

Those inset drawer faces are slick! 😎😎
As always, your videos are educational and highly entertaining.
My wife and I love your videos. I really liked the boat build and the cabinet ones, so much we invested a lot in wood working tools. Yes, Green. My wife just bought a $400 china hutch and it is crap. This was a lot of fun to watch you make and install the faces. Good job. Thanks.
I really like your videos. I think you explain things very well, especially for someone who doesn’t know. Thanks.
Great video . Always wondered about those Rockler drawer installers. Might get them .
You are wonderful. It is so much fun watching them. Thanks.
I stumbled across your channel yesterday and have binged quite a few of your videos. Love the way you're doing the doors, I am glad I came across this before I started working on the kitchen cabinet doors.
Check out insider carpentry and finish carpentry tv and essential craftsman... Also Jimmy Diresta has "tips" videos that are very good
I just love how easy going and playful you are about woodworking! It makes me want to build stuff, myself!
I have made cabinets with mortise and tenon frame construction, dado and rabbit carcass construction. This method with pocket screws certainly would be quicker, easier and almost as strong. Thanks for teaching an old dog a few tricks! I subscribed and liked!
I watch all 3 of your video they were great
Just watched all 3 videos and have to say that you make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 👍👍👍
Nice job and great looking shop.
very nice thanks for the videos watched all 3 getting ready to build a small cabinet for my houseboat I'm building.
I would love to be like you when I grow up.
Thx for yet another great video.
And yes, I did see the other videos first. 😎
I’m only in my forties, so I have lots of time to grow up.
Well narrated, def learned a ton! Love the dry humor!
Your videos are the best out here. I’m doing a similar project and was wondering about measuring for the styles and rails if you are factoring in the length of tenon and the 1/8 inch gap around the door before cutting their lengths.
I've been searching for cabinets... now I want to build my own! Loved the series.
Thank you soon much...
I subbed years ago, always love your content.
Sub’d
Loved this series, I have learned that this is something I shouldn't attempt myself. 😂
This series is super rad and helpful! Would be cool to have a video showing how to make various drawer face styles
Great series! I’m currently building a new bathroom vanity with inset drawers and this has been invaluable. 👍
With you bro. Fav. woodworking channel right here.
Nice work Jason. Great presentation on all three videos... you earned a new subscriber. Thanks
Enjoy the build videos thanks for sharing have a blessed day
You are a GREAT teacher! You missed your calling!! Wish I had you for high school wood shop....
These videos are so great and helpful. I must admit I coveted your roomy shop and your table saw set-up the whole time. Thank you very much!
Wish I would have seen those slides back in April. Sooo much nicer and cleaner than ball bearing side mounts!
muy buenos los tres viedos, felicitaciones, oscar de argentina te saluda . hasta pronto.
Excellent video series.
Love your videos, I'm about to watch you entire channel ^^
Building a cabinet now for my garage. Starting small then setting up a miter station
Came across your videos yesterday and they are brilliant you actually show how to make things with normal tools I’m in the joinery trade in the uk and enjoy these types of videos but most UA-cam vids are just action shots with stupid music nice work pal 👍
