I can’t believe this is the only review of the best Binos in the world… WTF Sig???
I watched Cliff Grey review these before elk season. I ordered them that day. Excellent product, the image stabilization is amazing. Picking out antler points at distance is much easier.
Glad you like them!
I got mine 20x Zulu6 in July when they first came out. THEY ARE AMAZING! Best binoculars in the world!
Have you compared it to the Canon image stabilization binoculars I think you might have to change your mind the only thing that goes against the canon is their weight
@@victoralexander848 yes i have compared it to canons best offering and the previous generation.... it blows them all away
@@victoralexander848 right can someone do a direct comparison to the top 3 or so. i see the canon has a threaded hole to put on a tripod. i would like the idea if not for anything it not have to hold from time to time.
@@timbjork2098 For astronomy the Canon can also be tripod mounted and has field flatter lens in the eyepieces and UD objective lens on the 15/18 x50 models (ultra low dispersion glass) so if the batteries pack up you can mount it on the tripod I love my canon's besides they have been around for almost four decades, Now that's what I call longevity,I agree they are more suited for astronomy
I have the 20s and they are amazing
Great review - great Binos! Just ordered a pair. These are a real game changer and the price isn’t absurd for what you’re getting. Technically I think Canon came out with a stabilized pair before Sig but they are at least $450 more.
I borrowed my brother's 16X. I was definitely impressed. They are super clear, light weight and enjoyable to glass with. A big win and the price isn't way out of hand for what you get.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
How much of an issue is low light performance on these? The objective lenses are small for the given magnification so it seems like there could be some loss there.
Great question@tkeefe0601. Because of the small objective, they don't gather as much light as other models. These binos do great until the last few minutes of shooting light. You'll have to weigh the cost- benefit analysis of their killer Stabilizing feature vs. Better Low light performance in other binos.
How do these compare to the Nikon Stabileyes 14x40VR I've been using for 2 decades?
We're aren't familiar with the Nikon Stabileyes...sorry! We do know that the Sig's are lightweight and highly effective in the field, and have efficient battery life.
I don't own the Nikon's but I do know they are old technology and no longer in production or supported by Nikon. One major difference I can see right off the bat is that the Nikons use 4 AA batteries and the Sig's use 1. The Sig battery will last, from the reviews I've seen, about a year on that 1 battery. I have a pair of the 12x42 and upgrading to the 20x42 (order placed today). I can verify that the glass on the Sig is spot on with color and edge to edge clarity. The two modes they talk about in this video work AMAZINGLY well. The reason I'm upgrading is because those modes are implemented so well that there is no reason at all to not go big with these and get the x16 or x20.
Another bonus is these are on sale from Sig for less than most retailers are charging.
20x Zulu6 have the best stabilization in the world. Most amazing binos in the world. That’s how they compare, there is no competition.
Update: I ended up selling my old Nikon 14x40 to a collector, and tried both the Sig Zulu6 and Kite, after hours of comparisons I got myself the Kite 18x50 because they seemed (at least to my old man eyes) way better than the Sig Zulus both optically and stabilization wise.
Love it! What power are you guys running on your chest?
We've been running the 16x and now that they have the 20x, we will be using them a LOT! On many hunts this will remove the need for a spotting scope and save a lot of weight in the backpack.
@@EastmansHuntingJournals Thanks for the response. So 16 and 20x on your chest?! Thats wild! You're able to hold them steady enough? Is the smaller FOV an issue?
@@Adam_BileckyjI’ve been wondering the same. I want these so bad
@Adam_Bileckyj these are image Stabilizing binoculars and there's no need for a tripod... they are unbelievable when you turn the Stabilizing feature on! 👍
Hi,
Did you have a chance to compare 16 and 20 in day and low light, in sunny or cloudy conditions?
Any big difference? Which one would you recommend for all around use and why?
I want to buy 20 for more zoom, but not sure about low light performance, and a smaller field of view.
Did anyone see any notisable stabilization difference?
I had regular/non HDX 16x42 before and liked it, but the quality of glass was soso in comparison with canon L10x42 and Fujinon TSX1440. Now with HDX glass I hear a lot of positive feedback.
Please help to decide!
Any other going with 20x42 vs 16x42 opinion/advice would is highly appreciated!
Thanks a lot!@@EastmansHuntingJournals
Those are cool, but I'll stick with my Swarovski NL pure with a tripod
How does the optical quality compare to the vortex razor hd?
Ever since sig upgraded to the HD glass, the image stabilizing binoculars have gotten much, much better. You will notice a bit of a difference at extreme low light in the last couple of minutes of shooting light when hunting, depending on cloud cover and canopy cover, to where a standard pair of binoculars will edge out the image stabilizing binoculars. However, the upgrade to HD glass in the newest versions of these image stabilizing binoculars have made them exponentially better than their predecessors
Can you evaluate the model with a magnification of 20

@@lodeys The current HDX lenses should be able to compete with the Canon Red Circle model, right
@@user-bs5yh5vd1h Thank you for reply! I have no doubt about the quality of HDX glass.
However, I am just curious about the low light performance difference between 16 and 20. I assume both binos objective lenses are the same size.
Would you consider 20 better for overall use like burnюbing, hunting and astronomy?
I noticed that 16 HDX models on SS website are sold out, and 20s are available and I wonder why.
What size are you reviewing?
Both the 16x and the 20x were shown in this review. Our staff uses the 20x or 16x the most. x There isn't a size difference so it comes down to personal preference. The 16x are just a bit clearer than the 20x, but not much. Thanks @brianguest238...We appreciate the feedback!
Why doesn’t it have tri pod adaption capability
This technology is built so that you don't need a tripod 👍
I had youth weatherby shotgun for my kid…I got tired of picking shells out of the action…I traded it for a canoe….made in turkey, it was a turkey. I still have the the canoe..
Is this a poem?
@@SkadooshonThank you. I actually laughed out loud
