As someone in lawncare and landscaping for 20+ years....you could literally do all this yourself and not pay franchise fees. This kid is smart and professional. But....again you could do this yourself
The franchise provides a lot of value tho. You have to check out Mike Andes channel to see what they do. They handle all the estimates and customer service for the franchise’s

If you're just one guy, your benefit from this will be limited. You're paying a lot for something that could be accomplished with flyers. Only so much time in a day.
I agree with you. You already have the government in your pocket. As far as customer service On a corporate franchise level. They have the model customers always right. As a person also living in Washington, what do these guys do during the 80% of the year when it's rainy? I want to start a business but the rain is giving me questions.
@Superior Landscape Group LLC Thanks for the info my friend! We are into our second month now, the rain is not stopping this "summer" so we have just figured it out lol. Luckily in Washington we don't typically get snow all that much and when we do it's for a day or two.

Random question but I was curious to know how much lawn mowing typically costs because my building is making some claims that just make no sense and we only have 2 small yards with just grass and no additional things to care for and it just isn’t making sense
It would be interesting to hear more about how he pays people. So there is a base rate for the day and then its 33% of labor. Does this mean he has an overhead percentage calculated that he applies across the board?
Employee pay will vary widely across location and industry. Hopefully we can dive into this business topic for you in future videos Jeffery. Consider it on the "to do" list for business video content!
So im finding this really hard to believe that he is at 15k for that month. If you work all 30 days in the month he would be making 500$ a day. Can someone who does landscaping and mowing enlighten me on what the rate is going for a weekly or bi weekly maintenance program... What kind of volume would you need to sustain and achieve that number?
HOLDDDD up the guy just said that he averages weekly 5-700... I wish they were straight forward with their videos and answers and actually made them prove some numbers. I dislike @upflip now...
He's making that from reoccuring mows which were 30-70 per cut and took up 1-2 days. You make a lot more on projects that take up the rest of the week. Like installing the garden bed.@@89Johneboy
How you pay yourself will depend a lot on your own personal situation. A lot of people form a corporation and then pay themselves through the corporation. Always smart to talk with an experienced account as what is best for you.
Your right. It’s actually harder than starting from scratch in the beginning because the franchise has to make it’s money. As time goes on things will get better.
You keep asking him questions when he should be working. That rental will turn into a full day instead of possible half day. Why not q and a in the truck?
14:45. Dude cut the grass way too deep, putting 10 times the word on yourself spray it with glystar, come back three days later and cut the sod just below the roots.
Your lucky dude, no way can I leave my kit on the back of a truck in the Uk dude, it would go walkabout in minutes...... everything needs to be locked away and out of site

If you don’t have a blower use a hand broom and go side to side
It's always a balance between manual and machine labor.
So being a part of a franchise does he find his own jobs or does the franchise give him the work to do?
He has to go find the jobs, the franchise does all the work from there, the calls and client management.
In that case, a franchise isn't worth it.
The hard part is finding customers and the work itself. The rest is easy.
