In This version of Initial D there are 3 different engine upgrades for this 86 model. The High rev engine has a really high learning curve and I was focusing on my turns and braking when I filmed this video instead of shift times and rpm management.
@@webweaver13s does it really gets this hard ? I beated arcade stage ver 3 and it isn't nearly as difficult even with the upgrades. I haven't played anything above that so I'm just asking cause I'm curious.
@@unlimitedquickworks7387 So the driving mechanics are much cleaner in arcade stage 3. In this version its like drifting on a slip and slide with ice on it. You just kind of whip around way more than you should. Its not bad it just feels way off. Depending on where you are in your story progress the opponents get harder as well. So if I understand it correctly each time you beat all the opponents you play the story again and it ups the difficulty each time you do this.
@@webweaver13s then the difficulty is just like the Bunta challenge. But I don't see how rpm management becomes a problem with the slippery streets, unless they finally made it more realistic. In ver 3 it doesn't matter where you are in the rev counter, the only ways to slip harder are downshift, deacceleration or braking.
@@unlimitedquickworks7387 3 had a differant system and was a lot better. Depending on the car shifting into 5th in this game slows you down so you just ping the revs at max on 4th to go faster. 3rd stage is a muuuuccchhhh better game
Have you tried beating the game for 5 to 10 times? I dunno if this is implemented to Extreme Stage but in IDAS4 when you beat the game your rival will go much faster
I think you're misinterpreting something. When you hit a wall you get an acceleration penalty, that's probably why you feel like the AI goes faster, but it's you getting slower.
Yeah I feel like you are onto something. My plan was to try him again on the next dificulty but my ps3 died a few weeks sfter recording this and never got around to it.
Only reason he lost because he was high. The old man was faded as hell. "Heeeehhhhh" Ehhh" ehhhhhh"
it's probably because he didn't smoke his ciggie

Is so satisfying seing Takumi defeating his father.
Kinda for the ae86 to have a better launch than the imprezza lol
Damn if he drives and drift in real life he would broke his engine because of overrev

Using cervo sr suzuki ?
in initial d game for some reason if u dont hit the wall after turning, the AI exits corners slow

It's not very realistic game, cause Bunta would be unbeatable IRL
