    "G'day" Clark all the way from Sydney, Australia 😎
    Great videos mate, they are a brilliant reference resource. You are clearly a bloody champ at what you do!
    (Btw sorry, I'll try to not let this turn into a novel lol!)
    I own a not-half-bad 2013 turbo diesel MN Triton (black, so even if a fly lands on it and leaves footprints they are visible lol).
    Anyway the other day, like a dickhead, i reversed into one of the underground fuel tank vent pipes and made a nice vertical dent in my tailgate, very similar to the damage featured in this video except mine has a pretty decent crease. Quick question, when preparing the panel, I've been using an electric heat gun and warming it up to 75⁰c (which according to Google is the ideal temp for pdr?), but i see you always using a go-gas torch. In the videos you show it as just a quick 1-second pass over the panel with the torch, but how long do you actually 77ĺl

    • @DentDiscountPDRBodyShop
      @DentDiscountPDRBodyShop  3 роки тому

      Thank you for your comment.. if I were you I would go ahead and stick with the heat gun it’s a lot safer
      If you do try a torch practice on A old beat up panel
      I use heat to remove the moisture
      The glue I use in my area in California I pull the tab around 85°
      Hopefully that helps you out

    How did you fix the paint that was missing?

    • @MrNside
      @MrNside 3 роки тому

      Looks like the cracks in the paint were still there, but they closed up a bit after the panel was returned to its original shape. They will likely need to be sanded back and touched up to prevent corrosion.
