  • My first painting with a wagner Flexio 990 .. I used an acrylic facade paint, diluted 7%. The paint manufacturer recommends diluting 5-10% for painting with a roller.
    My 2nd project is finished
    • Wagner flexio 990 my 2...
    5 stars for Wagner

    Only thing I recommend is to use flow troll and not water in usa flotroll may have different name as flotrol slows the drying time down and provides an even finish especially in summer months when it's real hot flotrol recommends 10 /15 percent to put in the paint I think that's to much as this amount will change the color slightly I recommend that 5 percent of flotrol is enough so on 10l of paint 0.5l of flotrol is plenty then the gun will not clog up and also flotrol extends the m2 rate when painting

    How difficult is it to clean.
    I can never clean mine right
    After a while of non use it will be clogged to the point to where I can only throw it away.
    I am currently roller painting my home now. It is proving to be a real task. Spent two hours scraping all the layers of paint off

      The inside of the gun and the hose is easy to clean if it does not dry up. The outside is difficult because the color is dry and waterproof. Cleaning the interior color is easy.

      I learned to take mine completely apart. I run hot water through it. After every use. I have had it for over a year and I've painted about 3 houses completes in and out plus minor things here and there. One thing is for sure . You gotta clean it good.

      @@ghostdriver740 hi Erin. I haven't used it in any interior walls as the set up of plastic wasnt worth it to me. Also you use more paint than a roller. I did use it on the outside of my house and it did a great job. You have to make sure to clean it after every use very well. That takes about 45m. You also have to keep it pretty full as to not get a weird spray

    Don't be fooled: Wagners are PURE GARBAGE. While an experienced painter can get a decent finish on textured walls, it will take 2 to 3 coats because the paint has to be thinned ~ add to that time spent masking and taping and you'd be done faster & easier with a roller and cut brush.

    • @davidfagerberg9283
      @davidfagerberg9283 5 років тому +1

      The paint can be sprayed without being thinned on the wagner flexio-lineup.

    • @johng9562
      @johng9562 5 років тому

      The flexio is an HVLP gun so thicker paints like latex and primers must be thinned ~ even Wagner admits it.

    • @davidfagerberg9283
      @davidfagerberg9283 5 років тому +1

      Well, then I have to have a special edition spray gun (wagner flexio 890) because I dont have to thin out latex paints and primers.. (there are of course exceptions but don't buy the thickest paints and primers) Which Wagner flexio do you own? Because no one can make that claim without having used it for a longer time..

    • @johng9562
      @johng9562 5 років тому

      If you refuse to believe me, believe Wagner ~ this is a cut and paste from the Home Depot review section. "Response from Wagner Spray TechDecember 28, 2015: I'm sorry to hear that you experienced issues with your Flexio 890. I'm curious as to which front end assembly you were using, as the Detail Finish front end will be ideal for that type of work. The larger iSpray front end will produce a roller-like finish. Depending on the material, it may need to be thinned to atomize properly through the smaller Detail nozzle, or a poor spray pattern will result. Depending on the dry time of the material, a paint conditioner may need to be added if it is beginning to try before it can level out. "
