Thank you, I installed my thermostat last year identically how I took it out, but whoever put that one in did it wrong too, I bought a new thermostat with a lifetime warranty and I'm going to go install it correctly right now. Thanks again for your help 👍
Great video, true to life ,,, especially when he says " never do this" and Shazzam , he throws the part on the shop floor. Boss move. I gave it a try and I can do it too.
Video is out of focus, but good enough to discern what you're showing. That motor is beautiful, BTW. I love the rocker arms. You'll love the way they run at high RPM.
I once installed a thermostat backwards. Even after I found and corrected the mistake. It was too late, the motor was overheated, and dropped a valve, a short time later. Hard lesson learned!
U should include, find where the recess is for thermostat, can be in the intake or goose neck on fords. If u don't install thermostat in the recess when u bolt it down u can crack intake or goose neck. Seen this a lot on fords and chevys. If your after market intake doesn't have a recess than u you have to use a goose neck with recess on fords.
Man if you could explain just that on a video, I'd be a grateful happy camper. Just like in the video my thermostat was bassackwards and im replacing it and the water pump. This is a 223 i6 ford engine
(Butterfingers not required) I replaced my thermostat about 6 months ago and now my car runs real cold I figure it might be a bad thermostat or something else is going on.
What the fuck am i the only one havin an issue with the port side bolt maxing out in the timing case (orwhatever housein is in front that the water pump mounts on)?
I like you straight to the point. No clown comedian and long talk. Thanks for that.

Thanx a lot. I probably installed my thrstat incorrect way. It helped me so much.
I laughed so hard when you dropped it, I totally thought you were joking at first
Awesome! Good warning that those thermodohickies are slippery lol! I will be installing mine tonight
Just took my girls truck apart after it was overheating . Sure as shit t stay was backwards !!!! Thank you so much
Just what I needed. I'm not as dumb as I look. Thanks!
Do you install the gasket first then the thermostat or vice versa
so the spring side goes in the motor. a little long winded
VERY HELPFUL, THANKS FOR SHOWING.
What about with a reverse flow water pump Do you install the thermostat the same
Great vid. Do you know where 1978 ford f100 temperature sensor connector is located going into the firewall?
Thanks So much. You have a great day!
Thanks
What about having a reverse flow water pump 🤔
Point towards radiator👍smoke pot.......
thanks man good video
Legend
Great video.. Thanks Much!
Short side to radiator
Thank you
So the easy way to remember is the spring side always goes in to the engine block.

What's that hole on top of the outlet?
Hose bridges to the water pump

I can barely install mine with two hands, and he just drop kicks it on with one :)
