Since you could only have used a weapon that can be covered in poison, I’d have used a simple bow and training or iron arrows for ranged. The bow being a basic bow won’t add damage and the arrows being training arrows have almost zero damage making the poison do all the heavy lifting. Iron arrows would be easier to obtain and stop being useful after a few levels anyways so the poison will do the work their too. Great video tho, makes me want to try this run next.
There are practice arrows you can find at Angi's cabin but it is a bit of a travel to get there and you would have to wait periods of time for them to respawn too.
You can pick pocket poisons onto people too and it kills them. I believe with the new anniversary version you can make poisoned apples now too. The dark brother hood quests are good for going the direction of poison as well because you get an alchemy ring I believe from one of the quests with the chick from markarth. There are some quests you can do that will have tons of ingredients you can collect that are typically harder to find. Like the dawnstar quest with Erandur. The college of winterhold is a great place to find free ingredients and soul gems. And if you do quests for the alchemy shop keeps then you can take their ingredients without having to pay for them as well. Any quests with falmers are great for collecting ingredients too because the falmer love collecting alchemy ingredients. Any quests involving rogue mages or necromancers will have alchemy ingredients too. The forsworn quests are a great way to find alchemy ingredients too. On the way to Ivarstead from Helgen there is not only the alchemists shack but a cave with a bear outside it. There are tons of bee hives around there and canis root and even trees that have scaly folia. If you do the quest for Narfi he gives you a bunch of ingredients as well. Farms are a great place to find ingredients and the grey beards have tons of ingredients as well. The windhelm quest for the alchemist also gives you tons of ingredients. There are tons of alchemy ingredients that can be found in the Volkihar castle too. Morthal has tons of ingredients that you can collect while just walking around. So does white run. Plus the dawn guard keep has a bunch of ingredients in barrels and also if you recruit florentius he will have ingredients you can take for free. Bandit caves are a great place to find mushrooms. And falkreath when wandering the forests you can come across a bunch of fairy circles which are just circles of mushrooms. Plus if you simply collect what ever is infront of you when walking to places you would be surprised how quickly ingredients can stack up. There is Riften too with the barrels and also the fishery that you can collect from. I hope this helps people who are wanting to try an alchemy play through but don't know where to start. Most of my playthroughs alchemy is a huge part of it. Mainly for the money and healing potions and cure disease potions that I can make and not have to pay for lol. But anyways, alchemy becomes a lot easier if you know where to look for things. There is also that house in raven rock that you get as a reward for helping catch the assassins and it has a ton of ingredients too. Plus if you have anniversary there is the Khajits who sell alchemy ingredients too. Oh! And that Myr watch house has tons of ingredients.
You forgot the real reason this run needed the Brotherhood. Jarrin root. Just don't waste it on the Emperor, make it into a super poison, and take half of Alduin's health in a single hit with no exploits required.
Got one hell of a challenge for you. Can you beat Fallout 4 with the Prototype Railway Rifle? This weapon does the lowest damage in the game, and can only be got when entering the Railroad HQ and finding a man using what looks like a railway rifle of to the side by Tinker Tom.
Great video so far, simular to how I play. For a no skum way of levelling enchanting while keeping the weight light, I usually grab transmute and use it to turn a load of Iron into rings. They are an easy light mass producable item you can enchant and can usually be sold to any Magic dealer for more soulgems. There are other enchanting tips but not for a poison run.
@@InsaneFrame If you ever decide to do an enchanting equivilent to this run, make sure to check out the fiery soul trap Enchantment as its Fire damage is a set value, making it a great economical low charge cost enchantment if you set it at 1 sec for the soultrap. Also if you rush the Black Star, you can use said fiery soul trap weapon to steal a NPC soul, and instantly recharge the weapon every kill. As refilling a weapons charge gives EXP based off the soul size it can skyrocket your Enchanting fast. While refilling gives less than using for enchanting, if you can use them as fast as you can gather them, one run through a "Human" dungeon can net you 10 enchanting levels early no problem.
I thought for sure you would start the dark brotherhood quest line so you could the Jairin Root to get a couple instakills. In all a very fun challenge.

Poisons can be used without weapons via reverse pickpocket. You need the "Poisoned" -perk from pickpocket skill tree (skill level 40, min perk points needed 3).
If you are new to alchemy in skyrim remember these potions Blue mountain flower+hangingmoss+lavender (all of these ingredients can be found in white run and solitude. Go into the hall of the dead in solitude and there is something like 70 hanging moss in there don't worry about stealing it there aren't any consequences) Mora tap+fly ama+dragons tongue Pine moon cave for fly Mora tap is on the way to and all around Riverwood and you should have plenty of dragons tongue from white run and solitude. the kaljit merchants in dawnstar's inventory is in a invisable chest near the mine in the northern part of town it's between a couple rocks you'll have to crouch down to access it then you can refresh her inventory by hiting her and reloading the save it also resets her gold
The main question is " can you beat skyrim with just poison apples on legendary difficulty survival mode?" There's a legitimate way to get alchemy to level 100 in 1hr. Buy the falkreath house, make a garden plant mara templa/scailypila/creepcluster. Don't know if I'm late or not but imp stool canis Root and death bell makes a potion of paralysis that does at least 15 points of damage as well as paralysis if you put a few points into alchemy that becomes a poison that can carry you through most of the game

A tip for anyone who wants to enchant but has no soul gems, usually farengar sells a soul trap spell for about 400 gold. A tip for anyone who wants to enchant but has no soul gems, usually farengar sells a soul trap spell for about 400 gold. (Just cast the spell when your enemy has about an inch of health left) If you find yourself in need of soul gems you can mine them in blackreach. (The red nirnroot place) Not sure if they respawn often but it doesn't hurt to check every 5 in game days.
