Ben always still liked Devi. Aneesa could tell he still liked Devi and that’s why she broke up with him
oh yeah this wasn’t out of the blue for me I was just surprised because in the last couple episodes he seemed to really be moving on
I believe that Devi and Ben are similar in many ways. When her mother says that she will find the person who loves her the way she is, I feel that is very Ben, they grew up together, they have a lot in common and he always tried to support her in more fragile moments psychologically, like when now he lets her know the real ideas of her boyfriend's mother.
As Paxton evolves to understand and accept Devi. Ben has always done this.
Other than that you're right, he never got over her he was heartbroken that she didn't choose him when she could. And even when dating, he is always worried about her, interacting and caring in some way, even from afar.

Yea Ben has still liked/cared for Devi the entire time it’s just that he was trying to move on because he probably didn’t think Devi still liked him that way. I totally forgot about the one free boink until that last second!

Omg I love your reactions because we both watch so many of the same shows including this one and outer banks. If you had to pick between never have I ever and outer banks, what would you choose? What pissed me off the most about this season was the discarding of some plots and characters for very weak reasons. I loved Devi's development, Paxton's and I think they should follow this path more, I like Ben's personality, but somehow I don't feel that his growth is well explored over the seasons.
But definitely what makes me most unhappy is the constant placement of new characters that do not add anything to the series, like the emergence of a new romantic interest for Devi, as if she didn't already have enough. Now, in the next season, from what I saw, they will bring another new character and Paxton returns to the series even after graduating. Like, the series doesn't go, it goes around and around in circles.
And the only thing that keeps us present is the charisma of the characters.
I feel like Paxton is the love of her life and Ben is her soulmate

The producers and writers for season 4 they said that daxton has a chance to come back and the love triangle is far from over as well as basically devi sees Paxton as her equal now ! We still have a chance at endgame as well as they are bringing in a new love interest Ethan so he will be in it but in the end it is either going to be paxton or Ben
