The B17 that we have used in the past has been updated! We can now fly it around and drop bombs all over the place! Unfortunately though, the anti aircraft vehicles that are in the dlc are modern and not from ww2 so we got DESTROYED!

Custom Creative Mode

Career Survival mode

You will have to manage your finances, build space, and your own safety as you complete various missions to finance larger, more complex vehicles and new land bases.
Survival difficulty options
Survival difficulty options add an extra level of difficulty to your search and rescue operation with the most in depth and advanced game features including: advanced engine and fuel mechanics, LUA based micro controllers, vehicle damage, spreadable fire, and a variety of player damage types that can result in player deaths including:
fall / impact damage
fire damage
prolonged exposure to the sea resulting in hypothermia
mechanical damage (rotor blades)
water pressure damage
...and sharks!
Construct vehicles by placing blocks in a rich editing suite, customize them with your own design and program their behaviour using the powerful in-game logic system. Choose from a wide array of components to assemble your own rescue helicopters, boats, submersibles and more…
Take to the sea, land or sky in your newly created vehicle. Navigate through over 15,000 square kilometres of ocean and islands in an amazingly dynamic world. Players will need to ensure that they create the right vehicle for the job as every mission is unique.

Historically, the B-17 was equipped with a secondary flight system. When the pilot neared the target, he would flip a switch and control of the bomber would pass to the bombardier would could guide the aircraft over the target with a series of minute adjustments.
Frantic you should do a video with a bunch of people in this b17 and somebody in a fighter trying to shoot you down and the b17 has to fight back with the machine guns

Frantic, there's an option in the custom menu for infinite ammo, it will make the MGs work even without ammo attached

in ww2 they’re plenty of b-17 stories where they’re severely damaged and barely make it back home, for example The All American III had its rear fuselage nearly cut off by a collision with a bf-109

Loved the video @Frantic! I have a Mission that just might be perfect for the B-17E Flying Fortress! To whoever made this, try building the B-17G, which has the Chin mounted Twin 50 caliber machine guns, the B-24D Liberator and the B-25H and B-25J Mitchell Medium Bombers (The "H" model has the M3 75 millimeter gun that's also used on the M4 Sherman Tanks and the preceding M3 Lee's (M3 Grant's in British service) which is a 3 inch 40 Caliber gun. In plain English, the Barrel is going to be 120 inches long, which is just over 3 meters or 12 Blocks in Stormworks, so if you get to that part just use 2 Barrel extensions and you should be good. The "H" model also had 8 50 Caliber Machine guns in the nose as well as another 4 in cheek mounts, 2 on each side, and then a Dorsal/Top turret with Twin 50's, Left and Right Waist Gunners each with one 50 Caliber Machine gun and the Tail Gunner with another Twin 50's; *BUT WAIT… THERE'S MORE!* The "H" model also had up to 8 5-inch High Velocity Aircraft Rockets and, just like the rest of the Mitchell lineage, could carry up to 2,000 lbs of Bombs! The "J" Model, on the other hand, was just a simple Bomber variant. Basically, it's the "H" model but with a Bomber Nose with the Bombsight and a Nose Gunner Position instead. The Cheek guns and everything else stayed the same though.) *I AM SO SORRY FOR NERDING OUT LIKE THIS* On with the Mission Briefing!

Eisenhower (SHAEF, Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Forces) addressing troops of the 101st Airborne division prior to commencing Operation Overlord (Operation Neptune by the British), the Invasion of Nazi-Occupied France at Normandy, June 5th, 1944.
This is a big one Frantic! You, @Camodo Gaming, @Spycakes, @ Beautiful O.B., @Spanner_u and @Miss Charlottie are to each take a B-17 Bomber and Bomb the Chemical Factory. You will each take off, one at a time from Harrison Airbase, circle around at about 1,000 ft (307 meters) while forming up at 50-65% power. Once you've all formed up, increase throttle to full and climb to 16,000 Feet (4,923 meters) on heading 340 degrees. Once you're at Altitude, level out and maintain course and speed for about 5-10 Minutes (Because Stormworks, and the Creations speed) and then turn onto a heading of 270 degrees. Again, maintain Course and Speed until you see the Chemical Factory island in the distance off your Left Wing. You will then turn towards the target onto a heading of 225 degrees and proceed with the Bomb run. This will be the most crucial moment as you do not have any Fighter Escorts (Again, Stormworks, but this time Multiplayer) and you all will be the most vulnerable because you must remain on course until you drop your Bombs. You'll need to rely on your Combat Box Formation to help protect you against the Enemy AI Eurofighter Typhoons (Courtesy of Fellow Stormworks UA-camr @MrNJersey) as well as any other Aircraft that they might be using. Below will be the Combat Box Formation you all will be using to ensure a mutual defense against enemy Aircraft, as well as everyone's position in it.
You will be in the Lead, the Others will form up on you and will drop their Bombs when you drop your Bombs.
Camodo Gaming will be Above and Behind you.
Spycakes will be Below and to the Left of Camodo, below and Behind you.
Spanner will be Below and to the Right of You.
Miss Charlottie will be Above and to the Right of You, above and in front of Camodo.
And O.B. will be Below and to the Right of Camodo, near the very back of the formation, "Tail End Charlie" as the Bomber crews called it.
On the whole, you all should be in and area of 246 meters (800 feet) across, 51 meters (166 feet) deep, and 61 meters (200 feet) high, because it's only a third of what an actual Combat Box Formation has.
Hopefully this will work out reasonably well for you all, as I'm sure Spanner, Miss Charlottie, Spycakes and even Camodo probably haven't flown this creation before ever, and O.B. will probably end up getting shot down at some point, so yeah, Good luck and Godspeed to you all!

Hey frantic I don’t think the guns fired because they were in the water. On D-day marines couldn’t fire due to the water preventing flint and steel to spark. On the other part, good video!

I wish they gave the machine guns flexible belts that way you can hold more ammo and use them on aircraft because right now they take up too much space and are useless on planes because they only hold 50 rounds and can’t be reloaded on fighter planes where the guns are embedded into the wings
I hope they fix or add that later or add more ammo to the existing boxes because those little cans of .50 should really hold 100 rounds

I once made a fake story about a game just like sbr called stormworks build and destroy where I nuked a nuke and set a nuclear war it was insane but when I found out it came out I bursted in to tears of joy and happiness.
