Imagine being that officer. He was probably thinking "OK, I've just got to prove to this kid there are no monsters under the bed, in the closet, or in this cave." And then he became ritually sacrificed like it's 1962 BC. Absolutely fucking crazy.

In what is now Mexico, such sacrifices were going on well after BC, such rituals being seen by the Spanish. Many of the commoners actually begged the Spanish for help and joined them in fighting against their rulers to put an end to such madness. And they did. Unfortunately, revisionist anti-historians wish to make the Spanish the 100% villains, when in reality, they were the rescuers. Obviously the Spanish did do bad things once gaining power which is inexcusable. However, I think any reasonable person can admit that as bad as corruption can be, nothing is worse than being under rulers who eat you.

That’s why it is important, in situations like that, to take the word of the person at face value until proven otherwise. Even if there is a 95% chance it is nothing, that other 5% can end you. The world is a crazy place and, everyone should always have that in the back of their minds, especially law enforcement. It was the 60’s though, so I can understand the officer being more naive .

Instead, he was courageous enough to keep telling the officers to go check it out, and he even went back there himself too. Extremely sad how the police didn’t take him seriously, probably would have been more prepared to confront the cave rather than sending one police officer

@@timdeathly I think the police should at least check something out when a child is practically begging someone to listen to them. When my daughter was in high school a few people she knew fully believed they were werewolves, vampires and Lichen's. Something happened at school and one of the kids hard a razor blade and was cutting themselves in the restroom. My daughter raises the alarm after trying unsuccessfully to try to get her to stop and hearing her say she planned to take her own life. The school hauled a bunch of these people into the office as well as the girl and they pretend to have no clue what they were talking about. I had heard about some of this first hand as well and went to the school to inform the principal and at first he thought I was psychotic. But I told him to call the girl in while I was there and he did. She came in and after a couple of minutes she broke down and admitted she was trying to kill herself and she was sacrificing herself for their little "coven". I look over at the principal and said "glad I could do your job for you". People need to listen more to children and not just think they are full of "sh**.

Regardless of their age, it really doesn't take a scientist to see when someone is distressed. You can quite clearly tell when someone is trying to get help. These cops in this story were just lazy and didn't want to bother- that's really all it boils down to. I feel bad for the kid though, he tried hard to do the right thing. He didn't deserve what happened to him. At least *one* of those cops took him seriously... but still, they really should have sent more than a boy and one cop to check on a potentially violent scene.

I agree with the nickname, very fitting with character. The other night at Walmart I seen a Mom and Dad walking this young girl through the store, while she was singing "The TeleTubbies Theme Song." Strange I thought as I glanced. Then to my surprise, I noticed that young girls shirt had a picture of Hillary Clinton raising her hands. Monika Lewinsky was bowing down before her, while Bill Clinton was tied to a chair and blind folded. And Donald Trump was holding strings from the sky to everyone head and hands. At the top of her shirt it said,.."The High Priestess of Blood." Will never forget that moment, or this story. Awesome story Mr. B. and keep up the great storytelling. I watch a few of these every night before bed to help me rest. Thanks. Stay awesome!

When you described the light coming from the cave it reminded me of when my mother and me went down to live in Mexico. Every year we had to go back to the border to renew our visa. I had forgotten this particular border visit since I was about 6 years old. We were staying with one of my mom's friends. For some reason we were in the mountains. We saw a line of people with torches and candles going up the side of the mountain to a cave. My mother was curious and wanted to go up to see what was happening but her friend told her it wasn't for foreigners to see. I still have a necklace pendant that is a reproduction of a vampire god (?). It's a made of gold washed silver and the body of the bat is big and pear shaped (the body is a bell) with the stylized bat head and wings at the top. It is a reproduction of a jewelry item found in a tomb of an important priest or leader that was dug up. The tomb had been filled with many pieces of gold jewelry objects. I doubt it has any connection to this story. Around the same time of our border visit that time we were living in a small town and I remember being scared of vampire bats. We didn't have screens on our windows and I was scared a vampire bat would get in, so I sleep with my head under the blanket even in the summer. I had heard of a man at a local outdoor cantina (bar) who had been sitting enjoying a beer when he saw a vampire bat licking the blood from a bite on his thumb. He hadn't even felt it bite him! That was real nightmare fuel for my dreams for awhile.

Thank you very much man it helps me at work im a truck driver here in sonoma county and as a mexicano hearing this story really got me at work 😂 as i was doing my duties! I hella got chills going down my back rn as im sitting in my truck will anyways i have some time to kill so ill tell you all if you have read this far.
When i was 12 my dad worked as a semi truck driver for the waste disposal company and the story went how this young truck driver was driving down the road and he was going around hwy 20 late around 2-3 in the morning. He was checking his mirrors as any driver does and he suddenly feels pretty anxious, as he is checking his mirrors as he pans his head to the left a women appears holding onto the mirrors and side bar of the truck. He slams the breaks and the truck started to go cock eyed but he got control of the truck. He was really spooked, he nervously looked out the window and drove off and as soon as he got to the next rest stop he got out checked and no blood was on the truck or anything. He said she was pale with white eyes and nasty dark mucky hair ugh man when my dad told me that story as a kid fuck it freaked me out but hahah its a great story. Thanks mr. ballin you da man 🤘🏾

Seriously twisted story! What’s frightening is how these villagers were so horribly deceived, essentially creating a mass psychosis event.

I think the best thing about this channel is that 90% of the stories are new to me (a HUGE accomplishment). Stating the obvious-- Mr. Ballen is an amazing storyteller.

Right! I like how he also does unfortunate luck like the ones video about diving or caves or the boy that got trapped by his van sea and the strange missing people. Like it’s not all about the Jeffery Duhmer’s of the world. I used to watch Bailey but, I started to have nightmares about serial killers so I had to stop. His channel gives a healthy mix that doesn’t make me have nightmares

Although I’m ok- and don’t feel I need a therapist right now- I commend you for bringing forth your personal experience in detailing your partnership with better health. Good for you. I’m glad you sought help because I enjoy your videos- but I’m sure those close and personal with you surely would have missed you also. So thank you- and thank you for helping reduce the stigma around men seeking help and sharing your experience! ❤ OH - and most of all!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!

It's probably a lie, sponserships do that often. BetterHelp is a scam, it's been in soo many lawsuits cause its sold very private info about customers and some of the therapists aren't vetted. Therapy is very important and as a dude in therapy I can confirm that it was hard to go at first due to the stigma. But this is just taking advantage of people in need.
