Soul eater only applies on the next hit after the death of another mob. So if you charted the overtime dps on a single enemy one for all would out scale soul eater fast and hard. Damage is not the decision maker here, the utility of enchantments such as syphon and looting are.

Each time he gets a kill on a similar mob using the effect, the last mob is used for the ability, allowing you to chain it infinitely if you are grinding lots of the same mob

I find it funny how skyblock players favour damage over anyhting but not the case for one for all, syphon and lifesteal is more prevlant

That's because of the survivability from lifesteal/siphon and looting giving +15% drop chance per level along with other useful things like chance

Ok but being able to one shot something sometimes is best, if you can kill 100 of something per hour with ofa it’s still better than killing 50 because it takes 2 shots to kill, even with added luck. And one shooting makes healing not matter (usually)

Soul eater depends on damage of the mobs, not their health(which is said in the description of the enchant btw). It just so happens that enemies with higher hp have higher damage. But, if you test magma cubes and ghosts (both have 1m hp but different damage) the results will be different.

Sometimes your lack of knowledge is terrifying... This is not the first time I've noticed it, but saying Sharpness 7 gives 5% more damage than Sharpness 6 is... damn. SH5 -> 30%, SH6 -> 45%, SH7 -> 65%

I think it came down to what you are using it for. Dungeon clears for example would be better with soul eater because of the consistent kills, where as ofa excels better in drawn out fights with higher health mobs.

tbh you won't even compete in damage when you do crimson isle stuff as bers unless you're doing blaze in particular, and master mode damage... only if you're lcm, then gs/claymore make sense, otherwise you can throw that away since you'll be useless
just an average jujunator setup (terror + juju) or budget mage (aurora staff, voodoo and fire veil combined) do way better on the crimson isle than meleeing would... for more than 5x cheaper
the only real use for melee is doing ghosts and slayers, everything else can be done 10x better by other classes for literally the same price
i still see no point in getting gs exclusively for revs since aots is cheaper and stronger, you have atomsplit for eman (and even then, rcm is better if you don't have crimson with attributes), you have to use daggers against blaze slayer, so gs/claymore has no use there as well... seriously what's the point of these melee weapons in this meta? melee would be basically useless if not the fact that you're forced to play it in some places, like it's not even a choice for most endgame content unless it's forced (especially kuudra and m7)... it's more like cringe if you even try to use it there

one for all is so good for damage i do 67k with livid dagger with normal enchants
and 101k with ofa but trying to fight bosses with no life steal is impossible i just die so i have to use enchants

Soul eater is about your enemies DAMAGE, not heath. Soul eater V adds 10x your enemies damage to your next hit. The health of your enemy has NOTHING to do with it. Good video, but that detail bothered me
