I ended up getting AOTE within the first 4 hours of a co-op with my friend, the way we did it was because for some reason the artisanal short bow was bought for 600 coins and sold for 30K coins so we just sold a lot of that on ah right at the beginning of the game.
idk about you, but tbh i feel like rushing aurora staff + voodoo does more damage than rushing aotd, but focusing on combat early isn't really a good idea in general, you can leech arachnes in some cheap setup to make money and you'll make more money with mining stuff i guess, even powder mining is good money for starters could get a hunter knife asap for +40 speed early on i guess
for the pet thing if you want (a little better eff) use a common pet in that skill for early game ie if ur doing combat get a cheap common combat pet like a griffin and mining common armadillo and foragin common monky or ocelot

Swavy i recommend getting minion expander collection and craft flipping them, they are usually around 40k and u can make them for 11k so 30k profit per and they sell really quick 100% recommend if ur early game

In the last 5 minutes 3 stacks of glowing mushrooms sold (same quantity I listed). So unfair that mine sold after 30 seconds instead of me having to wait 100 seconds, what an insane contraband advantage...
