@@Schmitz3 My uncle claimed he had a sign in a drawer somewhere that read “why are you looking here?“ In situations like this he said he would go get his sign and hang it up. He never did. As a child I was convinced he actually had the sign ! But given that he never hung it up I’m assuming that it was just a fun story.
Well, that’s an unfortunate location for an air conditioner… Congrats on the move and the 50 videos! Not a chance my layout could be moved intact. Only things I would be re-using are the buildings and rolling stock. Hopefully the trees… Possibly some of my track…
Dave, hats off to making that many videos, and thank you! The UA-cam gurus don't realize how hard it is to make a video a week when you actually MAKE something, rather than just talk into a camera, and yours are always high quality.
Agree... She's pretty awesome to be helping out like she does... My wife wouldn't set foot in my workshop if it meant helping with a project. It's not hostility toward my hobby, or the spending, it's just a general lack of interest.
I for one am glad you are keeping the climate maker now you can add wind and heat to your desert layout for that total Thunder Mesa open house experience. Congratulations on the fifty videos. Your ability to tell a story and make it interesting is what keeps us coming back. Thanks Dave
Wow, that made me nervous when you were taking the layouts out the door sideways...Glad it all went well. I can still see the air conditioner so that still has me concerned haha! Thanks for sharing!
👏👏👏Bravo! Nice to have that move behind you. It’s been enjoyable to follow along. Now about that a/c unit! Sorry, but the entertainment value is great.😂
Hey Dave, this is not a comment about the air conditioner comment. I'm impressed you still had all the green boxes, even if stuff didn't always fit. It's sooooo tempting to toss my jewel cases for my N Scales stuff
I like how the sterile white room transformed into a fun looking layout room even with the pieces not in place yet! Things are getting real interesting now. I’m looking forward to what you and your air conditioner have for us next! Lolololol!
Amen! Cannot wait to see the new format! BTW, at 50 videos for the year you are doing so much better than me! I only have about 180 videos totally. Love your videos.
Moving on! 😊😊😊 yeah I don’t know that very many people realize how hard it is to do one video a week we try to do two every week, we generally do a computer craps out or something. But one of them is kind of a regular show and the other ones kind of something we put together as fast as humanly possible. Still so much work! When I look at how much production value you put into yours, I understand just how much work that is. I hope everyone understands how much work that is.
Thank you, Dale. That's why I always tell people who are interested in starting their own channel that you need to enjoy the video making process as much as the hobby stuff - Because your going to be spending a lot of time doing it!
@@ThunderMesaStudio yup. It’s building modeling and such, but it’s mostly shooting and editing. It slows modeling to a crawl. Ya gotta love it or it’s not worth doing.
Now that the bump in the road is past you, Dave, you can make the new studio like home. Glad all moved well. It would be nice to see what broke and how you fix it.
Great vidio, i shutter ta think of moving my Yardlayout, it is about 80% redone into module's, just 25' still hung on the fence.Good luck and stay happy. Thanks for the morning coffee..
Dave, congratulations on your 50th video! I know it takes a lot of time to edit up one video so we greatly appreciate your efforts. The air conditioner….just kitbash it into a Thunder Mesa building. Make sure to tell your wife we appreciate her patience of the hobby and…well…also putting up with you. 😂 Take care!
Haha. If you are never going to use the A/C unit you could cover it with a whit cardboard box so that “new” viewers never see it. 😂, cheers Peter from downunder.
Just as well you had a willing and obviously strong wife/helper to assist! I’m currently building my first ever model railroad layout - On30 of course - “Black Dog Mine” south-western hard rock US themed. I’ve had it suspended from cords on the ceiling of my man cave which is a partitioned section of our double garage; with a hand winch to raise or lower it. HOWEVER, as it’s tucked in a corner it can be awkward to get at things (like derailed or stopped locomotives), so I’ve decided to move it into the open part of our garage. I did build in on four detachable legs so can be self standing, but it seems unbelievably heavy so I’m going to have to recruit some assistance and hope that nothing gets wrecked in the move process! 🧨⛏🧨⛏🇬🇧
Great to see the move went well. You should just stick a towel or box over the AC so you don't have to talk about it anymore. But then people will want to know what's underneath. Can't win, I guess.
Are you going to remove that A/C unit??? It puts out hot air....... SORRY......I had not asked yet and was feeling left out. Scary moving the layouts!!!! thx
You need to make a fancy sign to hang on the Air Conditioner wit all your Air Conditioner answers
And make sure the sign says "Air Conditioned for your comfort" :)😄

Always a gentleman, a good man always walks backwards when caring things with a partner hehe.

Hey Dave! What’s up with that air conditioner in the wall? 😅 I’m kidding!
Are you going to address the open space above the rolling door or is that a non-issue?
I'll get to it
Cool and all, but what's going on with that air conditioner? 😂
Dave, I’m interested in adding ambient sound to various areas on my layout. Have you ever done this?
Yes, on all the layouts. Check out the systems available from Fantasonics Engineering. ua-cam.com/video/59BezNpBN4A/v-deo.htmlsi=qLLEswhZbHIrBpsd

Put a card board/paper sign saying "Do not use" on the air conditioning before it becomes a running joke on the channel.
Too late I think
