PSB. величайшая группа. Я их слушаю с 1989 года примерно, смутно помню, это больше 30 лет. Если у группы есть фаны с таким долгим стажем, эти группы останутся в веках. Уверен, часть их песен будут слушать и через 300 лет
When I was really young I always thought this was a Pet Shop Boys song 😅 Neil Tennant's voice is so distinctive and recognizable, no wonder why many people think this was made by PSB
There are two other songs with Bernard Summer singing and Neil doing the backing vocals called The Patience of a Saint and the amazing Getting Away with It (which is a really good song and it was a single). There is a chance to see New Order Electronic and Pet Shop Boys together live in US, The Unity Tour. I think in October. Once in a life time!.
This is from August 1992. So Underrated beautifull haunting dance track with beautiful N falsetto singing and get's better towards the end, a bit sad and melancholy. Never heard played after since anywhere? :(
Great song and great reaction Dereck, as always! My favorite Electronic song is Idiot Country from their first album, I know you'd love it. Getting Away With It and Get The Message were big hits on our Alternative station here in Columbus. Great stuff!
If there ever was a voice that rolls so well with synth, this is it. It's silk layer over any music. And as you said like a fingerprint for PSB even if it's not PSB. As per usual you are on an almost ridicoulus level of reaction excellence and it's always a pleasure to see you being confronted with stuff I also hear for the first time and even more by tracks and music that my old wrinkly self has adored ever since I heard it when I was young and crispy. You are definetively a standout within the swamp that reaction videos have become to a certain extend. Especially since you are not just listening and just cut off immediatly bit do more od a deep dive into what you have just heard. Big thanks for that. Talking about "music most dear" I would love to see your reaction on an album/tracks from Roxy Music who celebrate their 50y anniversary this year and have created an album that I would consider being the album I would take to the island if I could pick only one: "Avalon". My mosted favourite track from it is "Main Thing", a track that is surprisingly funky and has even some trace elememts of basic disco and subsecuent house music rythm. But with that album it boild down to pick your poison. Looking forward seeing more of you, stay safe!
I love the song Before it brings out the R&B side of the Pet Shop Boys which you don't get much of from them they do have a few other R&B tracks too but wished they did more of that
Neil never had the best voice, but it was perfect for this kind of music. His ahahas and uhuhus are simply amazing. so gay, so 80th and 90th, so party..... i will always love Pet Shop Boys. I grew up with this music. this music and their shows are just amazing.
I’m a conservative straight guy and even I love Pet Shop Boys. You are right, Neil’s voice was always incorporated properly into the music. Singing in “British” was also unique. I like The 1975 for also singing British.
This track came out at the same time as my first holiday romance when I was 17 years old in 1992. It still take me back in time as soon as I hear the first few bars....So evocotive 😍
The best song of 1992 IMHO. There's so much to hear the more you listen to it. Electronic lasted three albums & span 10 years. There's about 10 singles - all quite different from each other.
Dereck, I hope you're okay. Where did you get that version of the song? It doesn't appear on UA-cam, do you have a link? Thank you very much. Ojalá puedas responder, que estés bien y saludos.
Este tema es hermoso. ME ENCANTA SU LETRA Y SU INMENSA MELODÍA. ES ESPERANZADORA PORQUE DESPUES DE TODAS LAS DESILUCIONES, LOGRAS CONFIAR NUEVENTE ANTES DE SENTIRTE DECEPCIONADO??? Dereck, tienes un parecido increíble a Burt Reynolds.
For a brief history of Tony Wilson, Factory Records & some of the bands watch the movie "24 Hour Party People" Forgot about this track. I think "Getting Away With It" is a bit better. There's a few versions of it. 😊
It’s quite Pet Shop Boys when Neil sings lead. But I can hear some New Order, too. And the guitar by Johnny Marr, while not reminiscent of The Smiths, is stand-out good here.
Please react to ‘Free Yourself’, the new single by Jessie Ware! It’s produced by Stuart Price, the man behind Confessions On A Dance Floor and Aphrodite. It embraces Italo-disco and 90s house across a shimmering 3 minutes and 58 seconds 🪩
Yes this song was inspired by Mylene Farmer but I'm very surprised that they never got to work with her on a song together but if they did it would of been a smashed hit nothing wrong of dreaming of the idea they could still team together if they chose too
You've probably heard all the Kylie Minogue songs, so it's beyond time to greatest cover of a Kylie Minogue song. Wink's cover of Turn it into Love. I say it with absolute confidence. Wink's version is better than the original.
The smiths , new order and the pet shop boys in one band !!
perfect
La voz de Neil Tennnat hace hermoso este tema.

Had no idea this gem was a response track to Mylene Farmer's 1991 masterpiece "Disenchantee"...makes sense...
Yes, surprised me as well when i first heard about that fact... in a very positive way. Neil just has great taste it shows :)...
There are two other songs with Bernard Summer singing and Neil doing the backing vocals called The Patience of a Saint and the amazing Getting Away with It (which is a really good song and it was a single).

I love The patience of a saint. "Bury me with gratitude, you can go to hell"
Three great British bands.
@@symbolism it's my fave one
Neil tennant's voice is Amazing....❤️
Electronic HAS more stuff. Check it out! Their self-entitled album from 1991 is fantastic!
Que voz que tiene Niel, difícil imitarla ❤

Great teamwork. Great song. Great review. Enjoyed this in 1992 and enjoy it today.
Johnny Marr sometimes played guitar with the Pet Shop Boys in the 2000s.
Yes, and Hans Zimmer live.
Great song and great reaction Dereck, as always! My favorite Electronic song is Idiot Country from their first album, I know you'd love it. Getting Away With It and Get The Message were big hits on our Alternative station here in Columbus. Great stuff!
LOVE YOUR REACTIONS BROTHER. HAD TO SUB.
Hermosa canción!
La voz de Neil también es hermosa, le da un toque de nostalgia.

a fantastic album and a part of my early 20's. i did a lot of partying to this song... nostalgia
Neil's voice is fantastic on this, reminds me of the Pet shop boys track Before. You should definitely check it out, one of my favorites.

@@alistairrodgerfairbrother2479 definitely, it's a song they don't do live much . Very underrated.

you really need to listen to Liza Minnellis album "Results" and Dusty Springfields album "Reputation". Amazing songs produced by Pet Shop Boys.

I remember this song featured in the animated movie Cool World. Love your reaction.

I am so dumb didn’t realise it was Pet Shop Boys. Couldn’t see the video due to restrictions. Love this
Great song!!!
Plenty of other good songs by Electronic: getting away with it, tighten up, feel every beat, get the message
Dereck, I hope you're okay. Where did you get that version of the song? It doesn't appear on UA-cam, do you have a link? Thank you very much. Ojalá puedas responder, que estés bien y saludos.
I mixed this. UA-cam deleted it for copyright infringement, but I also uploaded it to Vimeo.
Muy buena reacción. Alguien sabe dónde de puede encontrar esa versión del tema?
Such a great collaboration
With the guys from New Order and Neil. It’s a pity that they haven’t released anything since Twisted Tenderness in 99.
Esta versión tiene una mezcla nueva ¿de dónde la has conseguido?
Je suis le premier ! Et c'est parti pour le show !

great music in the club/disco

Pet Shop Boys at its best.....
Yes this song was inspired by Mylene Farmer but I'm very surprised that they never got to work with her on a song together but if they did it would of been a smashed hit nothing wrong of dreaming of the idea they could still team together if they chose too
Umas das músicas mais lindas que ouvi.
as it is the lead singer of pet shop boys, they sound alike
❤️
💚
this is great but Getting Away With It ....is better imo
And it was a bigger hit too
I prefer disappointed by far.
@@3anaurv2 I do like Disappointed but to me it was more of a Pet Shop Boys sounding song than Electronic
No
The perfect band…. You have to listen to … getting away with it by electronic
Vocals otherworldly. Dancefloor beats electro guitar. Not dated at all
Very hip

Try "Soviet" or "Try all you want".
🤣🤣🤣🤣
