Judith Goulden many thanks to you Judith , it’s a wonderful sight, I can’t wait until our summer comes and we once more enjoy their company, cheers Paul
I am so glad that I've found you. I am teaching myself to use charcoal and one watercolour, crimson alizaron red, to create a feeling of flying butterflies. So I was seeking for a video on that. When I saw your awesome bee, I immediately watch it. And decided to subscribe; you are an amazing teacher, and you are making the project so creative for anyone. Thank you so much. 💚🎨🏡🌳💚
I love you, Paul. Bees are woefully underappreciated, but my favorite underappreciated creatures are bats. I could watch a flying fox eating a banana all day. I'm planning a date night with my girlfriend, and I think we'll try watercolor and charcoal together :) Subscribed so I can add you to my rotation of "channels that are amazing when I'm way too stoned."
I love the vertical flow of watercolor. I feel it really enhances a painting.
Lovely outcome. Something I must try
Im Glad I hope you do, cheers Paul
Here in NZ I have garden full of lavender and bees at the moment, it fascinating watching them . Love the charcoal with watercolour.

I wish you well on it David, let me know how it goes, cheers Paul
I love mix media with charcoal. Will he interesting how you will mix with watercolour medium.
Just did that for my Patrons last week. I will do one for youtube in the weeks to come I hope
This was fun to watch! I am wondering if you use a fixative at the end?
Hi Kathy, no I don't like Fixative in any form as it flattens colour, cheers Paul
Do you fix this painting? Charcoal is very easy to blur, when you touch it.
Hi there Wilhelm, No I do not fix as it flattens. I store under Glassine paper and frame as fast as I can to keep it safe, cheers P
Nice work and effects. Do you ever use fixative on the charcoal before the watercolor?
No never use fix at all thx for the comment
