- So your snow blower won't start, but it worked fine last winter. There's a good chance that you left gas in it and now the carburetor is clogged. This video shows you how to replace the carburetor yourself and save money.

Thanks for your helpful video , friend!
Good job! Mine may be another issue as its not getting gas and the primer does not seem to work but it does need a carburetor so I will start there.
Thanks! Lack of gas should be easy to troubleshoot. A lot of times the replacement carburetors come with a new primer bulb, and sometimes new primer and fuel lines.
thanks for this! was going to clean mine but just going to replace it now
It really is the better and easier way. I have some additional videos doing this same type of carb which might offer better views. All of the Tecumseh engines are the same. Best of luck!
great video
Thanks George, I hope it helped out!!
Another great video. Nice JD blower that was.
This thing is a massive 32” wide. The black one is just a tad smaller, but still big. It’s next.
@@TractorHoarders might be worth keeping for a nice walk behind. 32" is really big. Crazy
Gonna give putting a new carb on! Thanks!
Glad it helped! Good luck!
I put a new carb on my JD 828D & that went ok. I started it up but must have connected something on the throttle wrong because it won't accelerate. Do you know of a detailed diagram that would show the right way to connect the linkages?
I don’t have a diagram but what I do is look at my old carb. Usually there are maybe 3 holes where the throttle linkage can connect to. It should be visible because it will be worn out and larger than the other holes. Just make sure you’re connected to the same hole on the new carb.
@@TractorHoarders Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately, the old carb went into the trash last spring when I changed the carb.
