Taifeadadh é seo ar ghuthán póca, chun ómós a thabhairt go Dolores O'Riordan sa bhealach is fearr a bhí mé in ann smaoineamh air.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Liricí:
Cinn crochta (go)(h)ísle, allta
Leanbh caillte céasta
Is go fíochmhar, (i)’dtost na hoíche
‘A chiúnagh óg ‘s aosta
Ach a chroí, ní mo bhrí
Ní mo chlann, nó cuimhní
‘Tá ag troid, nó ag crith, iad in aighneas
Leis na tancanna lán,
Lán is dallta, le gráin
I do cheann, smaointe ann, bíonn siad scantraithe
I do cheann, i do cheann,
Scantraithe, scantraithe scantraithe
Céard ‘tá 'do cheann, i do cheann
Scantraithe, scantraithe, scantraithe
Croí máithre sáite báite,
cráite leis an mbuairt seo
Nuair is fíochmha(i)r(e) tost ná aoibh
Is éasca ‘n phian a thabhairt leat
Mar an ‘gcéanna, ón bhliain
A chailleadh, réabhlóidí
‘Siad ag troid, iad ag crith iad ag fulaingt
Lena gcroíthe comh lán,
Iad comh lán, lena bhfonn
I do cheann i do cheann, fós in aighneas
I do cheann, cuimhní ann
Scantraithe, scantraithe,
Céard ‘tá ‘do cheann, i do cheann
Scantraithe, scantraithe,...
(also to prove to some new international friends that Gaeilge is a real language!)

I hope that we would have heard Dolores sing it in Gaeilge... but really beautiful!
I know this is nearly 5 years old, but I only just found this. A channel called TG Lurgan did a version of this recently, and I was so dismayed and bothered that a majority of the lyrics sung didn't match the lyrics written, but yours does and it makes me happy, because now I can learn the song as Gaeilge while still learning the language.
Tá sé sin go hálainn! Maith an bhean! There's something just right about this song in an Irish-language version. It fits.
One of the most beautiful singing voices I've ever heard...wow
It is the most beautiful cover I have ever heard of zombie
Who the heck is chopping onions??? So damned important message, with an amazing, pure voice, in one of the world's most sacred languages... brilliant!!!!!
This is fantastic. It was always always my dream to hear this in Irish.
The Cranberries should have released a few of their songs in their native tongue.
Bhí mé ag gol, mar is é sin an-álainn. GRMMA
Just beautiful. I’m Australian, I hope when I visit Eire I might have learned a word from this song.
The majority of Irish people don’t speak irish, but it is still a beautiful language yet often makes people hate it because of the way it’s taught
Incredibly beautiful
Beannachtaí Chlíodhna ort. Anois teacht an Earraigh. Bold and silent is now her repose.
I did your song in irish for my school thanks alot
joehanna leahy This is The Cranberries.
This is absolutely beautiful. Only Dolores could do it better.
Tá sé go hiontach ar fad, GRMA
Hearing this brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing. :)
❤❤❤❤sending love from Ukraine 🇺🇦💙💛💙💛💙
Late to the party - my apologies. Very beautiful. Sooooo well done.
My whole class was singing this song today and some of them are playing the guitar in it
Incredible. No other words.
You are beautiful and so is what you are doing
Mar sin, an-álainn. Ní bheidh mé tuirseach de bheith ag éisteacht le do ghuth angelic.
Great. Wish I could speak that awesome language ...
One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard...
Absolutely love this cover. We'll done
That had to take a hell of a lot of work unless you've known how to speak and write Irish for a long time. Can't imagine if your new to it how long it would take just to translate the writing then to sing it in Irish. Hats off. Encore. Maybe "Sound of Silence" in Irish for next song.
Jenny is extremely fluent in Irish...she works with Irish teens (and probably pre-teens) in the summer at a camp aimed at teaching/reinforcing the Irish language to those kids. She has arranged other English-language songs into Irish, too.
Check on the TG Lurgan channel on UA-cam to see a bunch of her work!
She does a spectacular job!
@@bobtnailer go raibh maith agat
Fair play. I caught this on your story the other day. ... Lovely as always. A very lovely tribute. .
Beautiful version and beautiful language.
Amazingly beautiful, worthy tribute.
Nice! This is something T G Lurgan would have done. Lovely to hear you again.
Maith thú Jenny! is breá liom an amhrán seo! :-)
Tír gan teanga tír gan anam. Níl an Ghaeilge marbh, tá sé beo! Go raibh míle maith agat as é seo a roinnt. Thug an t-amhrán seo deora do mo shúile i gcónaí. Níos mó fós é a chloisteáil i nGaeilge! Tá sé seo ach an-álainn!
Beautiful.
Just wow 😢
superb
Wonderful! Thank you for doing this! Saw this back in 2018 when you posted it, but did not respond. What a tribute to Dolores!
Saw this video on Facebook had me in tears
Fantastic performance! Thank you for doing this.
Inis dom anois go rachaidh tú ar The Voice nó Got Talent Ireland!
de hAustraile fresn. Bre liomsa :) Raibth maith agat
That's very nice 💚💫
TG Lurgan has also translated this, but yours is more accurate I'm sure. My great great grandparents used Irish as their private language at home in New York City late 19th century.
is aoibhionn liom an amhran seo as bearla ach ta se nios fearr as gaelige!!
Hi Jenny i do love this interpretation and your beautiful voice. May i use it to overlay my own simple arrangements. To delicate to my Irish friends. Of course all credit to you. Ciao
