I'm not usually one to comment, or to find YT videos too helpful but this one was perfect, literally no need for another one, thank you and keep it up 👍
Спасибо большое! Все очень хорошо видно и все понятно даже без нания языка.
Очень хорошо придумано, болтики вставлять в картонку, что бы потом не искать какой куда...)
Extremely helpful video, just done this on my car. Was a fucking ball ache. But saved myself some cash doing it myself. Cheers mate
Tom, absolutely super video and very well explained. Certainly helped me to diagnose issue on daughters Corsa D (although a 1.2) but looks very much the same. Great work!
Thank you, glad it helped!
Fantastic video Tom - thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. The video allowed us to replace our water pump due to recent over heating breakdown. Thanks Tom 👍🏼
Brilliant, glad it helped 👍
I love the cardboard use. So simple but effective
Very helpful thanks. I actually planned to take of the wheel and cover for the belt release. The video showed it's not necessary
Thank you so much for your video! With its help I was able to replace the water pump!!!!💪🥰
Mate I wish I'd watched this earlier I got stuck on getting the cover off and was conscious about jacking the engine up too far to get the bolts out. I watched a video from another guy but he had different mounts obviously off and older Corsa. Thanks for this I know I was on the right track.
My Corsa is a Corsa e 2019. There's not a lot of videos on the Corsa e .
Top man.
High level job done.
Happy days
it is very informative at least now how much labor work it needs
Bonjour . video de grande qualité !!! merci monsieur !!!!!!!
very helpful thanks for the upload.
Do you need sealer where it bolts to head or is gasket itself enough thanks
Gasket is enough 👍
@@godfreysautomotiveservices nice one cheers
Well explained, thanks.
Hi do you need to do timing before moving the water pump?
Great video mate, cheers😉
Do you know what the torque settings are for the engine mount please ?? The water pump torque I think is 8nm ?? Thanks
How did put the waterpump pulley back on?
Hello chap, do you need any sealent on the gasket or dry? Cheers
Hi Simon, no sealant on the gasket 👍
How did it actually become apparent that the water pump was defective? I have just removed the same but unfortunately have not found any defect in the pump itself
How much was this job in total i have the exact same problem and bring quoted £400 does that sound right ?
Mate having issue with my sisters corse overheating hoses are well hot but Radiator is cold.. Thinking water pump?
Definitely worth checking mate 👍
@@godfreysautomotiveservices cheers chap👌
Mate water pump and radiator replace on the weekend and still overheating steam coming out from the reservior, thermostat was change 2 weeks ago
@@clarknicolas6780 ah that’s not good, have you done a head gasket check?
@@clarknicolas6780we got same problem right now , changed thermostat still bubbling up , looks like we gotta do the pump , if it was the head gasket , it would be pressurising the coolant Rez straight away ??? Thanks
Good video and well explained! Doing mine weekend did you
Use gasket paste for water pumps to seal! Do you have torque specs!! Cheers
Thank you, no I don’t personally use any paste, never had any issues. Bolts are 8nm for the water pump
@@godfreysautomotiveservices hi seen some people
Use gasket sealer! Just wondered if I needed any that’s all! Like a little help and advice
May i know what kind of tool use you to clean the surface? Thank you
Stanley blade and small brass wire brush
Thanks
Привет. Надо ли что то ещё отвернуть, кроме подушки двигателя, что бы так высоко поднять мотор? Спасибо.
Ive done loads of these and always have an issue getting the engine high enough to get mount out im curious thanks
Hi Wayne, i haven't had any issues removing the mount as yet, i'll lower the engine first to remove the bottom bolt and then jack the engine up to remove the rest. The exhaust flexi will stretch slightly but we haven't seen any exhaust issues afterwards as yet.
What torque did you use for the mount ??
Hi Lance, engine mount to chassis 3xM10 bolts 60nm , 2xM12 bolts to engine mount 80nm + 45degrees
Cheers matey, your a life saver :-) and I subscribed;-)
Did you torque the blots, on the water pump?
Yes 8nm
Thank you for this my corsa been overheating tried everything, ordered new therm didn’t work new pump on the way and a torque wrench hopefully it’s the pump, all pipes remain cold
@@joer2513 sounds like the pumps not circulating the coolant round 👍 let us know the outcome!
@@joer2513 Are you sure the engine coolant physically overheats? (Steam out of the radiator cap?) Because a weak point with the corsa’s is a faulty radiator temperature sensor, you’re dashboard will show overheating engine and the engine goes into emergencyloop, mine did the same. Coolant temperature on the dash was 140°C but the engine was functioning normal, except going in emergencyloop, since the engine doesn’t know the coolant temperature. You have 2 coolant temperature sensors on the Corsa: 1 in the thermostat housing & 1 in the radiator. If the difference in the two temperatures goes over a certain tolerance, it trips a check engine fault code P00B7 (engine coolant flow low/performance) and/or P0117 (engine coolant temperature sensor 1 circuit low) Also are you sure the thermostat functions correctly? The plastic legs that hold the thermostat in place break easily wich results in an always closed thermostat. The thermostat should open at 103°C. From what I read its a problem with the radiator temp sensor or you’re thermostat. If the waterpump doesn’t leak or make a whining noise. You can also listen if the bearing is still good with a long screwdriver on the waterpump and listen, or a mechanics stetoscope. Good luck in finding the issue 👍

Also found jacking it high it stretches the exhaust flexi aswel
i need mine doing , what is the price am looking at please ?
How long did it take from start to finish ?
Hi Kev, allow about an hour and a half
I cant seem to get the bottom bolt out of engine mount bracket if i let engine down it wont come out and if i jack it up the engine is caught on bulk head and wont go high enough, when jacking engine up it seems to go up and back.
Try unbolting the exhaust flexi, it may allow you to Jack it up slightly higher to remove the bolt mate 👍
Hi. Do you know what is a normal water tempresure for Corsa D? My corsa standing on driveway goes up to 117. The fan kicks in at 109. Shouldn't be normal tempresure at 107 for Corsa D 1.2L
Hi, yes your vehicle temp seems slightly high, these should be from around 90-107.
Nice video but still missing how to get the belt off and on !
Ah sorry, I thought I included everything. Did you manage to sort it?
@@godfreysautomotiveservices unfortunately, not yet
Help please 🥺
ofcourse you mentioned that you supported the engine underneath but you had to show us this. This is the most important. Don't forget this is a tutorial video. If i will go my car to the workshop , your video is useless for me.
Дураку понятно, что мотор на чем то держался. Что за глупые вопросы?
