I'm German, and I'm teaching the German language on UA-cam! I'm doing that in an 'edutainment way', which means I'm combining educational stuff with entertainment. :D Thanks for the kind words! :)
Herr WURST the trick for a german "ch" is that it isn't a hard sound... it's way in the front of you mouth and not at all in your throat. it's literally just exhaling while forming an "i" like in "initiate" or the "i" sound of "eager". good to practice on the word "nicht", since the "ch" is right behind the "i"
Hier ein einfacher Zungenbrecher für Sunny (here a simple Tongue Twister for Sunny): Machen Drachen manchmal nachts echt freche Sachen, oder lachen Drachen manchmal acht freche Lacher? Sunny do you like it? :P
Warum nicht? Wenn es nette Kommentare sind, Fragen oder einfach interessante Themen (wie z.B. ihre Art der Ausstrahlung), kann man sich doch darüber jeweils austauschen? :)
* Say this fast 3 times out loud. "I won a math debate!" * I never saw a saw saw like the saw I saw saw. * A tutor who tooted the flute, tried to tutor two tutors to toot. Said the two to their tutor, "is it harder to toot or to tutor two tutors to toot?". * A skunk sat on a stump. The skunk thunk the stump stunk and the stump thunk the skunk stunk.
I'd really like another part xD Next time maybe something like: Wenn Fliegen hinter Fliegel fliegen fliegen Fliegen Fliegen hinterher. Wenn Robben hinter Robben robben Robben robben Robben hinterher. Wenn Rollen hinter Rollen rollen rollen Rollen Rollen hinterher. Wenn Griechen hinter Griechen kriechen kriechen Griechen Griechen hinterher. Wenn Walzen hinter Walzen walzen walzen Walzen Walzen hinterher. Or: In Ulm, um Ulm, um Ulm rum.
- Schnecken erschrecken wenn Schnecken an Schnecken schlecken, weil zum Schrecken vieler Schnecken Schnecken nicht schmecken - Nice video btw, I really enjoyed it:)
Think your biggest problem with speaking "ch" is... sometimes you change between the voiceless palatal fricative which is used after others then the dark vocals and the voiceless velar fricative which is used after the dark vocals (a,o,u and au). This break the "flow" of a word. Best example in your case... your "ich" sounds ok (no really good but ok) but in your "nicht" you tried to use a voiceless velar fricative... possible way to learn is say only the word "ich" a few times until it could also come from a native german. Then put the other Letters before and after like: n-ich-t F-ich-te r-ich-tig S-ich-er
Now, that's a quality comment! Respect for that proper explanation! I'm studying 'German studies' and I immediatley recognized those technical, linguistic terms - nice! :)
Danke. Es ehrt mich so etwas von einem Fachmann zu lesen. Es kostete auch ein bisschen mehr Recherche und Gedanken als ein "Haha, your german sounds funny"... und ist hoffentlich auch hilfreicher.
10 Ziegen ziehen 10 Zentner Zucker zum Züricher Zoo 10 Goats pull 10 centner Sugar to the Züricher Zoo that one's my Favourite Tongue Twister of them all make sure to do an second episode pls :D!
You can make the 'ch' sound like 'Ni*ch*t' by rising your toung almost up to your palate and then blowing a bit. Thats the best way I can explain it. Oh and it sounds better if you don't rise the tip of your tounge, so make something like a curve with your tounge. Good luck! Nice video!
To pronounce 'nicht' right just imagine it being written like 'nisht'. Now just pronounce the ch like if you said 'shoulder'. It is literally the same sound ;)
Its not quite the same sound, but the way you create it is fairly similar. If you just flatten your tounge/point the tip down instead of up while pronouncing he 'sh' you'll get the right, soft 'ch' sound.
I just noticed "Fishers Fritz fishes fresh fish" is just as hard to pronounce in English as "Fischers Fritz fischt frische Fische" in German... finally we have a multilingual tonguetwister that works in more than just one language :)
German is great langauge they just have a bit problem with long words and hard grammer ! but at least when they speak words they wright the same wrods they spook unlike engligh u say hi and type ghhasHasdasssi
Keep learning, you'll make progress! :) The key is the learn patiently and focussed. Many people wanna rush through a foreign language, but that doesn't pay off.
Sunny a little tip from a German : If you want to pronounce the ch you always make a "hard" ch You have to pronounce it like shoulder for example. The sh from shoulder is how you pronounce the German ch
this video was great....pure fun.😂😂 I have another one: der Whiskymixer mixt Whisky mit dem Whiskymixer mit dem Whiskymixer mixt der Whiskymixer Whisky
Another tongue twister would be "Wenn Fliegen hinter Fliegen fliegen, fliegen Fliegen hinter Fliegen" which means "When flys fly behind flys, fly flys behind flys"

You speak out the "ch" like they do it in the swiss :D
Herr WURST as a swiss german... yes, totally! :D
