Good info. Thanks very much. I was already aware of the 'platform racquet' thing, so I ordered mine together with some lead tape. I can't wait to take it for a spin (just ordered). Cheers 👊
This is definitely a control oriented racquet. Slicing and dicing is also a delight. Power is really the only shortcoming. Power is VERY low, and I play with multifilament! Weigthed up the racquet with 3 grams of lead tape at 3 & 9, I also put on head protection tape on the entire bumper guard (3 grams worth), and I had to thicken the grip which added 12 grams there. Maybe this thing needs natural gut to get decent power?...
@@prempititantipool3075 The unsettling thing was that I initially noticed very low power AFTER the customization that I mentioned. Perhaps the strings needed some time to 'settle in' or lose a bit of tension because the next time I played with the Ultra Pro it suddenly played a lot better. I noticed it's of course still a control oriented racquet but now I got decent power from it, as well. So if you get one (and the v4 will probably be very similar) make sure to weigh up the hoop AND the grip size as I mentioned, and use an elastic string like a good Multi (I use Head Velocity MLT 1.25 black @ 21 kg or 46 lbs) or gut for the trampoline effect (ball speed /power).
@@WaltKurtz68 So overall you like the racket? I am hesitating between Ultra and Blade but kinda find the racket that could hit as hard as I want and not going long.
@@prempititantipool3075 I like the racket! Because it's high in control and relatively low in power. If you're seeking a racket that you could hit as hard as you want without the ball going long then you'll want a racket low in power, otherwise your shots will sail long very easily. The Wilson Ultra Pro would be an ideal candidate for that kind of play. You could have yours strung with a little bit stiffer string to be able to really hit for the fences.
Definitely will do, Ezone Tour i suspect releases late July - looking forward to testing more setups with the Ultra Pro, will provide an update when i can, thanks for watching
If you can also review the ultra v3 100 if you have access. I know very different stiff RA compared to ultra pro but saw one review that has the 100 as being very stable and good even against high level players

The HD will be totally opposite end of the spectrum, Gravity Pro and Prestige MP will be easier to transition to IMO
I'm a very average 4.0. Play doubles exclusively. Flat hitter. Devoured tons of info about customizing. Got it to 334SW. Lead at 9&12. Above grip. If this is indeed a control frame, then why don't more people string it with a really good multi (NXT?) for a bit more pop? No longer a poly fan as the playability duration is unacceptable. Full bed of gut? I'd hate to sell these for a tweener but how can I juice more power from this frame without adding more weight?
A multi sure can help with a little extra power, but not many options left other than weight, because It's for pure control and feel - the ideal user is either using it for pure accuracy, or to tame their own power, getting extra pop from this frame is not something you'd realistically be looking for -should be self generated
You can open your buttcap trapdoor with a thin tool, if your handle is hollow and empty, you can put in some blue tac or tungsten putty along with cotton balls (first) so it doesnt leak into the frame If your racquet has foam or silicone inside already and no space, you would take off the original replacement grip, add strips of lead of designated amount weighed, wrap around bottom of handle - if it doesnt stick can use tape (some people say they feel the difference in thickness, but to me its negligible and easier to set up)
Any reviews on pro stocks ? I feel like my h19 got more power when I strung it with Alu pwr rough. Full bed. Nice review. Keep up the good work. Review the yonex EZONE 98 please
Haha, purchasing Pro Stocks probably just too expensive for me, i do have access to some but i'm generally happy with higher volume of racquets than all the super expensive stuff I did play with a modified handle Gael Monfils personal H19 XL, (he uses Grip 5, got modified to 3), it definitely was more powerful, especially XL and all, would of been nice to have my own setup with it to test its full potential though I'll probably go straight to the 98+ or Tour because i sold my ezone 98 already, in stock just found it to have too much power with no supplement for control, but heard it does alot better with some lead - also was a bit harsh for my sensitive wrist Thanks for supporting!
AC Tennis pro stocks can get expensive but some people sell them for a reasonable price. I had a PT57a 16x19 xl. It was super stable , powerful and comfortable but I couldn’t get used to the xl. I cut it down to standard length. I added weight to the 3 and 9 and the handle. Feels different. Could also the string being dead. I am learning to stay with one racquet after buying too many.
its the same racquet as ultra tour 97 right? with different paintjob I use the ultra tour 97 and since everyone says its better with lead, I tried it. Yeah its the same racquet from what i know - my one came on spec so it lacked alot, i usually dont like weighting up racquets You might of got a one that had some more weight in the head to begin with because of QC issues, but that actually makes it play way better 🤣 I actually demoed the racquet with no mods, and it actually played quite nice, but buying it new, it played totally different, unstable and hollow with no feel

Hi, I just bought a Wilson Ultra Pro v3, and I am realizing that this racket vibrates a lot, and I would like to know if this is normal our there is something wrong with my racket. Note: I do not use dampener
Apply head protection tape along the entire bumper guard, put 2 to 3 grams of lead at 3 and 9 o' clock and weigh up the grip about 10 grams. This improves stability and power, and gets rid of the vibrations (the more mass in the hoop the less vibrations).
