Great review again! Tennisnerd also noticed a difference in stiffness. He wasn't sure if it was a QC issue with his stick, but I guess your review confirms there may be slight difference in the layup.
I put a couple layers of the wilson racket head saver tape all the way from 3 oclock to 9. I also put some under the grip and then use about 3 overgrips and it weighs in at 353g/ 12.4oz (Ultra Tour 97v2). Still feels lighter than the 11.7oz N-code Six One 95.
Any new racquet is will be stiffer naturally. A racquet softens the more you use it and string it. I love my ultra tours. I can’t believe you can’t get these in stores, only from Wilson. I would love you to compare the ultra pro vs the blade 98 18x20. The specs are very similar.
Hi, I just bought a Wilson Ultra Pro v3, and I am realizing that this racket vibrates a lot, and I would like to know if this is normal our there is something wrong with my racket. Note: I do not use dampener
Mike mu hi Mike, thanks for the shout. Hitting with the new aero vs at the moment and I’ll cover the strike vs a little in that. Will add it on to the list for sure though 👍 many thanks
5:58 The problem is that I don't think anyone has managed to get the customisation right. I know loads of people who bought these, spent ages fiddling with them but then eventually got rid of them because they couldn't get them working!
so far the only thing I liked doing was putting 2 grams at 12 and then two grams at the bottom of the handle, because it felt most like the original balance.
Hi Andy. How would you stack the ultra tour (ultra pro) customize to be heavier vs prestige Mp 360 vs vcore hd? Which one would you prefer? By the way what worked best for my ultra tour was 4 gms at 3 and 9 plus 2 grams at 12 counterbalanced in the handle with leather/ lead.
Hey, I like the HD and the prestige mp 360 but I would take these for sure. Just love the feel, the lack of tech just feels familiar and nice to me, no strange sounds, reliable, nice and plush.
@dj.....my ultra pro v3 experience is the exact opposite to Andy and I'd take either prestige mp 360 or yonex vcore hd (which I own) well in front of the Wilson. Suffice to say I found the ultra pro to be underwhelming to be polite. Further, the paint job was one of the worst, if not the worst I've ever seen on a so called premium stick. Paint was scuffing and I was worried it was chip away, even though it was brand new. It had only just been strung before it was sent to me was all. However, my customisation only went as far as 2.5g @ 9 & 3 & it was freshly strung with tour bite @54lbs. After a weekend of hitting I then sent it back (unimpressed). I can now say that the Angell tc 97 custom stands head and shoulders above the rest. Perhaps Andy you might care to check out a racquet from a fellow Brit and see what Paul can sort you out with. Old school feel, but so solid without being firm at all. However, not as flexi and the prestige or vcore hd. Still, it's all about the feel. Edit: not sure if it's clear above...I own both prestige and vcore HD...sort of looks like only vcore HD. Cheers. 🎾🎾🎾
nostro1001 thanks for the comment. Angell Tc 97 custom is high on the list to get hold of and review for sure - sounds like it will be right up my street! 👍
@@tenniseuphoria5012 I would assume so Andy....and for a prestige variant (tad more power) k7 lime. I've been enamoured with the tc97 custom!! Cheers 🎾🎾🎾
Fascinating! Looking forward to the Babolat Pure Aero VS review.

Good review. I have resumed playing with this racquet and second all you said about the Tour version. Good stick!

I have found the new Ultra Pro which is in this vid in regular sporting stores like Dick’s, surprising because the Tour wasn’t there.
Can you do a retro review for Graphene Touch Prestige MP, the last to use the old 95 inch MP mold. Thank you!

Great review! I’m looking for a couple of ultra tours L2. Do you know how can I get them? Thanks in advance!
16 by 19 version ? thoughts
If it’s possible it would be great if you would be able to review the Babolat Pure Control/Pure Strike VS...maybe the tour version..

What is RA od this racquet?
63 strung
@@WaltKurtz68are you getting that from tennis nerd? I can't find it anywhere? The v2 was 64.
Oh right he talks on it.
@@chrisburke9932 I honestly can't remember where I saw the specs but I'm quite sure it was 63. Don't put me on a polygraph about it though!

It is on my list 👍
