Hope you guys are getting that white gold and making some money this winter! We're still waiting for a real plow event but these salt runs are starting to add up! 💰
Wow, 10 salt runs already! Thats wild. I’m in Hamilton Ontario, only done 3 so far. I think I usually only average around 15 a season. I’d be rich if I were at 10 already lol
Lol yeah we'll see where we're at with EOM! Thankfully the revenue is growing through winter, and hopefully so will profits. We've been making some big investments to get this far, and honestly, reinvesting even more in the next 60-90 days. Hoping for a big haul through winter, so we can make some big investments come spring!
My snow rider mag sits in a storage bin on site and I use the drop spreader on it. Would that salt spray help it or should I wash it down or should I just leave the salt as the water actives it and moved the salt all over ?
We are feeling the pain down here in Missouri. Only been out once for a salt run a couple weeks back for a freak event they said wouldn't amount to anything and wouldn't be cold enough to freeze. (They were wrong) Looking like mid-January we might have a snow event I can finally hook the plow up for. Fingers crossed!
I still don’t understand why you don’t remove that dumper. The salt isn’t going to be kind and it sure blocks your visibility. The Boss spreaders are awesome aren’t they? We always keep a spreader loaded and inside the heated shed ready at a moments notice. We also don’t plow with salt trucks. I’d spray that salt neutralizer on the brake calipers. We have trouble with them seizing.
The dumper is on the way out for our next build! It's been a blessing but a dump trailer is next. And yep, one day soon we'll have a dedicated salt rig or two!
Running a business out of your house is about the worst thing you can do to stunt your growth. Get a real shop and an office and get some separation between church and state. It’s only a matter of time until the neighbors start complaining about the 2:00am start times. Horns honking, lights flashing, guys yelling. No one wants that next to them.
Yawn. No one's running the business out of my shop. The trucks go home. We keep overflow equipment here. No doubt we're making sure to walk that line carefully. We'll have a shop setup very soon. Thanks for the concern!

Get a dedicated 7yd salt truck. Holt truck sales in IL is a great builder. $50-75k
Right down the street from my house 👍
Put those cotton pajamas on under regular pants…works everytime. Same concept at the pantsbyour are wearing.

Prayers man!
I feel like the snow business is on it way out, really little snow over the last 5 years or so
If you think it is or you think it isn't, you're already halfway there. ❤️
lol love the minions reference 😂
Lol
Are your residential accounts seasonal or per service?
Exclusively seasonal. We don't offer any per push service.
Angelo’s always loaded way heavy.
Hey man are you going to be going to be there lawn care crews next year
We'll see!

Tip live somewhere where it snows in the winter month 😆 🤣
Location location location! 😎
Why are your trucks on gas ?
Gas engines are far better suited for our business since we don't haul heavy and have tight route density.
Diesel nowadays just isn't worth it unless you absolutely need it. Emissions has made owning a diesel a royal pita unfortunately.
Imagine if you still sub'd it out. I'm over in SW Pa and I've been out 9 times already, only plowed once so far though.
I'd be scrambling to find extra work, no doubt about it. Thankful to bring the work in house.
First time loader operator lol?
The regular guy had the night off, true story. Lol

Loader operator 🙄🙄
Didn’t get much help parking perpendicular to the face of salt !! Go get em loader guy
It wasn't their main guy, to be fair. A crappy load job beats not being loaded at all. Major in the majors ❤️
@ I totally understand
