Nothing Worse than a Sick Motor but at least it Immediately Pinpointed an Issue. Question is, is it the Only Issue ? Thanks Curtis for Keeping your Customers, Cool.
Hello Curtis. There is so much we couldn't see on this repair, was the customer filming you filming yourself working? From what i see you are far beyond fair and respectful to customers. Thank you for sharing.
I've watched many of your videos and appreciate you sharing them. I do however have 2 questions as a lifelong craftsman. Why do you jerk wires off terminals? That can damage the terminals or the wire. Why do you start machine bolts/ screws with an impact which could cross the threads thereby damaging the screw threads?
@@HVACGUY Thanks for the reply. I do appreciate your videos and they're very helpful to a lot of people. I'm a little "OCD" at times and things like that are like fingernails scratching over a chalkboard to me. lol I'm 71 yo and have been in maintenance since I was 18.
I may have missed something here when I was watching this video, but was there anything else wrong other than that motor. The only reason I asked it was running when you got there just making a awful noise. I’ll probably miss something somewhere.
That motor looks as if it fits several models….I.e shaft length extending beyond the seating location for the fan hub…would be nice to tear the motor down to see exactly what’s wrong vs just saying it’s bad because of bearing end play

We used to service Trane units and some condenser motors were quitting intermittently. Very hard to catch!

i had to zoom in on the pressures ..... wrong refrigerant lol
Thanks for posting
You bet
Just gave the vid the 666th thumbs up. The thumbs up of the beast I suppose. As always, appreciate you taking us along on these calls! 😀
Much appreciated
Yep that motor was shot, sounded like it was from outer space.
Hey Curtis, what happened to the work table you used to use for the motors? Thanks for the great videos!
Still got it. Don’t really need it

Those inserts in the motor don’t have threads. So that’s really the only way to start those. Second, maybe bad habits
Great job Curtis another happy costumer thanks for the video

Why did you not clean the leaves out of the unit?
No more squeaky noise!
Sounds like the condenser fan motor!
Obviously!
I wish you would spend three dollars and purchase a magnetic base parts holder at harbor freight, other than that love the videos!
I was thinking the same thing; they're a blessing from heaven! No kidding!
I have and it stays in my truck at all times. I don’t remember buying it.
Link to it ? Wanna see what y’all are talking about
Where'd you get that magnet light. Is it good in crawl spaces
Got that at the Home Depot

Where can I purchase those leads good sir ?
Fluke Twist Guards
What are the the wires that you yanked out in order to repair fan motor?
Just the wires to the fan.
The solar panel in the top left of the intro looks weird? Did it melt?
No, it was "cooled" by the discharged air from the squeaky fan motor. LOL
A Tree limb fell on it.
What does a job like that cost I've been shorting myself
👍👍👍
Wuz up!
You could have at least cleaned the leafs out of the base. Good business move.
It's a diagnose and repair not a preventative Maintenance.
for 2k repair you should get both !!!
It is always a good idea particularly if a lady is watching your work; only takes a couple of minutes of time.
@@fernandobazan829 2K?? What?
Why? More will just end up back in it.

Hi bro
What's up?

What's the point wasting time; those "bearings" can't be replaced! Who's gonna pay for the extra time?
Come on Curtis clean that crap out
