many things to love about this channel but two things stick out right now
    1. the fact that much of the work is done using simple hand tools and skills, as opposed to having 100 grands worth of ridiculous pro level machinery, and
    2. the fact he doesn't feel the incessant need to talk at all, saving us having to listen to mindless, unnecessary over-explanation and repetition, as though talking to brain dead zombies.

I just don’t understand how this channel exists. The tools and materials are modest, the projects are big, high quality, complex and diverse and yet somehow there’s no sponsors,ad reads, plan sales, patreon solicitations.

Nope, not just you. Strangely, I find them most soothing when I've got a near- migraine headache. Weird, I know, but I can have the volume low enough that the saws aren't piercing, while still getting the calmness of it all. I'm not sure why it works for me, but, hey, I'm not questioning it.

Your work has me mesmerised. I used to enjoy watching my late father make items out of wood when he retired. He would be in his element in your workshop. He used to make side tables, then doll four poster beds and my Mam used to make the bedding and they’d gift them to charities. Then when my children got into. School age he made them there own beds with the names engraved into the headboard.
You truly are an amazing talented man.

You do way more hand tooling off camera than on.. I figured, you would use more power tools, but, when you cut back in, there is the rest of the shavings, etc... Wow!!
Great videos. Great work. But, if you choose to use powertools while off camera,, no one would complain.. That was a Massive amount of work went into that Cabinet..
Even the Moulding.. Ha..Ha... A work of Art.. I really like your design for the drawer frame structure.. You are a true craftsman... Congratulations on your work,,, and than you for taking the countless hours to capture it on video and all the work you put into the videos... A huge Thank you.. I have learned a lot watching each of your videos.

It appears to me to be more about the skill, he knows what he's doing and how to go about achieving it with "consistent" high quality, obviously patience helps, whilst his work using pallet wood is exemplary I would like to see him to to use top quality wood commensurate with his skill, now that would be something else, but more outlay and niche (Most people would think that they "might" be able to make themselves these things out of pallet wood, well maybe in 10 years!) I suppose, but I will continue hoping!?!

I am not saying that is wrong, but I am sad that sometimes that I can no longer keep up and relate. In this sense < I appreciate this channel, the extreme patience, and cavity is one thing, but despite having a ton of machines he chooses to use hand tools where possible. OK everybody, who doubts that Jason is not the king of recycling and master at drawer making? A pleasant 40 mins with a cuppa. Thanks Jason. Would still like to hear your voice, even if it is just the closing words.. 'Thanks for watching'. 😊

Thanks Pete. Yes, I get asked a lot to do a voice-over on video. Hoping to do a shop tour at some point. I think a lot of people are starting to think I can't speak :)
