I so appreciate CBS catching and highlighting the classiness and exemplary sportsmanship of the Hiram womens' team. Lauren deserves all the recognition she has received for her courage and determination to live her life to the fullest she can. It's just nice that the Hiram team members were also was noted for their contribution to make Lauren's day "the best day she's ever had."
I'll bet ESPN was not too happy about this. This display here shows how Lauren Hill is so much more deserving of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on the ESPY's
This is a textbook example of the difference between loving the game and loving the win. These ladies obviously love to the game more than they loved the win.
That’s the spirit America needs right now , everyone coming together as family , helping each other towards a common good that enriches all, the feel good factor is what has been missing the last few years, be the change you want to see in your community watch how it ripples out to become a wave of hope and happiness.
Character is not built on how much money you make, or how good of an athlete you are. Character is built inside your heart. It's built in values taught be good parents, good coaches, and teammates. We need more of this in the world today.
This is such an amazing story. Thanks again Steve and CBS for making uplifting bittersweet "real life" stories like this a priority. You know you can't make this stuff up. LOL If I saw this in a "Hallmark" movie on cable I'd probably switch it off thinking it couldn't be possible. Bless all the girls on both teams for their loving kindness. RIP Lauren.
This is why I liked sports and why I joined a team as an analytic personeel. To show sportsmanship when needed and people just learn themselves that if you play in sport, all you gotta do is show sportsmanship and everyone will care, forget about the score sometimes.
The story made me cry. I'm bout to have a baby girl and I couldn't hold it. My prayers to her family. I know I'm 6 years late but her memory lives on. 🙏
God Bless her family no parent wants to bury their children it's supp to be the other way around ! Best sportsmanship I've ever witnessed ! Pro ball should learn from this ! May she R.I.P
Love your children.....SEE THEM. Before they are gone. Or you are gone. I thought my sons Leukemia battle was bad, but I saw the terminal cases while we lived there for 2 years. Never forget any of it.
That is so cool, but this is what we are to do Those girls are amazing and should be so proud! God Bless them all and never forget what you have done Hugs to you all
I retired from the USN, 20 years active duty. I had a Head Trauma in 1997, ten years into my carreer. within two weeks i was back to full duty. from heart surgery as a baby to cancer before i was 25 to head trauma at 28 to diabetes to growing up with autism. My time in was a challenge unto myself. On my last ship,USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN CVN-72 i was the most guy with the most Quals in Deck Department. I was Honored to serve, i paid my child support of 19 years and paid for their mothers college education to get her Dr.Degree. I have not seen our sons in 19 years, since August 6 1999. when i transfered to Japan from Virginia.
hypithecal question to the HATERS, If you were dying of an inoperable form of cancer, like Lauren, would you happy about A) scoring points, B) center court celebration, C) opposing team clapping, D) all the above. I do not know what your answer would be, my answer is d becuase I know what a class act is when I see one.

What did Jenner do to deserve the honor. Nothing at all.

The opposing team was amazing, moved the game forward, and surrendered home court advantage. An amazing group of young ladies.
