I like to take the pie filling and put it in egg roll wraps then you can freeze them , take them out as you need them. Air fry, in the oven or deep fry
That is an awesome idea. I don't like pies because of the crust.
Thank you for sharing your DT haul with us.
That sounds so good!!!
Matches?😊
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Hey! I'm 7 decades old, and I still like coloring books. I found some cool horse coloring books so I bought two! 😊
I have a couple of the "advanced" coloring books from there. I haven't tried them out yet.
Have you heard bout the $ 🌲 wearhouse in Oklahoma was hit by a tornado? I wonder how that will affect things for the stores.
Great haul! I also stocked up on some crossword puzzle and word search books. I try to get a few whenever they get new ones in.
Entertainment in a SHTF scenario is very important. Besides cards, I bought Yahtzee and made a bunch of copies of the score cards. Bought some extra dice. Good to go very low thinking game to have fun.
Great idea about making copies of the score cards in case the power is out and you can’t use a copier and getting extra dice too. Games that need parts like dice might not be useable if the parts and pieces are lost.
Supplies might become scarce at Dollar Tree...you see where that massive warehouse in Oklahoma got annilated by the tornado.
Q
😂
More excuses to raise prices.
Hint: 😂 the 99 Cent Only Stores tried it.
Now they're bankrupt! Dollar Tree 🌳 stores are following 😂 the same mistakes. Guess what? Their bankruptcy isn't far off.
Q❤
Thanks, Jinne. Good haul.
In any other store your Dollar Tree haul would have cost $100. You’re an amazing shopper!!!😮
Q
I agree 👍 💯

Hi Jinne, this is a great haul! I didn't know about the macaroni having extra in it. I'm going to town tomorrow and I hope to find it in my local Dollar Tree.
The cherry pie filling is delicious as a cheesecake topping.
The only thing with the cherry pie filling is that it has high fructose corn syrup, "corn syrup"which is usually GMO and red dye #5 which has been on the list for years as negative additive, some people get even allergic reactions to it.
I bought some of that canned cherry filling just on her recommendations not reading the labels which I usually do, but won't buy again. I had some cherries in the freezer so I canned my own cherry pie filling, used organic cane sugar and didn't need to add dyes and it also tastes great and no worry about eating something with negative ingredients.
We have to be careful about just buying on the recommendation that it just tastes good. The gov't is making so many substitutions to ingredients that can affect your health and no one wants to be sick at any time but especially during a SHTF situation.
Thanks, Jenne! My husband had wrist surgery, and i found a small round ice pack at DT. He just loved it, and it didn't sweat either.
Our Winn Dixie had bogo canned tomatoes and beans last weekend. It was limit 12 so I went on Friday alone and my husband went with me Saturday and Sunday. We spent a little over 35.00 but we have 60 cans of mixed types of tomatoes and beans!
Dollar tree used to have King James Bibles in their book section, haven't seen any for the last year or so, do have any idea of why? I bought a dozen or so, to give to people who didn't have one, and couldn't afford the big ones at the Bible bookstore...many blessings to you and everyone!
You probably need to ask the store manager why the bibles disappeared, most of the employees wouldn't know.
I noticed the same thing, they had them at one time but not now. Can't be a supply chain issue unless it's intentional not to produce more of them and then to buy and sell them at these stores.
Our Methodist thrift store gives out bibles for free. Have also seen them at other thrift stores very inexpensive. Worth a try if you have some near you. Our $tree had some not too long ago.
I love your shirt and your hair looks great!
As far as entertainment, I have found puzzles and games at thrift stores, and my library has books cheap, as well as puzzles and DVDs
I thrift store shop too and often you can find brand new puzzles, games, craft kits and books very well priced. On the games, kits and puzzles look for ones that are factory sealed so there’s no parts or pieces that have removed.
Hello friends I found the matches shown here in this video for 97 cents a pack I grabbed 3 . I also found the box of larger matches also 97 cents a box . I love shopping videos. Thank you for sharing 👍
Love your hair! It looks beautiful. Always enjoy your vids❤
Darn it! I always forget about safety pins, until I need one but still forget to buy some!! I also need to pick up some sewing kits, but safety pins are going on my list right now!
I think that's a Great haul for $35, & a Great mix of items.👍
TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤🙂🐶
Always a great selection, Jinne!
Your fire starters reminded me if when young housewife I ran out of matches and lit some uncooked spaghetti on and electric stove. Walla...flame..lol
Very nice haul! I haven’t been in a $Treefor a while, I really need to get in there before the next price increase! You always find great ideas to inspire, and I really really appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos. Thanks for all you do!❤️🇺🇸
Coconut oil can last up to 18 months-2 yrs once opened.
A few locations in Mississippi have raised many of their 1.25 prices to 1.50-1.75, $2, $3 and $8. Very few items are 1.25 in Hazlehurst Ms. Those reading glasses/sunglasses are now 1.50.
Jenny I buy the large coconut oil and put it in pint jars that I vaccum seal. I have jars that a 4 yrs old and they are great.
Always have a pen and paper handy when you do your hauls have a lot of the same but you always have 1 or 2 things that I don’t have.or haven’t thought of. Thank you❤️
I got checkers, crayons and game boards for grandkids. Thanks Jinnie😊
I love the size of those lighters!
Jinne … u should check yer local Walmart for them exact same matches… my local Walmart sells them for 97 cents plus tax and it’s EXACTLY the SAME … nice haul tho ❤
Our Dollar Tree store has been charging $1.50 for the reading glasses for probably close to a year now.
I love the cherry pie filling..the cans at the local grocery store was almost $5 a can.
love these never stop
I like those little coconut oils as well. They are great for making homemade granola. They add an almost sweet taste to it without adding sweetener. Very tasty with vanilla and cinnamon and coconut oil . I usually just add quick or regular oats, nuts and dried fruit.
Ours charges $1.50 for glasses!
Great video! I made a visit to the DT on my only day off this past weekend. Bought the pasta myself. I would be very careful about the use by dates. Seemed a lot of things were Sept of this year in my store.
Great haul!
We had tornadoes and the dollar tree warehouse for our area got destroyed. I'm waiting to see if they rebuild. Their trucks were even thrown across the interstate. With them closing stores and raising prices I don't know if we will get to keep our dollar trees.
Another great haul, but Jinnie I am shocked you didn’t have your first aid piece LOL
I really like your shirt! This is a nice, variety haul. Thanks for sharing!
Where I am from we have a couple stores that they have a lot of this stuff cheaper then the Dollar Tree. Thank you for the great ideas
This world is crazy. At Walmart you can get a pound of pinto beans now for a dollar, however a pound of lentils it’s $2.97. I didn’t believe it so I had the guys scan it. It was true for a pound bag of pinto beans it’s a dollar for a pound bag of lentils it’s $2.97! I also noticed at Walmart this week is that their herbal teas have gone down to lower than Amazons price. That’s amazing because Amazon has always been a dollar cheaper now you can get all but one type of herbal tea for less than $3.50 at Walmart. So I stocked up, I like herbal tea not just for medicinal but I like it just to drink. Especially cold in the summertime!
If someone ever needs marches….they know who has them!!! LOL😂
I always enjoy your videos!
I use dollar store reading glasses to read in bed. Saves my bifocals getting bent
We've heard that at the register the prices are higher than on the shelf and they don't tell you and maybe don't notice until you get home.
Yes, the parchment paper saves my cookies too. 😄 Good haul, thanks.
I like to sprout the lentils and just eat them!
Some nice deals! Thanks for sharing
Hi Jennie , awesome show! I'm new to your channel and was hoping that you might have put your extensive knowledge into a book? With the way the world is going I'm trying to get as much information as I can in written form in case we lose power and the internet? Thanks😊
That's a pretty decent haul! I'm going to have to look for that pie filling. I don't like the Comstock brand that Walmart carries, it's just gross to me, so maybe the stuff at Dollar Tree is better. I also collect games even though it's just the two of us here, just in case my kids come this way. I am really happy they opened a new Dollar Tree nearby, the one they have in town is so small and crowded. Anyway, thanks for the reminders of some of the things I need to pick up.
Great ideas😊
Always looking 👀 for my reading glasses 🤓 and for $1.25 🎉great deal!!!
The eyeglasses are already $1.50….been that way since the beginning of the year.
Just used that cherry pie filling in a crock pot dessert last weekend ❤
What did you make in the crock pot? I'm always looking for ideas to play with.
I found a pk of crab meat in a pk like the tuna fish.
Love these! Ty!
The batteries are now $3 or $5 at our dollar tree stores here in Illinois 😢
The pie fillings can go on and IN waffles, or top sweetened cream cheese whipped with cream or sour cream and chilled.
I have been having trouble finding parchment paper at Dollar Tree.
I had a hard time finding just basic wax paper at DT too, it would be there and then not for months. Don't know why their stocking is so hit and miss. Be sure to read the labels for the pie fillings, they have high fructose corn syrup and red dye. They might taste good but not worth it if the ingredients are bad for you.
Thanks Jinny. I pretty much grab everything you grab too at the $ tree lol and we love that pasta too😊
Great shopping trip! Thanks!
Good haul Jinnie!
Great haul! The DT around the corner from my house is “Temporarily Closed”. I’ll check out the one in the other side of town
I picked up a few cans of Diced potatoes at our Dollar1/4 Tree for when I make your Ham and Potato Casserole. Don't think I have ever seen them there before. Also got some Velveeta cheese (Original) sauce.
Good stuff , Thank you Jinne
Thanks!😊
Thanks Jinne
Hello have a good evening.
Love your hauls. Thank you so much
You did well! I love the packets of salmon. I eat one for lunch with a side salad but in the winter I have one with a chicken cup of ramen noodles. I’m full enough that I never eat the fruit cup that I brought.
Thanks!
I have done bread pudding in the crockpot, and I throw a can of cherries or an apple or blueberry in it and then leave it. Let it cook all day and then my father-in-law will have it during the week with our coffee he hast to have sweet with his coffee, but I found an easy crockpot recipe for bread pudding, and I started putting a can of either cherry apple or blueberry… I buy from the dollar tree as well
That's a great idea!
I have to try this! Thank😊
I bought 4 bags of rice last year and when I got home and put them in jars they were full of worms.
That can happen anywhere you shop…worms are worms.
Maybe check online and see if other consumers have had the same complaint about that brand of rice. I've never gotten rice with worms in it but sounds like it was stored very poorly. Please let us know the brand name so we can watch for that pest in the rice.
Oops sorry I found all those matches at Walmart. So sorry I forgot to say it was Walmart where I found the matches. My apologies
I got me some of those large matches for $.97. I couldn’t believe the price I’m going to put some more on my list.
@@supergg07 great scoop them up. 👍
Keep price comparing, the dollar stores no longer have the best prices. We find things on sale at our regular grocery store like the canned vegetables for less than Dollar Tree. Every dollar counts when you are budgeting.
Great haul ❤❤❤👍👍👍😊😊😊
I was at DT this morning and it was a mess. Not at all like it usually is. Boxes everywhere, deflated balloons, shelves not stocked. I only saw one employee and she was at the register, so not sure what is going on. As for the food section, I did notice some holes in the meats and saw some name brands that I hadn't seen before. They didn't have the $3 totes that I usually pick up, but did have $5 ones that looked smaller. In fact, I didn't see as many $3 items. Maybe they are getting ready for the price increases? I may go back later in the week and see if they are in better shape.
We had one not far from here sell the building and completely close. The others in the area are hit and miss, you can see how they take one item and spread it across one area to fill in, so you have a dozen packages of something of the same thing,in a line to try to fill in the empty spaces. They also are spreading out their craft items all over the store to fill in the empty spaces. They quickly sold out of garden supplies, so any that now are thinking about getting things like seeds will probably find them sold out.
The quality of their food products are something a lot are talking about, too many tiny sizes for the price and even name brand items say they have bioengineered ingredients. We have been able to find similar products at our own grocery store that have been on sale, don't have the negative ingredients and even cheaper, so we have to read labels and also need to price compare.
how do you store long term your brown rice?
Don't you get bored with the same choices? I wish they would get different stuff😊
Our Dollar Tree here have bigger stock in non food items like crafts and toys but because they aren't stocking as well in the food department, they also put the crafts on the end caps in the food aisle to fill in the spaces. They used to have a big wall of kitchen gadgets, now those are smaller too.
Do you decant the items that are not in long lasting containers?
