The average human couldn’t play ONE LIMB of what this front & center, lead-singer/drummer is doing, never mind SIMULTANEOUSLY singing!!!
Mr. BRADLEY POLAIN’S musicianship & contribution to HSCC is STELLAR, on a whole nother level.
Fellow UA-cam HSCC fans: please help acknowledge & thank BRAD for the joy & happiness that this man gives.
In the pocket quality dynamics and voice. Thank you sir for making this older drummer smile . Great bunch of people. Be safe friends
Nailed the performance, nailed the comment :-)
Well said :)
You are way too kind 🙏 Thanks so much.
Agree. Awesome work!
As a drummer myself who can't sing to save his life, I can only shake my head in amazement at Brad's ability to play drums and sing that well.
he is outstanding, his backing vocals wow, and great to see him take the lead vocals.
Thanks so much! You are too kind 🙏
And as a tenor man who can't play a soprano to save his life, I am in similar amazement at Jason's tonal mastery on that little devil of a horn.
Practice, practice and more practice. Really excellent
But can you spin the stick in you fingers though?
As a drummer who has played this song in a previous life, playing and singing simultaneously with such style and groove, simply fantastic. I bow down.
Too kind 🙏
I just basically wrote the same comment As you did... great playing. Tristan Greene New York
oh yesss! I never can sing! Maybe in next life ! kkkk
Indeed he did it so well
Finally music on UA-cam, the instrumentals are out of this world. Wow everyone sings. Greetings from Bucharest.
You all make this American grandma tap my toes and leave me breathless. You all are the best!!! Love you guys!!!
Me too grandma,am not grandpa but 61,they are really good .
That’s cute
Second that Granny! 71yo American grandpa tapping toes also. Rock on . Best Wishes!
OMG... Everyone is an excellent singer in HSCC, drummer, pianist, bassist and guitarist... and the sax player, I don't know, but he was awesome too.
This is just beautiful! Thank you! When I hear Jason McMahon play that saxophone I am immediately reminded about how much better so much of 80s pop music was when the saxophone was a regular instrumental staple. Its rare that this instrument is utilized in modern pop music, and modern pop music is impoverished as a result. My compliments also go out to the drummer/vocalist, Bradley Polain. I always stand in awe of drummers who, on top of maintaining their tremendous dexterity, can sing well too. People like Phil Collins and Don Henley come to mind as some of the rare individuals who can accomplish this feat. On top of this being an excellent cover, I love the timeliness of this cover because it really speaks to the alienation felt by so many, whether they are an immigrant or not.
He is a great saxophonist! But if I'm not mistaken he's playing the clarinet in this piece! My grandfather taught music and played every instrument! But I could totally be wrong! Love this band! They're all great musicians!
@@annettecinquemanifalbo17 I don't know much about instruments, but the description under the title of this video states he is playing a "soprano saxophone"
@@alphacause gotcha! Thanks for the reply! Either way it sounds GREAT!!! LOVE ALL THESE GUYS!!
As a saxophonist, I agree with you. Need more sax and perhaps brass instruments in today's music. This is why Phil Collins is one of my favorite artist.
@@annettecinquemanifalbo17 It's a soprano saxophone -- it's in the same key (B flat) and approximate range as a clarinet, but has a different timbre due to its metal construction, vs. plastic or wood for a clarinet.
no me canso de escuchar esta versión!!! genios!!
Most non-musicians have absolutely no idea how hard it is to play drums and sing! It's f*cking hard! Which, explains why there are very few successful lead singers that play the drums...props to this gentleman!
i know right
I play keyboards/piano and bass..and I can sing. What I cannot do is sing AND play
@@Jimbo-gi7xn - I play acoustic/electric and keys. And strangely enough, I can sing while playing. Sometimes, I notice that the vocals actually kind of dictate the feel for the playing. It's kind of weird, but it works...
@@Snarkapotamus I can get that for sure.. i sing in my head when I'm playing
Englishman in New York with a Caribbean calypso flavor? The Lego band did it again. Perhaps Kat doing vocals could be the cherry on top of the ice cream. Congrats!
Caribbean and a bit of Latin, 😎👍
for me i ndont like this caribien flaver.... but the drummer and singer are real good...
@@rainergoertz2070 Then I guess you wouldn't like The Police or Sting -- many of their songs are influenced by Caribbean music, reggae in particular... Check out Sting & Shaggy's Tiny Desk Concert on npr music -- they turn it into "Jamaican in New York". Sting does another version with an African singer as well...
@@AndrewAMartin exactly that. Stings whole influence around that time was very reggae/Latin influenced.
Not to mention Snow's 90s rap hit Jamaican in New York....
"It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile" The boys gettin it done. Nice work!
An Aussie currently living in Ireland. So grateful guys for your releases very early on a Friday morning. A touch of home playing all my favourite songs by extremely talented musicians. Thank you 🙏💃❤️🥰
Bradley Polain is the best of the band ! All of them are very good but he plays the drums and sing and he so confident , I like also when sing a song of Phill Collins , he has nice voice .Bravo.....
Im a south australian in new south wales listening to south australians in south australia sing about an englishman in New York. And loving it.
I've said it many times before, but it's still true: I *love* this arrangement. It's always wonderful to hear how you all make each sound unique and your own. I always look forward to my weekly dose of HSCC.
Such a groovier version than the original, so good!
And Brad is fantastic! Plays the drums and sings perfectly!Con is hitting the bass with authority!
As a drummer I love how he keeps the hi hat very simple, BUT has lots of soft ghost notes on the snare. Keeps it moving, but strong back beat. Such a GROOVE.
Thank you 🙏
Is there anyone in this band who can’t sing 🎤
Great job guys
The grove is mesmerizing like you are being captivated by the brand of music that never fades.
Hi guys, lying here in hospital in Melbourne and I forgot what day it was.. Friday is HSCC day. Thanks for the uplifting music.. Stay safe, stay well. Regards Michael (an Englishman in Victoria)
Hope you are feeling a lot better by now and are on the road to recovery.
Only discovered this band tonight while trawling for some music in the absence of gigs. Phenomenal! So talented and versatile.
Best regards from south London.
@@sarac.3259 thanks for your good wishes. Unfortunately the vaccine seems to have caused other problems so a bit frustrated at the moment. Glad you enjoyed the HSCC group of musos, hey really are talented. Take care and stay safe.. Michael
@@michaeldeane9029 That's nice of you to reply. Sorry to hear you're not right yet..... fingers crossed you will be soon.
This talented people bring us together with beautiful music to forget about our problems in the world may all be healthy. Thank you for sharing. Cheers!
Always knew the drummer has a great voice by his backup vocal in other songs. Indeed he does. More to come please.
Incredible interpretation - tip my hat to the talented drummer
awesome!
This had to happen. Bradley in the spotlight is so overdue. Amazing backbone of this amzing band.
This got my morning going, mates! I was sashaying to the beat around the kitchen with coffee in hand. It made a mess, but it put a big smile on my face! Many thanks from a Pinoy in Taipei, Taiwan. 😘💕
Even before I listen to this, I know I will LOVE it!!! Sting and HSCC rock!!
Always incredible to see drummers sing like that
I wake up this morning.I See the best Coverband Ever had a new Song for this Week. Your Songchoice is so Great. All the Musicans Amazing. Thank you All so much🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
GUYS, you are like king midas, everything you touch turns to gold..
You guys are crazy ... You are pure gold. The Best in Cover
Everything about this is brilliant, but easily overlooked are Sam’s wonderful jazzy guitar fills - I couldn’t work out where that haunting muted sound came from for a while, until I watched his hands...
I couldn't even figure out what was coming out of the guitar until I watched Producer Nerds video.
OMG didnt know the drummer could sing... Awesome!
Love the Otto Link mouthpiece on the soprano sax by the sax player. It's the same mouthpiece I use on my soprano sax. Nice playing. The drummer perfect Sting imitation. The whole rendition was amazing. Fabulous as usual best cover band in the world.
Wilmar Pimentel: Rio de Janeiro Brasil .Parabéns para essa banda HSCC., Que todas as quintas feiras nos presenteia com lindas melodias. Sucesso sempre. Um grande abraço de um fã a distância.!!!!!!!!!
wow... the best cover that i ever heard
I can only smell the coffee and the hear the lovely music and I am an alien in England! 👍❤
I have only ever heard the Drummer joining in with others ------Harmonizing. This is my first time that I have heard him sing solo plus. He is not only an expert drummer but also an unreal singer with a top voice.
Dont forget they use multiple drummers. Mario is the one that usually harmonises only.
Soy mexicano!! Su trabajo me encanta qué gusto escuchar con sus arreglos esta ola de música fenomenal, los felicito!!!!
So brilliant!! A big shout out to the drummer. Keeping in time and swinging it.
Wow - this is a great version beautifully recorded with great musicians. The drummer's voice was spot on for this song!
The Brad throwin down world class on the skins AND vocals AND stick twirling. Is there nothing this man can't do!
It’s perfect. Wonderful moment with you. Thank you guys 😊👏🏻👍🏻
Boys Down under doing great justice to the great Englishmen. Absolutely Brilliant. Respect
Finally, drummer singing and up front and centre. Killer vesion guys. Loved it.
No need to to write a paper on this! Three words will suffice! " This was great!"
The best ending of Saint George day, books and roses in Catalonia, and of course music!
Every drummer has a good voice! Basic rule!
❤️❤️❤️
Finally Bradley starring. Nice cover again. Although I missed the jazzy and heavy rock bars after the bridge. But still well done. Grtz from a Dutch drummer.
Just wonderful! Loved it all, a little Jamaican flavour, and some smooth sax as well. Great to see everyone smiling and playing at the end!
best cover band on the PLANET.end of story.
Superb! What a funkin' groove! Stick spinning should be an Olympic sport.
drummer/singers are a very special breed. Excellente!
the voice of the drummer is fantastic !!!
My favourite band to date .. you guys are AWESOME... ✨⭐️✨
I just pick a clip at random, knowing that whatever appears on screen will be nothing short of brilliant.
Hopefully, this is the first of many Police covers... Wrapped Around Your Finger, Spirits, King of Pain, I Burn For You... Great cover!
HSCC has also done Roxanne, with Jordan Lennon on lead vocals.
This is a example of perfect . timing is perfect voice perfect everything is perfect.Tim from Australia.A1
wow!!! amazing... thanks gain!!! 😌 good vibes from 🇧🇷😉💚💛
Man, this song kicks. Sax player's got it goin' on (as does the whole band).
Singing drummers are extremely fascinating! Hi again from Nashville!
Singing while playing a percussive instrument including the bass is probably one of the hardest gigs out there. Some do it effortlessly and i take my hat off to them while being extremely jealous 😁
Dang just discovered HSCC and played "Just the two of us" up and down for 2 weeks now. This song is gonna also be played millions and billions of times!
Class and Groove at the same ✔
I forgot how much I love this song! I'm born and raised in NYC, and lived in England quite a bit, so it hits home! Thank you... Wonderful!
Wow. Very nice. Loved the sax...Great job on the vocals, Bradley; especially being able to sing and play the drums. I can barely walk & chew bubble gum. Excellent job, everyone...
Playing drums and singing so well - what a talent!
Good music doesn't have an expiration date. This is good.
Oh, you guys crack me up! Not many ppl can pull this song off... of course you guys can. Nice to finally hear Bradleys voice in solo... quite the surprise.
Great groove...and the dog just snoozes through it all when he should at least be tapping his paws!
love you guys!
So... PERFECTION exists✌️BRAVO 👏 simply the BEST cover I have ever heard in my life
I've lost count of the number of times I've listened to it watched this clip. Tonight's the first time I've realised Darren had to be careful he doesn't step back into the snoozing Labrador! Typical Lab - 'This is my spot and here's where I'm sleeping!' (I grew up with Slobbadors, so am well versed in their habits. 😉)
Brilliant! Love u all guys. I want more songs singing by the drummer.
In my book so far the best cover of the song
Jason on the sax is amazing.
HSCC for the win!!!! i love Sting and i surely love this flavor!!!!!
😲🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁Jaw-dropping musicianship who play off of each other and look like they are having the best of their time 2gether. I'm on an island in Hawaii and I am loving you guys and gals, immensely. Thanks for sharing your prodigious talents👏👏👍
Nice guitar contribution from Sam Leske 🎸🎸🎸🎸
This blew me away. Wow 🤩
Very fine performance ❤❤❤❤❤I believe Sting would approve.!!
I'm speechless!!!! You guys hit it out of the ballpark with this one!!!
If this band where a cake, the soprano sax would be the icing!! Big shout out to the drummer/vocalist Superb

great singing drummer, great at both.
The best Version....congratulations
Here goes HSCC unearthing buried treasure again and doing it in an inimitable style. You guys must leave these sessions walking ten feet off the ground saying man that felt soooo gooood. The electricity in that room must be amazing. (as is HSCC) Want to see just how virtuoso Brad is? Look up HSCC "Eye of the Tiger"...whew
What a pleasant surprise! You guys play Reggae music. This was very well executed. The drummer as the lead in this is pure genius. 🔥. Thanks to your music, I have a wonderful day everyday. If I feel down, I go to UA-cam to listen to HSCC, the best cover band in the world. All of you are talented!!
CAN DRUM CAN SING!! Underrated talent of the group and look forward to hearing a lot more of you!
I have to say another amazing performance. Mr. Drummer rocks!!!! Cheers mates..
Props to the sax-man.

Drumming and singing has always amazed me. It seems like it would be like rubbing your tummy while patting your head? I truly enjoyed this! 💕 sending love from Kentucky USA. Stay well friends!
