Hey there! Can you tell me about how you booked your flight ticket. In gulf air, i just see one flight which starts at 6am at Chennai and 17 hr long wait at Bahrain to Frankfurt. Gulf air seems quite good but the layover time is long
Im pretty sure they didnt just give you 2 croissants for breakfast. They do have choice for egg and pancake if im not mistake since I've taken the same flight from bahrain

Germany me almost har public place pe WiFi Hota hai, frankfurt airport ke bahaar hi regional train stations Hai, bohot log akele travel karte Hain par ek friend hoga toh accha Hai pahli baar ke liye, Mera private house accommodation thaa, toh direct gar chala gayaa, student dorms I guess specific days pe hi keys deta Hai to woh check karlo. Hope it helps.

The flight I booked departed Chennai at 9:35 PM and had a one and a half hour layover. I think this flight is only available during weekends.

Germany has public wifi almost everywhere, so you could call them via WhatsApp

Yeah the student allowance allows extra 9 kgs in check in bags, you have to show your student visa and admission letter at the check in counter.
