- When you break up with someone, you can be left with a lot of unanswered questions… was it something you did? Were they the problem? Were you? One woman has decided to solve this by creating an exit interview for her ex’s to fill out after they part ways! Real fam, would you ever do this?

CLOSURE ISN’T ALWAYS AN OPTION.
Many females tend to think that it’s necessary in order to move on (I was one of them) but unfortunately there are partners that refuse to participate in the process. The real period of enlightenment should ultimately start with y o u - first mistake we make as women is allowing our growth to be determined on a man’s opinion of who we are/should be. Coming to the understanding that clean breaks aren’t always possible and going through the journey of self-realization is the best thing we can do for future healthy relationships.

I feel that in a lot of failed relationships closure is used as a way to hold on to false hope that one day your ex paramour will love you. I think that women and men should look at break ups as a blessing because God has a better version which is the real thing and not the mediocre version of what you were settling for in previous relationships.

What Jeannie said is huge! I think my past relationships and how they ended have everything to do with why I am not in a relationship today. I self talk a lot and remind myself I am not every man's cup of tea. I can be exacting, compulsive, judgmental and rigid. Most men aren't looking for those attributes in a woman or partner.
An exit interview is pointless. Closure is a personal thing and can only be achieved by u, no amount of info or details will do this.

I think the exit interview is a great idea! People might not feel comfortable telling you what went wrong and being completely honest face to face because they might not be the confrontational types. Also, it doesn't mean she's insecure. She can choose whether to make the changes they suggested or not.

Simple and plain, yes. I used to be about the long drawn out communication thing for closure with regards to friendship or romance. But, there comes a time when you get tired of discussing the same thing or observing someone exhibit ridiculousness they said they would stop or work on ages ago. So, in my opinion, communication that occurs merely for the sake of talking with no real resolution or improvement coming forth is not true communication. It's B.S. that is a waste of time and energy. Which means it's time to move on.

I got my closure two years later when we messaged each other again and he explained everything and after that, we tried it again soon after but I realized I didn’t love him anymore, nor want him so I left.

I do an informal exit interview. It can be in conversation to get what you need if you ended things with them on good terms.
Sometimes women and men think too much of it and are too much spending time in their feelings. If you break up in a horrible way, meaning from one day to another they don't talk to you anymore. Just let it go, don't start going after that person and basically being a stalker. You're wasting your precious time, instead just enjoy your life.
If you both didn't broke up and all of a sudden one person doesn't respond anymore. I suggest you could just call the person or send a letter asking if something is wrong or ask them to call you back. After you did that, just live your life. If you don't hear from that person, don't keep buggin them and move on. You're better then that person. Don't drop yourself to their level. Cause else your ex, that person is calling you a crazy person.
Sometimes even though you may think you're ready to know the truth, you're not. I know for me, I'm a very sensitive man. It may not seem like it. I do would want to know but most of the time, if you're a sensitive person and you would get an answer. If that answer then would be "hurtful", it will sting a bit. I would be mad for getting/letting in my feelings but I would be glad that I would know why.
Just let people go on about their business. That's life ladies. Let it be.

A guy exited my life without telling me anything and I wanted closure. But I had to just understand that he was a jerk and let it go. Sometimes you’re not going to have closure. Just move on, Katie.
I had an ex just text me we were done because we moved to fast for him, I was blindsided, we weren’t fighting, we had a great weekend, then this happened 7 AM through a text and a week later he was back with his Ex! So clearly he wasn’t telling me truth which hurt because The guy who was everything to me didn’t respect me enough to tell me the truth! I focused on myself and moved on, Then a month and half later he wanted me back and said he messed up. I didn’t go back! That was like back in 2014. Now here in 2018, I’ve been with a new guy for almost 3 years and we are engaged! :)

I think sometimes you just have to be okay with moving on without an explanation. Even though it would be helpful to know why something didn’t work out as a lesson, realistically no one is obligated to give an explanation if they don’t want to.
