I TRULY ADORE WITH ALL MY HEART HOW GENE WAS HANDLED IN THIS SHOW, instead of wasting time building a predictible plot twist, we instead know his full story, motivations & true identity since the begining, allowing the show more time & opportunity to flesh ouy him & his personality, LOVE that there are episodes in s1 were he ONLY appears as Gene(not as Mandarin) spending time / hanging out with the main trio as his friend, that only makes more heartbreaking the moment were both Tony & Gene betray each other 🐉💛
Before watching, just want to say, love how Rhodey totally "moms" Tony in the first episodes when he's sneaking out, fighting villains and not focused on his school work. XD I love their friendship. Busy with other stuff, atm, but super excited to watch this when I get home! Three hours will be a blast!
Oh, also, in the credits his name is listed as "Jim" instead of "James", thought that was interesting. Typo or on purpose? Idk. **Edit, they put Rhodey's name as "Jim Rhodes" instead of "James Rhodes"... So, either typo, or I've been getting his name wrong for the past ten or so years.
I don't know if it's true, but I like to think the new Ultimate Universe Ironlad (a younger Anthony/Tony) in Marvel comics took inspiration from this show.
This show made me appreciate character dynamics, all of them are smart but Tony is the most booksmart, pepper is the emotional center who butts heads with the others most out of concern and love for them, as the show itself says, they’re like family, and Rhody is the in between, the “mom” as other comments call him, he always sees both sides and tries to temper Tony’s expectations of success and peppers expectations of Tony to bring himself down to a “normal” level like her, and she needs to explain purposefully in order for Tony to understand some of what she’s saying, and that’s ok, not to mention Gene playing off all of them and having devious bisexual energy in so many scenes with Tony, obviously not love or anything but he always had the face of “your so damn annoying, the cute face and nice brain are the only reason I’m still here” when they were along early on, it’s really really great for all of them because they make the core of the story for a long time
On the topic of a teenage iron man, i think it would be marvels best bet for rebooting the character in the mcu, especially with their plan to merge the multiverse at the end of secret wars, a teenage iron man from another universe could work, it creates a more comic accurate dynamic between Tony and peter Parker, and it would be less seen as a replacement for rdj legacy in the mcu, and probably wont have to redo the original story
Or they could make what the new Ultimate Universe made, were Peter, being a 30 year old, constantly mistrust Tony because at first he sees him as a rich reckless teenager, despite Tony was the one who gaved him their powers
@@Venxous I hope so, Batman: the Animated Series deserves our breakdown treatment; what makes his the best Batman, what makes his villains, what makes the universe he started, for Kevin Conroy
Only ten minutes in to watching, but got some timestamps for parts I'm especially excited for. XD @1:0:12 -- Black Panther episode @1:49:57 -- Hulk episode @2:36:51 -- Dr. DOOM episode

Ultimate Marvel 2024: ¿Are you sure about that, Buddy?
@ Yes, not written by Jack and Stan!!!
@@CT9905.neither Stan Lee nor Jack Kirby created Iron Man, he was created by Don Heck & Larry Lieber 🤦♂️
