"The song ‘rokh-e golgoon’ was familiar to my years although I have never been in possession of a recording of this song. It was probably between 1996 and 2000 that the legends of Logari music, Biltoon and Salam Logari, came to San Francisco Bay Area to perform in concerts and I was lucky to be invited to a private music venue where they performed live. Biltoon has always been one of my favorite singers; and, I consider Biltoon to be one of the most prolific vocalists in the history of Afghan music. That evening was memorable in many ways for me as Biltoon and Salam Logari sang several songs as duet, and singing with the traditional Afghan instrument ‘tanbur’ by Biltoon was very unique and something I had never experienced before. ‘Rokh-e golgoon’ was one of the songs Biltoon performed on that occasion. Biltoon’s delivery of this song left a lasting impression on me due to the emotionally cheerful and elegant vibe he created when singing ‘rokh-e golgoon’. My performance of this song is a kind of remembering and recreating the joy I felt when Biltoon performed it - Toryalai jaan’s performance on tabla demonstrates yet another masterful and unique twist to the songs that lends our performance flavors known and novel at the same time. I would like to think of my performance of both songs on this occasion as a dedication to Biltoon’s memory and the blessing he brought to us with his voice and music throughout his life as a superb singer and ‘tanbur’ player."

"آهنگ «رخ گلگون» از سالها بگوشم آشنا بود، اگرچه هیچوقت ضبطی از این آهنگ را نداشتم.
احتمالاً بین سال‌های ۱۹۹۶ و ۲۰۰۰ میلادی بود که دو آواز خوان ناب و یکتای موسیقیٔ لوگری، شاد روان بیلتون و سلام لوگری، برای اجرای کنسرت به منطقه سانفرانسیسکو، کالیفورنیا، آمدند و برای من فرصتی نیک دست داد که ایشان را از نزدیک در یک محفل خصوصی بشنوم. شاد روان بیلتون همیشه یکی از آواز خوانان مورد علاقهٔ من بوده است - من بیلتون را یکی از نخبه ترین آواز خوانان در تاریخ موسیقی افغانستان می دانم. آن شب از بسیاری جهات برای من خاطره انگیز بود زیرا شاد روان بیلتون و سلام لوگری چندین آهنگ را به صورت دو گانه اجرا کردند و آواز خوانیٔ شاد روان بیلتون با «تنبور» برایم بسیار جالب و آموزنده بود. آهنگ ”رخ گلگون“ یکی از آهنگ هایی بود که شاد روان بیلتون درآن گرد همآ یی اجرا کرد. اجرای این آهنگ توسط بیلتون با حال و هوای شاد ولی سنگین و دلنشین تأثیر ماندگاری بر من گذاشت. اجرای من از این آهنگ و آهنگ ”انار دانه نداره“ هم خاطرهٔ حال و هوای آنشب را در خود دارد و هم نموداریست از علاقهٔ من به این شیوهٔ موسیقی در افغانستان - توریالی جان با شیوه وذوق نواختن و مهارت خود در طبله نه تنها تازگی به این دو آهنگ بخشیده است بلکه حال و هوا و رمق ومزهٔ از گذشته ها را نیز به خاطر می آورد. دوست دارم این دو آهنگ را به یاد بود از شاد روان بیلتون و آنچه در موسیقی برای ما به عنوان یک آواز خوان عالی و نوازنده تنبوربه ارمغان آورده است به دوستداران اینگونه ساز و موسیقی اهدا نمایم. "
