I know, it’s a niche category which is also good as there’s less crowd at the track, only passionate people and an healthy place where you can talk freely about cars and drivers. I went to Imola for GTWC EU two weeks ago and it was fantastic even compared to an F1 event, great races and people.
I have a feeling that they will consistently grab points. I say this as someone who doesn’t read spoilers and only watches the races when I can, and often quite after the fact.
Man, talk about technical issues (10:42) for the #93 Edge Car, what about that pitlane camera with the massive blur/condensation spot in the centre of the picture!
GT America is a sprint race for amateur drivers. This is a longer-distance race and there's a mix of Pro and Am drivers here in different combinations. This series is the main event, GT America is a support race and in a way a stepping stone to this series.
The driver categorizations are all wrong in this series - only Pepper, Caldarelli, Ellis, Altoe, Spinelli and Farnbacher have real Pro pace. So the Pepper/Caldarelli car should be practically alone in Pro, the cars of Ellis, Altoe, Spinelli and Farnbacher in Pro-Am, and everyone else in Am. The only reason the guys didn't finish in this order as the top 5 cars is because it's almost impossible to overtake for GT3s in Sonoma. (And because of the issues for Farnbacher's Acura.)
how can teams change categories mid race anyway? what the hell is that about? so unprofessional of the championship, they don't even know what categories the teams belong in
So now i see a very obvious push for women in motorsport.. just makes me wonder how much help they get financially and promotion to get in there just because they are women .. can i get a free GT season too ? please ? thats so unfair and wrong.
Well women are underrepresented in motorsports and there's no reason why they should be. And as it seems that without doing anything about it women just somehow don't end up there, I don't mind doing something about it. After all, it's not really like they wrongfully take up seats from others, especially when here they are the am drivers in pro-am combinations.
@@theflagstand"" it seems that without doing anything about it women just somehow don't end up there"" what you just said is the only truth that should matter. Women in general dont like or want to be a professional racing driver but ALOT of men want that. Thats it thats the only reason theres no women in the sport. Theres NO unfair advantages given to men they just get there by being FAST. But now they are forcing new female drivers in amateur academy and giving so much resources just because they want women in the sport. Tbf, all 3 female racers made up several positions in their stints. At one point, they had all jumped up the grid by about 5 positions each! They're good drivers, no doubt.
@@theflagstand Perhaps they are underrepresented because they lack the talent or drive to race gt3 cars? Why the hell does everything have to be socially engineered? There's not many (probably zero) one-legged Inuits into gt3 racing either, but I suppose we should just give them a seat.
So the fact that 95% race drivers are wealthy white males has nothing to do with socail engineering.Even within the sport it's common knowledge that it's not always the best drivers that make case in point Lance Stroll. Your point is ?.
I fon't know why, but I just csn't listen to american motorsports commenters. It's like you're watching Rodeo instead, while they simultaniously review Burgers from a nearby BBQ shack... Just the terminology alone ("scuff tyres")...
I understand what you are saying, but I also understand what they are saying haha. So, just leave it to what it is. I believe those of us in the states who like motorsport outside of NASCAR prefer a different sound. But, it's not always that way. So it is.
Oh, like David Croft is any better. All he is, is an excitable boy, yet he remains the primary F1 announcer. I have to turn off the sound when I watch F1 due to him. Same with Leigh Diffey, and a lot of others. They're put into place to create artificial urgency and excitement to get new audience to jump up and down in their living rooms.
Yes, i from Argentina and a i watch a lot of motorsport from Europe and usa, and the english commentators sounds very well but the americans just sounds so unprofessional, looks like a tv commertial everytime hahaha
I wish more people paid attention to GT3
Just see it as a hidden gem, if it was popular it would be monetized way more, thats not always better.

Don't worry, many MOTOGP fans are coming to see GT3
@@asop1245 nah, as soon as they’ll find out that it’s not an individual sport, they’ll lose the interest.

I miss the Volvos.

why there's no Audi racecar..?
What is the difference between this and GT America?
50 shades of GT3 cars, i guess
