Shes been really quite Jonny. When the Cuda stop stealing your rigs you know something is up! Looking forward to seeing your trip mate. Lots to explore up North. ☺
Nice video John, really shows that even the gurus have days like us mere mortals. Just had a huge storm here last week with major fish kills in my local river (Swan), just starting to pick up again, very slow going.
@@mylurebox did get motivated. But didn’t get on the water. Spent the day fixing boat trailer and fitting new hubs and bearings. And making some solid progress on the casting platform in the new boat. 👌
Good work mate no matter how good we are everyone has tough days just matter of perseverance and not take it to heart as you said its a learning day. Keep up the good work mate.
@@mylurebox do you find Jacks in the muddy stuff? I’ve been having some good success on surface gear (yes Mick’s lures, although slightly altered on the first treble) finding it best on the run out around the Coomera and saltwater creek with all this rain!
Hey mate, love your videos! Just wondering, I’m buying some bream lures in a week and want to know if you have any insight into what I should get. Thanks!
Bro! Get the lightly weighted soft prawns my MMD. And a light cranks crab in whatever is natural coloured to your system. Light line and maybe a small crank by Jackall or atomic and you’ll be fire dude. Some Zman grubs lightly weighted are a cheaper option also. Best of luck 🤞
been heavy rain around the tip of NSW in my local river which is normally overfished and now with this rain over the Easter holidays it really makes me sad :(
Good to see even the best of us have tough day but you are still skilled and confident enough to hook a few👌 Can you show us are share what 4lbs leader not ie slim beauty. Trying to tie the with aging eyes is difficult.
It’s mutual Fezzi !! How good were the stars days. Best ever eh. I’ve gotta get a houseboat hire when we get back from our trip and do a reunion out on the Broadwater a stone’s throw from where we used to train just for a good laugh eh.
Cheers Danny. I’ve put a review together but I’ll look to include that point if I can. Otherwise I’ll remove one and rest her out. Worth knowing for a review for sure
Cheers Anthony. I find the smaller flatties can be found round the drains copping the run off but it certainly makes it hard to find em over the flats and banks as usual
Hey Jai. It’s a Bream x by murasame rods. 4lb fluro right through. The rod is a game changer for me mate. The feel is like nothing I’ve held before. Brought my live if breaming back around to be fair.
The electric makes a difference. You can still get it done but you will certainly spook plenty of fish once you’re getting close. A second hand tiller steer electric that has the head spun around and is mounted up the front is a way cheaper option that I ran for my first 10 years of doing this sorta fishing. It gets it done for 1/10 of the price of a minn kota bow mount. ;)
Still one of the best fishing shows on UA-cam.. cheers John...
Awww mate thanks a lot. Stoked you enjoy it

Dear fisherman friend. Portugal is watching your videos. Good videos. Congratulations!
This is awesome. Thanks for watching :)

Might just have to go do this too. Morning motivation thanks mate.
Worth a shot round the boats mate. Good fun if they’re on the bite too.

Cheers Caino ;) definitely cop plenty of those learning days. The rain up here has been mad this Summer
With weeks of rain around Newcastle the rivers are brown. Holding off going fishing. So keen to test my new Kayak.
It turns me off too mate. Definitely makes it a challenge
Great work mate! Good to see I’m not the only one that gets a test score @ 2/500 casts 😂 Great to see the reality of it bud!
Hahaaa. Mate it’s often a slog no doubt about it ;)

Yeah mate. They’re still around in the dirty water. I like it did coloured but not full chocky. That said... will take whatever I can get. Hahaha

This is the first vid ive seen that looks like my days fishing, slow start then a bunch of bream haha
Thank God for Bream ;)

Mate my 4lb runs straight through so no braid join. It’s a tough one at such light line....
I love you johnyyyy!!!!

What rod is that Matt black one ? Looks good
Seen you got one of them new chase baits. Interested in how the fins on them are. If they can break off an if they do is the lure useless after?

Hi sir it is tim
Awsome video champion, What about flathead after heavy rain? do they also shut down till the water clears up or not , thanks, love these videos,

Thanks John,
Hey what is your bream setup that you used in this video

How did you turn the beeps on your electric motor off?
Hi Sam. Try holding the prop + and - buttons down at the same time and wait for a beep. Then try and see what happens ?? Hope that helps ;)
My city is crazy flooded rn
hey mate, been meaning to ask you how important do you reckon the electric motor is? could i do this with just an outboard ??

@@mylurebox that's a genius idea I'll have a look and see what I can come up with, thanks for that.
Mate I seriously rate it. We all frothed it as kids and I can pick em up for 100 bucks on marketplace, build a timber mount and you’re away. Easy as.
When the fishings tough use grubs
Cheers Alex. I’ll have to get them going more
