I was on my way to San Francisco when I came across this video and heard this lovely song. Now I can saw that I've been there and loved it completely! Now I'm in San Diego and completely loving it here, which is just a pit stop on my way to Hawaii! the is in love with me.
I have never heard of the this song. Beautiful. Nice pictures/video. My family has been in the same house for four generations. I love when people visit here and see what I see everyday. peace love
I'm italian... we have San Pietro, piazza del Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, San Marco, fontana di trevi... but nothing is like San Francisco... when I was leaving from there I was crying so much!!! It's fantastic... Not only the golden gate... everything there is fantastic... everything.
I love San Francisco. A part of my soul will always be there. I love this song. Maxime Le Forestier makes me want to learn French. I love the playful spirit of the ones who made this video. it always makes me smile. Merci, laure.
I miss San Francisco so much. I was there last month for 5 days before travelling the rest of California. the cable cars, the overcast weather, fishermans wharf, the GG Bridge, the PEOPLE.. Take me back pleeease!
i really love this song^^ i'm japanese and i was learning french from a radio when i was a high school student they introduced this song and this has been one of my favorite song ever since
Paris + San Francisco =
I am from San Francisco and I fell in love with a French woman in San Francisco! So hard. So hard. So sad. This song made me very song. Now the la Masion, is no even blue, they painted it.
When I was 10, I promised I'd move there. After college, my wife and I moved to the Haight and had a blast. Raised two children in the City and 25 yrs later find ourselves with an empty nest and falling in love with SF all over again each day. Hard to imagine, but I love it here even more today than I did as a starry-eyed 10 yr old.
I've resided in San Francisco since 2004 and I plan on living here for the rest of my life. The first trip I took here was at the age of 12. I remember that chilly overcast timelessness just like it was yesterday. We did the usual touristy stuff at Pier 39, after which we hopped on the Powell Street cable car at Taylor & Bay. It was on that cable car ride that I fell in love with San Francisco and this song by Maxime Le Forestier captures that moment perfectly (^_^).
i used to live in san fran before we moved here to brisbane australia and man there is nothing to describe it, its perfect in every way man i want to go back so bad :(
Our spirit of open thought is why we are one of the cities that lead progress in the US and world. It is why we are one of the most important intellectual centers in the world leading innovations in medical research, information technology, alternative fuel research, organic foods, biotechnology, cultural diversity etc, etc.
The whole SF Bay Area is just amazing. I live about 30 minutes BART ride east, beyond the Oakland/Berkeley hills, and our apartment building is surrounded by little (but still BIG) redwood trees. Wild turkeys and deer are in all the hills around us. We can drive 30 minutes north, and we're in wine country. 30 minutes east, we're on top of Mount Diablo. Expensive? Well heck yeah. And worth every penny.
Oh my god, I CAN'T wait to visit there! I live in Virginia and I'm planning to move there right after college. My aunt lives in Oakland and have been living there for more than 20 years. Lucky her!
Unlike many U.S. cities (and despite the earthquakes), San Francisco has gone to great lengths to preserve its colonial architecture. But the city feels "Mediterranean" for other reasons as well. The place is compact and intimate. It is 2 PM on a weekday. And the cafes are full of people reading newspapers, debating politics, and biting into slices of tiramisu. That is very un-American indeed. And so much the better for it. C'est Magnifique!
I'm not lucky enough to live in this wonderful city, but I am lucky enough to live about 2 hrs away and go there on some roadtrips... I love this city so much I got married there... yup, April 16th 2010 I was married in this beautiful city.. I love it so much!!
The opening shot shows a cable car. The two men turning the car are the gripman and the brakeman - in my youth, passengers were allowed to help turn the cars at the ends of the Powell-Hyde line. No more. The Municipal Railway also boasts trolleys (electric buses), streetcars, motor coaches (buses), and the largest collection of historic streetcars still in use, some dating from the 1910's and from all over the world.
a lovely video w/ a legendary song. We can be a bit small town in San Francisco, however the French culture is held in high regard by the people of San Francisco
It's amazing. I'm not a world traveller or anything, but I'm from the Bay. SF (please don't say "Frisco") is big but has a small a small town feel to it. It's very cozy. The fog is beautiful. Actually, I want to live in the UK. I've been in Portland for 5 years, so I am not accustomed to the rain...
I'm going to college next year in San Francisco, I'm completely psyched! Not sure what to expect. I've never lived in a city before and the closest to where I live is Salt Lake City. Going to be a brand new experience :)!
How can u hate San Francisco, gbmack2000? It's the geratest and most beautiful town of America. I was jst one time there, but it feels like I were there a thousand times. It's so great SF4EVER
I love Fogcity - i was always a globe-trotter - till arrived at the bay. I am writing on a book about my favorite city which is going to be published end of next year!
'cause this vid was posted by two French tourists who visited San Francisco in 2006. The song is about San Francisco, listen attentively at 0:36 and 1:26
i really want to visit this city too but im from ireland so it wont be very easy, would love to see new york too, good luck with your exams you seem pretty determined
San Francisco is a really nice city. It's a calm city by the sea. And Dirty Harry was awesome. I doubt I can find it, but can you please tell me that song's title?
i'm an sf native and i love my city. it's a very human place where good and bad things coexist. it breeds a very unique type of person and generally attracts a completely different type of person. million dollar houses can be found within less than a mile from housing projects resulting in a pretty realistic urban education for the majority of the youth here. there's gay people as well as homophobes, bleeding heart liberals as well as gun toting conservatives. i couldn't ask for a better home.
reminds me of my trip, anytime we talked to someone and told them we were from southern cali. they said that we must have brought the sun with us, because the 3 days we were there there was sun, then it went back to fog
Glad you had a good time in the city. I've lived here 35 years and still love it. I will often go to Fisherman's Wharf and hang around there because the tourist energy is so positive. Hope you can come back soon.
I love San Francisco! I dream of Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower, Alcatraz. And, above all, of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Cable Car. I want a house like this (not blue).

I love how this video really captures the feel of San Francisco.
I did exactly the same thing when I was in SF last week - now I wanna go back again. One of my favourite videos on UA-cam.
I watched this a hundred times before visiting SF, it's so nicely done, and found myself humming the song as I traversed the city. Brava and Grazie!
I love San Francisco. A part of my soul will always be there.
I love this song. Maxime Le Forestier makes me want to learn French.
I love the playful spirit of the ones who made this video. it always makes me smile.

Not a big fan of a U.S. city being sung in the French language.
But this was a nice applause for a magical city.
