I know Stockton had the widest high street in the country but I did not realise it was also the longest, it stretched all the way to Stokesley in North Yorkshire.
Remember Stockton from 60`s and 70's now a shadow of its former self. Market was much better down the middle of the High Street. Full of undesirables these days, seldom venture there now. Sad very sad my home town has become. Steve
The footage from 29 to 41 seconds is actually of Guisborough (Westgate). The Three Fiddles pub and Sunnyfield House Community Centre are both featured.
