Tekken 1 DEVIL KAZUYA Play-through On Ultra Hard

- Here is me getting my second best time, playing through with Devil Kazuya on Ultra Hard.
It'd be nearly impossible for me to beat my 1:17 with Heihachi (my top record) seeing as it was a complete one-off.

when heihachi threw kazuya from the cliff at tekken 1, kazuya grew up, won the tournament, defeated heihachi, and threw him out the cliff. in tekken 2, kazuya became the king of iron fist.
hmm...i have a question for you all, does anyone know how the "Devil gene" first spawn or how it was created?
Watching Tekken 1 makes me realized that a lot has changed from then till now.Good old memories

I was ten when this came out. I still recall the memories I had back then, thinking PS1 was the best console. Good thing i didn't choose Saturn and N64.
@SadeTryce Is your psp hacked? (does it have costum firmware?)
If so you can download and play ps1 games on your psp :P
i can't even unlock Devil Kazuya. That Galaga game is ridiculously hard, lol. Tekken 1 is a lot harder than its successors. I have trouble beating the game without using any continues, to unlock the sub bosses.
Considering Devil was an add on to the PS1 version, i do wonder why the designers made him look completely different from his design in Tekken 2. The only in-story explanation i've been able to think of that makes sense to me is that Kazuya hadn't yet been fully taken over by Devil.
The home port was released close to six months before Tekken 2 released in the arcades. He wasn't a fully realized idea yet.
i just used gameshark to unlock devil kazuya. i gave up trying to beat galaga. shit was impossible! thanks for the upload, great memories
im 14 but i remeber watching my two older brothers play this on the ps1. i miss those days...
That 3rd costume for kazuya was 1 of the things that i loved about tekken 1. The 2nd thing was that galaga minigame
I'll never understand why Tekken and Tekken 3 were never added to PS One classics.

Classic game, Love the tekken series, still have this game..still play it!
I know. What makes it strange is how they're transported to a new scene and the movement looks robotic like he's carrying out some everyday work. Then oop there he drops his grandfather and we zoom in to see what looks like a ventrioquist doll smiling to the camera, like he just did something slightly naughty in front of kids.
that has to be one of the most bizarre endings in any game yet.

First game I played on the PS.
What got me in the tekken series was the technology (one of the first crispy 3D graphics at smooth frame rates I've played), plus the techno music which was new to me and I loved, and also the smooth animations, it felt so realistic. It was like an honor to be playing this game. I had played virtua fighter before it, but I think I didn't understand virtua fighter, it seemed like a button masher to me. Not tekken though.
Nine fights in just a little over a minute and a half, very impressive! Nice to see someone else that uses the d/f+1,2 Double Uppercut (or Twin Pistons, as it's known by now) after a Rising Uppercut. Personally though, Demon Scissors is how I prefer to top off my Tekken 1 combos.

Laws face on the character select screen scared the shit outta me when I was little.
I love how Heihachi just slides off Kazuya's hands.

Too bad about Unknown and Ogre, True Ogre :( but i think that 40 characters will do it for me :) lol Dr. Boskonovich was so cool, if i remeberd it correct he couldt stand up or something. too bad he isnt in it XD

@TheEpicfail1010 He was thrown off a cliff pre-Tekken 1 by Heiachi. He made a deal with the devil to come back, win the tournament, and chuck Heiachi off a cliff. Kazuya and Devil were the bosses in Tekken 2 and were beat by Heiachi, who chucked Kazuya into a volcano. In Tekken 4 he was brought back to life by an evil company.
@K3lin actually she's irish and her level in tekken 1 is windemere, england.......but in tekken 2 i'm not sure why acropolis is her level...imma play it and see all the levels again before i make an assumption

@SebastianEduardoLeto Kazuya ran into Devil at the bottom of the cliff. That's how he survived his death as a child when he was thrown off and why he had the drastic change in personality. Jin was born with the Devil gene for the fact Kazuya had the Devil in his blood and soul while Jin was conceived. Basically Kazuya started the gene when he made the pact with Devil so any of his descendants have it by default without having to make their own pact with a Devil to obtain one. Jin's is his tattoo
Kazuya's grandfather which is heiachi, threw him off of a cliff when he was a child since he thought that he was weak, needless to say, he survived and got his revenge.

Is this the original setting for the music? I have the Tekken 5 version and it plays the unremixed kind. This is the same music they use in Tekken 2, except for Venezia

I keep forgetting Ken Nordeen voiced the announcer. I keep waiting for him to say:
"Kazuya wins...and on a very special episode of Happy Days, the Fonz learns what family is all about. This Friday on ABC."
If you manage to clear the first stage in under 18.5 seconds, you'll get dual ships, which helps immensely. It just takes a little memorization, and a lot of practice, but in the end, it's all worth it to finally be able to play as Devil Kazuya. Today marks the day I finally completed this difficult task.

i've wondered why i never knew about this game. i started playing tekken 2 in an arade when i was just 4 or 5, and much later i found out that tekken 1 came out when i was only 2 or 3 :)

What's the major difference between normal Kazuya and devil Kazuya in Tekken 1, besides appearance?
I NEVER thought Tekken would be the smash it is today after seeing Tekken 1 debut in '94. The characters looked so deformed and goofy! I was into Killer Instinct as well. Oh how immature I was, lol. Still got mad respect for T1 and the great games that followed it.

devil kazuya's power are double devil jin's power .
I think you have to unlock all the characters and cleared with all of them, them you can use devil kazuya as an eztra outfit for him, if I am wrong, please reply

Wow, how time has changed. This was my first game for the PS1 along with Wipeout and now I'm playing Wipeout HD and waiting for the release of Tekken 6.

can someone explain this to me: I've bought tekken 4 like 3 or 4 years ago and the first time i played there was an option like tekken classic and when i clicked on it i was able to play this tekken but the next i couldn't play tekken classic.
or was this just a dream?

how do you get D. kazuya? have all the characters except for him i thought you had to play with heihachi and finish his "playthrough" without losing once (same way you get heihachi) but that didnt work...
How did you get a perfect score on that galaga mini-game?
in order to unlock the devil version of this player, you must complete the little game that shows up as soon as tekken finishes loading up, before the main tekken screen, you see this game pop up, complete it, and go into the arcade mode of tekken and press start. you should be able to access him now.
@K3lin in tekken 2 they arent random but in the first one the stages are randomized....in the first one michelle's stage is the death valley....so nina's character belongs at the parthenon not michelle

@K3lin the stages represent most of the characters but they play at random arenas.....the baseball stadium, chicago and fiji werent even played and the heihachi stage ankgor wat is where king's orphanage is at

You have to complete all 8 stages of Galaga in the loading screen. I've never done it, but that's what I've heard/read.

LOL the music is all happy and stuff when he picks Heihachi up LOL. I thought something like a reunion was going to come or something, then he just tosses him off the cliff and he just smiles a "sup" smile, rather than a death grin or something LOL.
@ReconFacks Tekken 1 did have movement but it was very limited at the time because all you could do was move foward, jump,move backward and that was it.
I Can't belive that was it, i can remember having Heihachi but i used to piss around with my saves on my memory card so it was only for a few months :(

wow, i had no idea there was a playable devil kazuya back then. he looks a lot different than the others. no wings, and his longer hair has a resemblance to sasuke cursed seal 2
