Hello Luma I am very new to this software and I would like to learn more about this software like masking, Wrapping, mapping and many more if you help me out with your answere I would like to know them... As If now I need to do a projection mapping on a Temple in India and I am little bit worried about the projection mapping.

how would this worth a round cake that has a even surface (pin cushioned or lace for example) and if there are sugar flowers on the tier? we are in the process of designing out wedding cake and would love too incorporate mapping into it as we are having a disney themed event
The projected content will distort if it lands on curved or bumpy surfaces like icing decoration so you'd probably want to stick to abstract shapes, colour washes, unpredictable particles etc rather than recognisable images or photos. But it all depends how uneven the surface is - if it's a light lace effect that's only slightly raised, it might not produce a very noticeable effect on the projection. If the sugar flowers are large you should anticipate that they will cast shadows behind them which might interfere with the overall look. Does that help?
@@LumaBox it really does. I have a family member wanting to make the cake for us (a gift from them) so i imagine id find it harder too outsource the mapping, hence why i am looking into doing it myself.

Yes it absolutely is!
@@LumaBox If I use only one projector do I still need to make layers for the left and right side or do I use only 1 layer for the whole tier?
@@kenith3996 You can do. Or you can make 1 mesh that goes all the way along a row, incorporating the left and right side, and give it an extra subdivision which will give you handles in the middle. If that process isn't familiar to you, best just to follow the tutorial and make meshes for both sides.
