Why would it not work with a short throw projector? Couldn't you just subdivide the geometry of your 3D Object and line it up to corresponding points on your printed object to get rid of any distortion from the lens?
Yeah man, exactly my thoughts, short throw is probably the future of 3d mapping. My guess is that the triangulation system of calibration does not work with a lens distortion, hopefull they can fix this in future. Man its been years I'm trying to find out how to achieve real 3d mapping and a lot is still a grey area it seems, rendering in cinema 4d to then reproject is almost impossible.
Anyone having issues with madmapper 5.3.2, calibration when toggled on, doesn’t recognize the mode on a Mac studio. Using this method for a project. Doesn’t seem to snap to our obj model. Thoughts?
If I decide to load different obj files into MadMapper, of which essentially all have the same cubic dimensions (and would need to be mapped all the same), is there any way to apply one calibration to all? Or to link different obj files to one calibrated file as to not repeat to same mapping 20 times?
Great tutorial thanks for uploading

Hey Wesley, keep making more videos about MadMapper please?

Why will short throws not work?
How do generate UV coordinates? Can you use blender?
Awesome videos. Where can I find these tutorial files?
how do i calibrate in live view?
