Feeling tired and achy? This Aromatherapy body oil recipe will help you feel energized and vibrant!
It’s made in a base of Trauma Oil-a skin nourishing, pain reducing oil made by infusing three herbs (arnica, calendula, and St. John’s wort) in a base of carrier oil. Usually that’s olive oil. All of the flowers in Trauma Oil help to reduce inflammation and pain, and the calendula is especially good for nourishing skin.
I’m using 1 oz (30 ml) of Trauma Oil in a cobalt blue glass bottle. (0:52)
Trauma Oil is great for soothing aches and pains all by itself, and I’m adding four essential oils to enhance the relief of this body oil recipe.
8 drops Black Spruce essential oil (Picea mariana) (1:26)
5 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia) (2:00)
3 drops Peppermint essential oil (Mentha x piperita) (2:34)
2 drops Lemon essential oil (Citrus limon) (3:05)
It always impresses me how concentrated every drop of essential oil is. I never feel the need to use a lot! A few drops go a long way (especially in the case of Peppermint and Lemon)!
Close your bottle, shake your blend gently (3:37), and use your Aromatherapy body oil anywhere you feel achy, tired, and sore. It’s great for that “crick” in your neck, or for shoulders that get sore after sitting at your desk all day. I bet you’ll feel more energized and uplifted in no time!

Wonderful! Black spruce and Trauma oil are both on my "To buy" list (which is admittedly too long) and now they just moved to the top!
Awesome, you won't be disappointed, Amy!
if i don't feel essential oil, i'll die. i'm always wtaching your video. thank you.
Oh boy, I need this!!!
Hi Andrea is there any substitute for the black spruce? I've got all of the others you used... thank you!
Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) & Siberian Fir (Abies siberica) are two oils you might use in place of the Black Spruce.
Any sub for Lavender? Hate it.
Thanks
Davette, you could use clary sage (Salvia sclarea)
Neroli/Petitgrain Co-Distill (Citrus aurantium var amara (Flowers and Leaves))
Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
Hi Andrea, I am looking for a moisturizer for the body that doesn't use butters. My daughter doesn't care for the feel of the butters. any recipes? thanks
You might consider trying an unscented lotion for your daughter, shortyandhorses. Aromatics.com sells a nice one here:www.aromatics.com/products/unscented-lotion
Do you have a website where I can get the products you are using in your videos? Thanks.
Elsa&Lisa, you might try Aromatics International for your blending needs. This is who I use: Aromatics.com :o)
How can someone start a small business to sell respectable essential oils etc? Don't have a back yard to pluck herbs. Where could one purchase all the necessities, herbs etc to blend at home? Thanks new to your channel ❤.
+Andrea Butje Thank you❤
Dalila, what a beautiful name! You could find most of your needs at Aromatics International. Their website is Aromatics. com
can aloe vera gel be used with essential oils instead of trauma oil? thankyou😊
+Andrea Butje thankyou😄
Turtlecat, you can use any base you would like. Aloe will allow the oils to penetrate more quickly into the skin with less oily feel but will not have the same therapeutic effects as the trauma oil.
do you know of any blends that are good for hormone balance?
Hi Andrea, i would like to ask the same question as Jamie. Would i be able email you please?
Szilvia
There are some oils that can help to support the body when there is a shift in the hormones. You might consider email Andrea@aromahead.com so that I can give you a more detailed answer, Jamie & Szilvia.
I've been wanting to pick up Black Spruce. Where can one buy the trauma oil.
Can you imagine working in the lemon oil factory. They must feel so good.
, I like to get my trauma oil from Aromatics.com. Here is the direct link for this :www.aromatics.com/products/trauma-oil
