This is so cursed
You actually want the simulation distance low and then you pillar up 50 blocks up, it improves the spawn rate (it’s because there is less space to scan, meaning less mobs, and then that tells Minecraft, hey, you should spawn some mobs below you)
Having your simulation distance low can be a risk as mobs will still be able to spawn in the lazy chunks. This can cause a big lag spike when they are loaded.
@@migats2160 Yes, that could happen when you lower your render distance and stay in the same place, but that is why you need to pillar up
endermen holding blocks can tp from warped forests to the nether roof if you dont have blocks
That means we only need a pickaxe and an incredible amount of patience. Wait for an enderman to teleport with a block, place it in a crimson forest, wait for zombie piglins to spawn on that one block, collect at least one gold ingot, wait for a piglin spawn, barter. If it gives you blocks you can expand your spawning platform. To collect 10 obsidian we need ~110 ingots on average. We'll also get fire charges and gravel+iron so lighting the portal is easy.
@whocares2277 Zombiefied piglins can only spawn in nether wastes. I always thought extreme superflat survival cool, so knowing this makes me want to see if someone has done it and shown proof of it before. I won't be that person, though. I'm a bedrock player, so I can't place stuff on the nether roof.

I've successfully used chorus fruit to get off the nether roof.

the bed explosion itself will light the portal, you don’t have to wait for a fire to light in the pirtql with wood. with the ghast, the fireball hitting the obsidian at all should light the portal.
I think it COULD light the portal, but it's not gonna hurt to place some wood there just in case the fire "misses" the portal 🙂

That would defeat the purpose of hardcore wouldn't it....
Another method: always take at least 2 enderchests with you and a flint and steel in your enderchest. You can pick up your flint and steel, break down your enderchests using a non silk touch pickaxe, then build a portal and lite it.
I knew most of these mechanics (except the boat!) but I would definitely panic in that situation and forget everything I know and just choose to die xD It's super helpful to see all these options laid out!
Wooden fence gate with wooden trap door on top of it. Open both, stand in gate, crouch, then close the trap door. It'll push you down into the block below you. This can be used to do essentially the same as the boat trick, but you don't need to change frame rate.

The youtuber EnderSkull did a challenge run where he started on the nether roof:
Basically he went to the Warped Forest biome and waited for Enderman to teleport to the roof and hoped they were holding Warped Nylium when he killed them. After he got enough blocks, he built a platform in Soul Sand Valley biome to get skeletons to spawn, he killed them, and bonemealed the Warped Nylium to get the fungus and then the tree for wood. After that he did the piglin/zombified piglin trick.
His challenge run wasn't done in hardcore minecraft, simply because he was punching endermen to death and since they hit like a truck he died usually at least once per enderman kill.

This is why I always keep a flint n steel on me nomatter what, and I try to always keep at least a random portal on the nether roof round spawn so if I get stuck there I just need to walk to around 0 0 and there will be a portal
Wood is enough to get put of literally everything. i ALWAYS keep a stack of emergency planks or logs for this very reason
lol i carry an ender chest with me always that has every possible thing i may need flint and steel, obsidian,shulker full of totems, god apples, wood, blocks, spare armour and tools (which include a silk touch pickaxe incase i lost my original one and a one with fortune), some enchanted books like medning, unbreaking, potions, a shulker full of ores like iron, gold,diamond and even netherite lol. I always store 30% of all my ores and a shulker full of blocks so i can get anything anytime i want. Basically i can start an entire civilisation

Actually@@CjCool3003, bedrock has a mechanic, I don’t remember exactly how it works, but it in some way spawns you under the bedrock. It might be just exiting the game and going back in, I can’t remember. But there IS A WAY! Also, ik that I kinda just debunked my own comment there, but it was a joke anyway and I don’t rly care.

If you're playing an old world, converted from 360, like mine, the roof is just netherrack in the first place.
U could also make flint and steel from the iron nuggets and flint from gravel if you happened to get them before a fire charge

If you keep a few ender chests on you like I do, mine it with a non silk touch pick and you can harvest 8 obsidian each.

i wonder if it's possible at all to do a proper survival world/series starting on the nether roof and eventually beating the game.
I think you probably need one block to spawn mobs on, since mobs can't spawn on bedrock itself.
Then, as shown in the video, you can spawn zombie piglins, kill them for gold, spawn regular piglins, trade for obsidian and fire charges, build a portal, escape to the overworld, and progress normally from there.
Something kinda interesting, I'm pretty sure bedrock burns infinitely in the nether and end, at least on java, so netherack isnt necessary for holding fire safely

if you just have like- 20 wood and at least 10 netherack, you're probably fine
Another good way to get out is to hit esc and hit open to lan and then choose enable cheats, then you can change to creative or spectator mode and escape 😊

@@xian2themax No, with some pistons and tnt you can somehow break bedrock. Dont ask me how it works, I just know that it works
@@BiljardDragonM yes, you can break bedrock like that if you can align the pistons along a 2d plane with the bedrock. If the bedrock is only below you the setup doesn’t work

Actually, you can kill yourself. Only way to die is starving to death.
Why would you ever want to get to the nether roof anyway when you can’t build, the whole point is that in Java you can more easily build transportation there than in the normal nether. Also you can kill yourself just by starving to death

Another good way is to build a big platform and wait for piglins, like zombie piglins and regular piglins. You can farm the zombie piglins and craft gold ingots to trade with normal piglins because they give you obsidian and fire charges :>

Another good way is to craft a boat and row it into another block that is just beside where you came out, then change your fps to 20 and then look down at the boat and hold right click and crouch repeatedly.
