That’s a nice set! My mom has the same exact washer and dryer set, however my moms dryer drum is stainless steel and still doesn’t show any age good running dryer, as well as the washer still working amazing! The other difference is my moms dryer is a small beeper instead of a loud buzz however my moms washer does have a super loud buzz. Great machines!
This just in: The Maytag repairman saw this video, and quit his job, because he missed the old days of sitting in the office waiting for nothing to happen. Excellent wash action, just does exactly what it's supposed to. Plain and simple. It's got one job, and it does it well!
The Maytag repairman quit LONG before they were bought up by Whirlpool. Essentially what happens is, Maytag wanted to become a conglomerate like Whirlpool and ended up buying a bunch of crappy brands like Hoover, Magic Chef, Tappan, Norge, among many others. Maytag starting selling Norge machines with the Maytag name on it, consumers were more than dissatisfied once their Maytag (Norge) started having problems and were more than disappointed since they were marketed as being dependable. The Neptune machines didn’t help either by much. Bad business decision after bad business decision is what did them in. If Maytag never bothered with acquiring those companies along with the Neptune machines, they’d still be around to this day, probably would force Whirlpool to make quality machines since if they didn’t, the rug would have been pulled from underneath them then their sales would be missing in action. Whirlpool COULD HAVE kept the genuine Maytag helical designs, but chose to make it a direct drive (even the direct drives couldn’t hold a candle to the 1966 to 2006 Maytag helical washers) and eventually a VMW machine. But it seems, the BS persists as always. This is why I am beginning to have a disdain for Whirlpool, even some of their older machines since they cheap’d out on certain components. Certainly half-a$$ed it in the way the direct drives never did a spray rinse on the first spin, if they did, was a slow spin on the early direct drives.
I was wondering. I have a 1996 Dependable Care Plus. It has different time selections for each cycle. Light is 5 minutes, normal is 8 minutes, and heavy is 12 minutes. Does that mean that extra heavy on yours is 18 minutes?

Didn't you make a few videos of this back in 2006 when it was new?
Dryer buzzes always rattle my brain
Maytag made a fantastic washer in the year 2006. Is this item still available in department stores? Would like to purchase one with matching dryer!
No. Maytag was bought by whirlpool around 2008

When you put it on speed x2, it looks like the washing machine is going super speed.
What is the “finger wash” switch?
It just adds more water if needed.
Is that what you used at the beginning when you put the soap and softener in and you turned the water on temporarily?
@@isaac24 Yep, that's what I did.
Oh, ok.
I have this type of washer but mines is a legacy series version
