Attractive Ladyfingers with custard cream and strawberries

  • Ladyfingers biscuits (Savoyardi biscuits) with custard cream and strawberries is a very simple, fast and delicious dessert.
    Ingredients
    300 g |10 oz Savoyardi (ladyfingers pastries)
    2 egg yolks
    600 ml | 20 oz Milk
    150 ml | 5 oz Milk for dipping
    1 lemon zest
    100 g | 1/2 cup sugar
    40 g | 1,5 oz corn starch
    Guidelines
    Just a quick dip Ladyfingers on both sides in milk.
    Add milk to a sauce pan.
    Add 1 lemon zest to milk.
    Warm, but do not boil milk.
    Separate 3 egg yolks from white.
    Add sugar to yolks.
    Mix until the mixture becomes a little bit creamy.
    Add a corn starch. Mix.
    Remove zest from a warm milk.
    Add warm milk 3 times to yolk/sugar mixture. Stir constantly.
    Add mixture to a sauce pan.
    Warm at low heat until it becomes thick. Remove from heat as soon as boils.
    Add lemon juice. Mix.
    Cover bisquits with a warm mixture.
    Shake the mold.
    Cover with cooking film.
    Place in a fridge for 3 hours.
    Decorate with strawberries.
    Enjoy!
