I feel like there's a bit more of the story to be told regarding how Oropo's consciousness got back into his body by the time of the main series. But it looks like this ending is implying that the voice Nox heard from the Eliacube was real after all and it was Oropo manipulating him all along after the cube washed up in that beach cove where Noximilien found it.
My theory so far is that oropo manipulated nox to gather all the wakfu he needed to get out of the eliacube and be back in his body, thats why i think the cube stopped talking to nox after he tried to time travel, oropo was already back to his body by that point.
Grougal already mentioned beforehand that he was suffering from an injury from a past battle before fighting Nox. And on top of it, Nox wasn't just powerful but cunning too. He put a lot of strategy into wearing Grougal down and overwhelming him. Even then, it says a lot on Grougal for being able to dominate and adapt against a lot of what Nox prepared for him
@@SalamanderMouthwashnot to mention that grougal was much older when he fought nox and that he was probably hella rusty not having his brother as a training partner.
