Queen La Magic and Fight Scenes (+ Jane) - The Legend of Tarzan

- All magic and fight scenes of the iconic Queen La, plus all the times Jane used the magic staff as well. The femme fatale of Opar is a great villain, kinda wish we got to see more of her.
All rights to Disney, I own nothing
Believe it or not, Queen La is an actual character from the Tarzan novels. Unlike in the show, she is the high priest of the city of Opar and descendant of Atlantians. She is serves as either an antagonist turned allie or an ally to Tarzan, as she is in love with him. In the novels she is still both a badass and charming character
Cool stuff bro. Can you tell me what different on the books than the movies or series of Tarzan.
I didn’t knew. Can you tell me more? Or where to find this novel?
She looks like a sinister version of Princess Kida from *Atlantis: The Lost Empire* based on the hair, eyes, etc. Queen La is one of the best characters from the original Tarzan book franchise!
Fun fact: In the original Tarzan books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Queen La’s kingdom of Opar is a lost colony of Atlantis located deep in the jungles of Africa, in which incredible riches have been stockpiled down through the ages. I see what Disney did and that was clever!
That is very cool! Id love that to be the case!
@@kitzatarawhat really sucks is that this show wasn’t on Disney plus
@@jacobmillenbach2561 May be never seen again on telly because Disney lost the rights to Tarzan , which is shame it always why deep Jungle only appears in the first Kingdom Hearts game and not mention in the others
@@loonytunescrazy technically speaking Tarzan in general is in the public domain and the legend of Tarzan was part of the 1999 film franchise by Disney which is a pretty big maybe depending on what legal issues are
@@jacobmillenbach2561 the rights are still own by Edgar Rice Burroughs estate
She DOES NOT get talked about enough, she was a charming BADASS villain. Severely underrated
Shes literally not far off from shego's level of bad and we dont talk about here enough
She and Mozenrath from the Aladdin show were such cool new villains! :D
I said, i don't mind Mozenrath and the Moolah from Aladdin The Series.
Queen La made me feel things I didn’t know when I was younger. Years later, some things have changed, some things haven’t.
A future Kingdom hearts Boss
I wish, but Disney doesn't own the rights any more.
Wish she was in thr first game instead of clayton
@@marcpetkavich8809 would've been an interesting encounter, maybe she could've fought alongside sabor? Though, it would've also required a kh2, part 2, level of storytelling (as in, the world having a unique storyline, not just an abridged version of the story).
@@rusttoyoung1912WHAT? WHY?
@@briannadickson2884 Not sure which comment you're responding to so:
Originally, Disney had deals with the family of Edgar Rice Burroughs (who wrote the original book, and whose family owns the rights), but the two have since had a falling out (involving several legal issues), and now Disney can't use any of the related characters in their media. Which is why there won't be a live action remake (though Sony has apparently been given the rights to make a movie).
As for why you'd need a KH2 , part 2, level of storytelling to do a Queen La boss - visiting the world's for the second time was the first time that we got KH storylines that weren't just rehashes of the movies. And Queen La wasn't in the original movie.
She really does resemble a bit to Princess Kida but in an evil way.
Kida?! Thought she was a Disney-fied Storm from the X-Men.
Maybe a distant cousin, Atlantis used to be on the surface.
@@whitewolf3051 somehow she's an actual character from the original tarzan novel and from what I remember the looks and skintone are actually mostly the same. It involved descendants of an Atlantean tribe that fled and settled down with the locals thousands of years before Tarzan and his parents got stranded in the area.
Atlantis aired in June 2001 while The Legend of Tarzan first _started airing_ in September 2001, and Queen La didn’t appear until Episode 4 which aired in August 2002, so it’s indeed possible Kida could have inspired the animator who designed her? 🤔🤔🤔
I'm so upset that this cartoon isn't on Disney plus. I adored this show when it originally aired
I love her. She was my favorite character in the show
If they ever decide to continue the Disney Tarzan franchise, that curse she put outta come back and bite them
Right? I don't know why they don't, Tarzan is public domain and their lawyers could easily defeat the ERB estate's bogus © claims before they even get to court.
Like he's super public domain, he was published in the late 1800s!
Queen La was one of my childhood crushes
Is it because she looks like a Disney villain version of Storm from X-Men, or an evil Kida from Atlantis? Neither was the case for me, just thought she looked hot.
@whitewolf3051 No, it's because of the tribal look and the thighs that save lives
Can’t say I blame you.
@blackbankai0354 I know, right?
Ни одна мульт героиня не вызывала у меня влюбленности, даже кида из атлантиды. Ла и джейн в её наряде выглядят поистине сексуально..
This is my first time seeing this character, wtf. Didn't grow up watching Disney's afternoon animations as I normally watched Fox's instead. Def a unique looking character for Disney, I imagine she'd be super popular today.
The moment Jane takes on the outfit she ends looking better than she does even to a point that Queen La had to posses her after she lost her original body 😆
I feel like her character could have been so much more but the writers were limited due to the nature of disney and the shows it produces, though back then they made a lot more interesting things then they do today
The golden age of disney had concepts that much transcended the perceived "limitations" of the medium.
Many stories had characters, both heroes and antagonist, that were so much more than just "children stories", and during that time... creators still had some leeway to show something of that... nowadays... yeah, not even "hidden" is there some depth.
@@Alacaelum There was a whole episode of Centaurworld, a modern cartoon that was a metaphor for suicide.
people just say that modern cartoons don't have depth but don't actually give them any chance due to nostalgia
@@Justaguythatcameby Oh i watched Centaur World... and that one wasn't even subtle at some points XD... and many other shows that do have great hidden and front messages.
I didn't mean to say that ALL modern shows have no teeth, just that there was a period that things took a really steep down turn... actually... even if the era of this cartoon, many stories were cut to
Many creator still do what they can to put the best ideas they have, Gravity Falls is good example... there is a video showing some of Alex's email with the censorship department that are... a riot.
Facts
Tarzan series mention?! In 2024?! I thought everyone else had forgotten about this show, it was one of my absolute faves! La was a baddie, she def deserved more screen time
Part of me wonders, since Disney & Pixar likes to connect their movies and tv shows together, if Queen La was somehow descendent of Alantis. If that is the case, then it means the village she originally came from were also descendent from Atlantis and that maybe there was a way to reach Atlantis in the jungle as well.
It's a theory I thought about for a long time and only wished Disney would have made a crossover movie to fallow it through.
Based on an above comment, that was the case in the original tarzan books- that Queen La was ruler of a colony of Atlantis!
Man i miss this era of disney when they said fuck it we'll make a series out of all our successful movies xD
She was the main reason I got invested in this show back them 😅
Love Queen La, and her Kida design. As a kid, I always wanted to be her. She was so cool. ❤
This show rocks
It's always the crazy ones that are the best
Queen La looks just Storm the X-Men series but i like an evil counterpart to both Storm and Kida.
5:33 now, all leopards are back to normal.
Some died.
@@artisticsolarninja They died because they were zapped by Queen La at 2:13
This video unlock so many recalls so bad of my childhood... like I remember that black man friend of Tarzan after being rivals first, the sister of the villain from the first movie and that womaniser trying to get laid with Jane but I didnt remembered this baddie until now, lmao.
Fun fact: she's voiced by the singer/actress Diahann Carroll. I knew she sounded familiar. She and Eartha Kitt have very distinct voices
Best carácter of the series
Queen La always reminded me of Storm from X-Men
I'm getting huge Gargoyles vibes here.
She reminds you of Demona.
@@ionutalexandru9710 Something like that.
This show was interesting it deserves better
I never knew about this character until I saw this video
Shego: I’m the sexiest Disney channel villainess!
Queen La: Hold my staff.
(Side note: Jane also looks hot in La’s suit)
Oh wow! I didn't know they created a specific nemesis for Tarzan in the animated series. This is one of the series I somehow never got to regularly watch.
I had a crush on her as a kid 😍
I still have that Game Boy Advance game. It was fun. Even had Tarzan's yell as a game mechanic.
Queen La is what happens if Storm trained her magic and didn't have her mutant powers on top of being evil as heck. (For the record. Storm canonically has cat eyes).
Just like in the orginal comics
There’s something about dark skin girls that you gotta appreciate in life
In her case, dark skinned women with either white hair or platinum blonde hair.
Queen La is one hella Hot Baddie Mommy.
What makes her casual destruction of her servants even worse is that she knows their names or even named them herself. She recognizes them as individuals and still kills them whenever she is upset.
They don't make shows like this anymore this show was great
now this is quite the journey in memory lane XD
00:16 is a real jump scare if watching the episode for the first time.
She actually does seem kind of intimidating and she constantly appears to be killing her own men. I might want to watch the series just for her
Королева ла мой краш. Пока одни сохнут по гаечке, гвен теннисон, трио из тотали спайс и ким пять с плюсом , я сох по ла и джейн
I think La might be Atlantean. She’s got the hair.
Jane be looking fine
I absolutely love a dark skin barefoot waifu.
6:37 How long was she gone? That tree raises so many questions about the timeline.
I love how the Saturday morning version of classic stories went 10x crazier than original. Say remember that movie about a dude being raise by monkeys meets a girl who teach him to be civilized? Let's add a hot enchantress who turns cheetahs into evil henchmen. This is the kind of character you can only get in 90/00's.
Leopards*
what a baddie. iu remember this show
Well, I don’t.
@@StarlordDX9520 well i do
why haven't disney added this freaking show on disney plus
She’s like Boa Hancock but more wild and white hair. Total beauty baddie.
Correct me sir I’m wrong, but I believe that is the legendary Diahann Carroll who voiced her! 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@SwanArtistry05 yes it is!
The way Tazan moves like an ape killed me 😆
Kida + Demona = her.
Take a shot every time you hear that Jaguar audio in the background. You’ll be a goner 60 second in. Good job reusing the audio clip every time Disney 😂

I don't know this character, i don't know what she wants, but i would do anything for her 😭💖💝
I can't tell the difference between Queen La and Jane's voice.
yeah she's on Shego's level for sure

Truth. Storm outsells in all categories, Queen La is just fun villain
💯 true
I think I'm in love 🤤
I'd like to know
Who wrote the script for this?
As a child I really liked these episodes xD
Oh I also saw the Aladdin and the Hercules animated series. And the plots were a bit similar I think? So I believe it must be the same team
Thanks!
Oh, my...
wait there was a tarzan series?looks pretty cool though
She's like a female version of Jafar
If her whole theme is jaguars, why do they keep spamming snake hisses all the time?
Tarzan was or odiot or blind to refuse her.🤣🤣🤣🤣
What have I stumbled upons
Did she ever had cross over the Aladdin villain )
2:37 this is where he cursed her out. that was VERY rude...
Dark skin and White hair on a Femme Fatale is always a guaranteed baddie
Theres baddies and then there is queen La
Magic in Tarzan exists?
Hotest girl of my childhood
1) Storm, why aren’t you with the X-Men?! 2) If she’s not Storm, she’s still dang hot, even for a villain. 3) Wonder how many boys/men had a crush on her despite her being evil.
Basically Jafar but a baddie
was it ever explained, who she is? where she is from?
and how she got that magic staff?
@@warllockmasterasd9142 no unfortunately not
Jesus... she feels like such a machiavelian villain, there isnt a shred of remorse in her... but she owns it so much.
She villainy in it purest form, what i would give to have those again, and that the stupid hollywoodian concept that animation is for children to stop limiting what those stories can do.

Disney could have done so much more with Queen La. If time machines get invented then this is what I will do for Queen La. First I would have her appear in the first Tarzan movie. She would die the same way she did in the series where Jane destroys her staff and her body turns to dust. Next, I would make two more Disney Tarzan movies before the series is made. Tarzan 2 would not be a prequel and the third film would not be about Tarzan and Jane's first anniversary. After the third movie, I would release the series where Queen La returns where she is a spirit like in the original series, and the episode would be called the Resurrection and Return of La because she would come back to life. Here's how it would happen. After La takes over Jane’s body, returns to Opar, reclaims her staff, and rebuilds Opar, she knows that she can not stay in Jane’s body. Not just because Jane’s body is weak and useless but Tarzan could easily knock her staff out of her hands and he would kill her and himself due to his love for Jane as shown in that episode. She realizes that she needs her body back but her magic staff doesn’t have the power to revive it. So she would travel to a secret magical chamber that’s underneath Opar. La created this chamber many years ago before she enslaved the leopard men. She created it by using all the Waziri magic and all the forbidden Waziri magic. Its magic powers are far more powerful than La’s staff powers and its magic can even bring back anyone from the dead. La kept it a secret even from the leopard men. The only way for it to work is by using La’s magic staff. La would use the magic chamber to create a new faster, stronger, taller, younger, and more powerful body since she believed her old one was too weak. Her new body would be younger than Jane’s body and it would be even bigger, taller, and muscular than Tarzan’s body. It would also have bigger boobs. She would then tell the magic chamber to immortalize her new body so she’d never age . She also realizes that if Tarzan takes her staff and destroys it again her new body will be destroyed and she’ll be a spirit again if Tarzan somehow learns about the magic chamber and destroys it she won’t be able to create a third body. So she commands the magic chamber to transfer all her magic powers of her staff into her new body along with all the magic powers and dark powers of the magic chamber.
Once her new body is created and her staff’s powers along with the chamber’s powers are transferred into it, her staff breaks and turns to dust. Her spirit leaves Jane’s body and goes into her new body. Her spirit and her new body magically fuse into one. La’s life is completely restored. Not only does she have the magic powers of her staff but she also has the powers and abilities of the magic chamber. She has become her staff and the magic chamber herself. La can now use her magic powers by zapping it out of her hands. When La uses her magic, it produces red and black just like in how Sabrina uses her magic in Sabrina the animated series. The magic chamber has given La new abilities. For example, she has the ability of any type of animal that she can use while in her human form. For example, leopard speed and jump. She has super strength, agility, enhanced senses, and can also become a giant. She can even have her body parts turn into animal body parts, for example, leopard claws and multiple octopus arms that resemble the monster octopus arms from Leopard Men Rebellion only these arms are red, not green, and can transform into any full animal as well. She would also have elemental powers that would allow her to shoot any elemental out of her hands transform her body into any elemental and control any elemental. La would even have healing abilities that would allow her to survive any injury that would maim or kill a normal human being. She would even have cell regeneration, This allows La to magically regrow certain body parts or cells that have been dismembered or destroyed and replace them with brand new cells, or simply regroup all of her separated body parts back together. Her new body would almost look like her old one except bigger, muscular, and younger, her hair would be longer and her hair would be black instead of white and her eyes would be red instead of cyan.
This episode would take place after the poisoned river, the fountain, and the eagle's feather episode since I'm changing everything for La, the poisoned river would be episode 4 instead.
Why's she always killing off her jaguar minions, that's just really wasteful from a practical point of view
Between Queen La, Kita from Atlantis, and Chell from El Dorado, my obsession with brown chicks was born.
