I think even the Xiaomi 14 had better detail capture in the pavement in the other comparison with Vivo you did as well, was surprised you didn't mention it there? I agree that I don't think it's sharpening, must be a better lens or sensor? From what I've seen the main camera video on Xiaomi 14 U might be better on details than the iPhone 15 pro max.
Which one is better for daytime regular details and stabilization? The compression makes it hard to tell which is better.
For regular video 4K30 is better with details and contrast on the Xiaomi 14 ultra... But 4k60, 8k and super stable are all better and highly consistent on the x100 pro... So depending on which format of video you're interested in you can choose accordingly.

How do you change framerate of Xiaomi's 4K@120 video? Absurdly, this shooting mode is not slow motion by default.
It's in the regular video mode... U can switch between 24, 30, 60 and 120 when using 4k

Does not make any sense 'in sensor' zoom does not work in video. The very old Nokia 808 PureView did just that 12 years ago (its vaunted 4x zooming in 1080p), and even previous N8 and N86 were capable of take advantage of this technique. Impossible to understand...
thats true. I used to own the 808 and it has crazy sensor zoom in videos. i wonder why no android can still replicate that in 2024.
Some of the issues are bugs which can be fixed via update, so you have to take them with a grain of salt. Phone camera comparisions are pretty salty... and not set in stone. Plus, the number of features are increasing.. so these videos can become so long as to be meaningless.
Overall video quality and bitrate is unlikely to change in updates, that's what we use these reviews to get a general idea of

really great and detailed comparison and damn that lack of stabilization on 14 ultra is really unfortunate. I've only got a couple of questions tho, 1) is there any chance on earth of x100 ultra launching in India and 2) many people on reddit and twitter have been complaining about lens fogging issues on 14 ultra, have you experienced it..?

Coz that's the limit for resolution... Can't brute force it to 4k if it's stuck at 1080p

The x100 Ultra has recieved certifications in China .... A Primary LYT 900 sensor and a 4.3x 200MP HP9 Sensor... It's going to be Unbelievable

I was talking abt edge detection... I thought it was pretty obvious but maybe I should've mentioned it more clearly... You need an open mind man... Not everything is abt bias as most of the time you're missing the full context coz u refused to believe I'm anything but a fanboy

Nah... Edge detection is better on the Xiaomi... If u look closely you'll see that both phones are kinda blurring out my ears but the edges around my hands and hair are sharper and cleaner on the Xiaomi
