      That's what this whole Dry Bar Comedy channel is. Stand-up without the cursing. I don't mind bad language in comedy, but I honestly think that when NOT cursing is a rule, the comics need to land those punchlines more tactfully. It's great!

    I got invited to Andy's birthday party when I was in 4th grade and it was awesome, his family was super nice and I had a great time. The next year he called me and asked if I could come to his birthday party and I had to ask my mom. She said sure but I didn't know his last name and it was before caller ID so I couldn't call to ask his address. When I saw him at Monday at school I could tell he was bummed I didn't come but I didn't know how to explain I didn't know his last name. So Andy if you're reading this, please accept this as my apology 30 years later. Love your jokes, you're awesome.

      The boat joke tho!! Bruhhhhh ☠☠

    • @mirmalchik
      @mirmalchik 4 роки тому +44

      yeah people kind of overuse the term "gaslighting" as if it's just a synonym for lying. the distinction is that gaslighting is for the purpose of convincing the gaslit party that they are mentally ill. it's pretty clear if you watch the movie from which the term is derived. In Gaslight with Ingrid Bergman, the man who murdered her aunt marries Bergman and gradually convinces her to question her sanity by accusing her of losing and forgetting and stealing and moving things that he "loses" for her. She can't imagine that he would be manipulating her like this and comes to assume that she's blacking out and doing strange things without reason. But he gets his in the end, and even though her revenge is as passive as you'd expect in an American movie from the era of black and white film, Bergman's closing monologue is goddamn genius. Watch it, it's worth it. And stop pretending gaslighting = lying, please.

He's said it about me for over twenty years but this one time I heard and understood the live he had for my brother and I. Even after divorce from my Mother, Dad was still who I called until I was 36; when he passed, he was my best friend. I was in all levels a Daddy's girl.

My Mother broke his heart when I was 17 they divorced, he always called himself Dad #2 and I reminded him several times a Dad earns his title, we didn't need to be blood, he was Dad to me. I miss him so much, I wish everyday he was still here. I have no connection with my Mother, but Dad I could tell him anything and if I was wrong he would put me in my place. A Dad is someone who teaches you, stays up when you're ill, give punishments when I deserved it, but always said he loved me. When I graduated college he was the one telling me he knew I was intelligent, and to never stop learning. I now know five languages, studying my sixth. When I joined the Army and my brother was a Marine he had a flag pole built in his yard and flew both branches of the military we were in. After my first deployment my Dad said he was so proud of me and that moment I believed him. Such a jewel lost. I love my Daddy, and will till it's my time to see him again.

      Sometime in the early 1980s, I was going out to dinner with my parents. We were all ready and getting in the car when Mom realized she didn't turn off her kitchen radio so she went back in to do that. We waited... and waited... I eventually went back inside to see if she was okay. I got worried when I opened the door and I could hear that her radio was still on, cranked, and I could hear an odd sound of Mom dragging her feet on the linoleum floor. I rushed to the kitchen, afraid that maybe she had a stroke or something.
      Nope! I should have noticed what song was playing, it was Michael Jackson's "Rock With You" and that "odd sound" was my 62 year old Mom _moonwalking_ to that song and doing way better than I could!
      She loved Michael from the first time she saw the Jackson 5 on "Ed Sullivan".
      I went back to the car and told my dad what the hold up was, and that Mom would be out when the song's over, unless they play ANOTHER MJ song! Dad just shook his head and sighed, with a big grin.
      I still miss my parents sumpthin awful. I'm always going to want one more day with them. They were two of the funniest and sweetest people I've ever known. 🥲

      I once fell asleep while at a doctor's appointment with my mom. It was the first time seeing this new doctor, and I had forgotten I had that appointment, and probably sat up all night playing World of Warcraft. So I sit there in his office, half dead at like 9 in the morning probably starting to snore, and my mom elbowing me in my sleep. x'D This was back in my early teenage years.

      He absolutely needs a new agent. I watch quite a bit of stand-up but i've never once heard of this guy... which is pretty crazy. i came here literally to see the one joke that was advertised and like many others who've posted, watched the entire video. some very hilarious stuff i've never heard before... especially the final punch line!
      Update: i searched youtube and found about 10 vids from the last 6 years... all of them with the same material as above. 😭 i know it's pretty common for comedians to repeat bits that were funny and worked... but after watching 10 more it was so sad that i didn't see any different material. i guess maybe he needs a better agent AND a writer 😏 .....but the video above is still a scream and definitely his best.

      @@B_Bodziak It's just interesting to me, when you say "should of" it shows that you clearly have no idea what the words you're saying mean. Because otherwise you would know that you're trying to say "should've", a contraction of "should have". When you say "should of" it shows that you are just writing it the way you hear it, which is hilariously stupid.

      I find the fact that he is pretending to crack up at jokes he's written, re-written, rehearsed, performed at small venues, rewritten again - and then performed X times before filming this special - evidence enough that the laughing is part of the act, which is kind of lame
