I wonder if the producers of the show have ever watched an episode. it's quite entertaining and it peakes my curiosity whenever I see their videos on UA-cam, I have to click! but it's so cringy! the script in which they follow for the test is uncomfortable. You can see how uncomfortable the blacksmiths are just standing there. IDK why the testers have to ask them if they're ready what are they going to say no but it's just awkward.
The blacksmiths aren’t just standing there though, they are observing what their weapons are doing and if they’ll pass. The only reason they are a bit awkward is because they are nervous.
I totally agree with they. It's a nice idea for a serie like this, but the execution is very awkward. They can do better for sure. Still nice to watch a few episodes here and there.
triynizzles why do people have to cringe at absolutely everything? It’s not even just this show but so many other comments online. Because something shows even a hint of awkwardness doesn’t mean anyone has to cringe over it. Just take it chill and leave things be
After that strength test, did you even need to have a sharpness test? Also, 3:41 you see Jeff give a sad little grimace to Brendan as they both know he’s lost.
Uhm a hoof slicer wasn't meant to cut hooves it was made to cut horses. I wonder if you get to make a demon cutter sword would you procure demon carcasses for testing also?
Judging a knife by its handle shouldn't be a thing because everybody has different size hands. That's why people shop for knives, to find the one that fits them best.
His heart is not that low, and at the position he is cutting at, it would be unlikely for the blade to reach his heart anyway. I cant see why he would do it for stability so its probably something to make him seem more professional, but i could be wrong
That dude with a huge nose is the spokesperson for the show. Sounds like the Lab mic is in his nose when he speaks. It always amazes me how people with obvious flaws like this get paid to do speaking roles on major TV shows
Tbh its pretty unfair to tell someone their blade isnt sharp when youve just completely destroyed it. If this test was done the other way round it would have been fine on the sharpness test. His knife was as sharp as the others but not as strong but they made it seem shite by literally serrating it before doing the sharpness test...
They do the tests in that order to show the quality of the blade they made because a god blade can hold it's sharpness after hitting something hard. That and the contestants of a very short time that actually make the knife
DaGreatWatahMelone doesn't mean they don't spend time sanding them. And while they are, what's the difference between holding the blade straight and getting a clean bevel rather than just making it look like a kid's sketch drawing
That's the whole point, to see if the blade can keep an edge, what good is a sharp blade if it loses it's sharpness with a few cuts (ofc in this case its heavy duty use)
"I've been waiting for 4 Seasons"
"You've been waiting at the 4 seasons, That's Nice."

Johnny 4 seasons is a hotel lol confused me for a minute as well for a minute
Hahaha
LMAO I KNOW RIGHT!

2:59 when your mom's mad at you and you've been asking to go outside with your friends and then she finally lets you
I love how the first dude is so giddy and happy when his knife is tested😂
3:59 Matt Damon made a pretty solid knife.
Why am I binge watching this? How did I find this video? Why is this video so interesting to watch?
Stop asking for likes Idiot ikr
- are you ready?

To see spongebob
Best comment XD
Jeffs blades always win
"If it doesn't go right that's it, I'm going home", mate you were already going home after the first one.
Good show, good concept, BAD QUESTION
We all know illia is the real blade forging champion
No I was in season 2
I don't get the grip part, like everyone has different sized hands.
@@CamaroZ28Nut3
if you check on 3:40 you can see second judge fills almost whole handle of that blade and he’s no where near to shaq
Ben doesn´t have the markings of a varsity atlete. Small hands.
No hooves were harmed in the making of this video
My favorite part is when they ask if the mastersmiths are ready. And the mastersmiths just stand there. 😂😂😂
I like the chopper blade the most
3:00 that face though... creepy af

Heh good, people on chef shows are either pigheaded or nervous when judged, no difference here imo
Hoof chop with a Japanese Hoof Slicer? Shouldn't be a problem
2:58 what is he doing?!
Came his draws lmao
2:58 I’m dead🤣💀
But will it keel?
Brad is my fav
3:40 goes from safety glasses on his head, to his eyes and the back up. WTF?
Awesome!
I was Jeff’s Uber driver today truly a great guy
Brad looks like Stephen hawking.
Look at 2:55 he is so Happy
why do you have to chop the hardest before the softest .. wtf?
Its so when they do the sharpness test they can see if it held its sharpness after the beating it took
@ not really because any blade can cut. But not every blade can hold its edge after taking a beating. Thats what theyre testing
What they do is of it's supposed to be a chopping blade they chop first, then cut. But if it's a cutting blade they cut first and chop second.
The world of forging to far from even. The blade must hold an edge or it is worthless like buck knives
SO MUCH POPCORN WASTED😢😢😢😢
They all remind me of blades they made 😂
Bob?! Wow I didn't know he judged in this! Learned basic karambit moves from his videos!
After that strength test, did you even need to have a sharpness test?

Ben is so much better at executing the strength test
MVP is the janitor
This isn’t a fair test, the hoofs move and the blade can make contact with the bench that would effect the blade differently.
(no) Pigs were harmed
They really weren't. Those are cow hooves
Judging a knife by its handle shouldn't be a thing because everybody has different size hands. That's why people shop for knives, to find the one that fits them best.
3rd one wasn't a chopper , that was a helicopter....
Indonesia
Jeff said he'd been waiting four seasons of this show not at the four seasons hotel lol
What happen if someone is not ready?
They test the knife anyway.
Why they do surrender their weapons?
The First person that heats the nose he brakes everything
This makes me cringe how they swing the blade but I can't stop watching
Well they are all trained weapons specialists sooo... They probably know what they are doing better then you do.
Ya because you're an expert at swinging blades....and dumb insults let's not forget that one.
3:47 why you are wasting the food
😢😢😢😢😢😖😖😤😤😤
What happened to the wheel keel guy?
THE BLADE THATS CHIPPED SNAGS THE BAG?????? WHAT!!!!!!!!!
But will they keeeeel?
but can it KEEEEEL!?!
Does it KEEELLL??
thats bull, they should do the sharpness test before destroying their blades
my namea jeff
the first judge kinda looks like simon pegg
Comon guys the old man can't perform the tests
Wtf. Why is this video so funny 😂
Does he hold his arm like that for leverage and stability? Or to protect his heart if a blade breaks?
His heart is not that low, and at the position he is cutting at, it would be unlikely for the blade to reach his heart anyway. I cant see why he would do it for stability so its probably something to make him seem more professional, but i could be wrong
Is it on Netflix?
The Second Judge Destroyed the Man's Blade by hitting it in the table multiple times what a jerk 1:13
Brad = Dale from King of the Hill
but will it keel??
Holds a pencil..sticks it between ribs.. "it will kill" lol lol this shows a joke
Huvs 😂
Did Doug invent micarda handles?
Brenden your blade did"not make the cut" get it 🔪🔪🔪 4:17
Why do all of brads blades get little holes in them
Am I the only one that counted 11 chops on the second guy kinda not fair each chop matters
That dude with a huge nose is the spokesperson for the show. Sounds like the Lab mic is in his nose when he speaks. It always amazes me how people with obvious flaws like this get paid to do speaking roles on major TV shows
I want jeff to make me a knife pronto!
The strength test made me cringe internally
Nice to see Stephen King at a forge!
Wasn’t Jeff on Ink Master
RIP the horses
Those weren't horse hooves my guy
I'm thinking cow hooves
2:58
Why every time they end the testings i feel like some loser will stab the winner
1:41 HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Where did they get the hooves from?
Orion where do you think
Orion your mum ;)
A pocket knife can do that
By will it KILL
But*

Ye sure but that is called "quality" sharpness is a factor in voting but quality is something else

Why is Post Malone making blades?
No one Gonna say anything about the way he said HOEF
These tests are faulty. How is every swing an equal amount of force. Duuumb
I love this shi +!
the first guy called his blade a Japanese hoof slicer?
I noticed that too. Bizarre.
Why damage the blades first then say its not a cutter🤔🙄
Because nobody wants a knife that turns dull after a few uses 🤔🙄
Kanan koppa maistuu hevolta
Anyone else thinking that those who test might have personality or emotional issues?😅
Yup. Those that can’t do, teach. And those that can’t teach, judge.
Huvs
What exactly is Ben’s accent? I can’t figure it out...
Scottish perhaps? I’d imagine somewhere from the UK.
Why am I here
So i can eat you
AnoimousUncle 567 Sounds hot
Do they make the blades super ugly on purpose?
Niels Cremer i think they use recycled metal
Pretty sure they only have 3 hours to make the knife
DaGreatWatahMelone doesn't mean they don't spend time sanding them. And while they are, what's the difference between holding the blade straight and getting a clean bevel rather than just making it look like a kid's sketch drawing
@@nielscremer599 ok master blacksmith
It’s not about aesthetics. It’s about the quality of the blades.
The seax knife should have been made traditionally where it's just a straight spine and blade, idk if they prevented him from doing so
Why are they doing the durability test before the sharpness test?? The sharpness will be affected
That's the whole point, to see if the blade can keep an edge, what good is a sharp blade if it loses it's sharpness with a few cuts (ofc in this case its heavy duty use)
Purposefully bashing something to see if the blade dents.
'Unfortunately your blade took a little denting'
